I’m with you, Taro! Too many of us and our Ortho docs focus on pain which creates/increases rigidity in both body & outlook.

You're welcome! If you attend to your body and move very gently, I believe this would help arthritis of tailbone/sacrum. How you pay attention to your body and how you move make a difference.

“Lubricate the joints “ ….. what lube does the body create/ use? Does diet help or hinder? Thanks for all you do to help us heal!!

synovial fluid lubricates joints, and movements faciliate synovial fluid production. So some say motion is lotion!

I'm definitely going to try this. I had a torn labrum which was massively painful and then told I had hip dysplasia and only surgery would help. I've been too afraid to get the surgery honestly so I've waited four years and have had some improvement but I still can't walk right or very far. Have you had any experience with this situation? My pain comes from lower right back and wraps around to front groin or vice versa.

everyone is different, and their experience is different, but having said that, I had a torn labrum from ruby, and saw a hip specialist then who told me I had hip dysplasia, and suggested a surgery. That was around 2006, and labral surgeries weren't that common then, so I chose not to have a surgery. I'm moving quite well today in 2024 :)

@@TaroIwamoto Hip replacement for me - no labral surgery (I'm old tho ha) Sure would be nice to move again but ugh. Glad you're doing well :) Wondering - do you think you really have dysplasia or is that just what they say now?
@TaroIwamoto
@TaroIwamoto 6 ай бұрын
@@ckris4446 hip dysplasia is just the term that describes types of hip joint shapes, maybe a shallow or deep socket or head of femur slightly larger relative to the socket, or small relative to the socket. Of course, everyone has unique bodies, and you would expect everyone to have different hip joints. Hip dysplasia is not abnormal condition. But because of differences in joint shapes, right hip and left hip dont move exactly the same way, and its rather strange to assume that our bodies move and function symmetrically.

you mean to become a movement coach? it depends on what it is that you want to convey, who you want to help. everyone has their story and mission, so it's different for everyone. I have a background in exercise physiology, kinesiology, athletic training, physical therapy, martial arts, Feldenkrais. These are not requirements. I've gone through my life and have pursued these along the way for reasons, that's my personal journey. Let your journey take you to where you need to and enjoy!

I do not know if these exercises are meant for those of us with artificial hip. I have asked you several times and you do not answer.

this particular lesson can be benefitial for people with artificial hip(s), but it's important to note that depending on a type of surgical procedure, when a surgery was done, this might not be approriate, so it's best to check with your surgeon to be safe.
