This one felt like a fast pace, quick draw review and not like a real ev range test. Pace was hurried and the part after the point where the presenter says "i will be doing a bit of spirited driving in the sport mode" missing any details as to what changes were visible after switching over to sport and for how long was sport mode engaged. Another funny thing was high emphasis on "music on all the time" as a car reviewer he should know that there is a seperate battery for auxiliary functions like music system, lights, etc. Cannot call this a test or the person a reviewer basis this video. Would appreciate if motobeam could help us with more carefully crafted content than just rushed videos.

Reposting my same comment(from other video) I think people are calculating range w.r.t. highway drives /long route journeys only which is not the case for everyone 1. Many people travel 50-100km daily for office commute, they can charge it at home at 1Rs per km cost which is excellent 2. even for Highways if you maintain 65-70speed(again not everyone drives on expressways) , leave early morning its easy to cover 300km as you won't use AC much 3. Many people like me take a break after every150 odd km or max 250 so charging during that break is possible 4. for full load this number will reduce but again when you travel with so many people stops are imminent and not all time one would travel with full load So IMO its quite useful for handful of people and of course a certain amount of planning and calculation during long travel will be needed

So just my view to be noted If govt of india installs ev charging station at every 150-200 kms then EV's will be a boom 💥in India!!

Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai is not equal to Navi Mumbai - Pune - Navi Mumbai. Between the two sister cities there is a minimum of 30 kms of distance one way. A person who starts from Mumbai usually takes a minimum of 45 minutes just to cross over into Navi Mumbai, where the real highway journey starts towards Pune. So it's incorrect on your part to put Mumbai Pune Mumbai in your title. It's misleading.

I feel the roof area which actually faces the blazing sun all the time can be utilised to put a solar panel which can take some (if not all) AC load off the EV’s battery. Any steps taken to extend the EVs range even by 10-20kms are very significant. Solar panel will be much more practical than that useless sunroof.
@MrJishnu2 жыл бұрын
1 square mater of surface can receive 1000W power in direct sunlight. The best solar panels have about 20% efficiency, so we can generate a maximum of 200 to 300w from roof solar. If a car exposed to direct sunlight for about 10hrs, the max power it can generate is about 2 or 3 KWh. Assuming a typical EV can cover 7km per KWh, you are looking at 14 to 21km increase, which cannot justify the additional weight and expense.
@AD95YA2 жыл бұрын
True, it could perhaps be useful in an emergency situation where you could park car in full sun to get a few extra kilometers to reach a charger. Especially when travelling through village areas or during power ourages.

@@sumeet7633 Fast charger is available but to be purchased separately I think, will take 1hr to charge, but even then availability of charging station is must, especially while travelling, have to really on petrol/ diesel for another 5 years, but these evs are great for driving around city.

Bro why you did the range test with range anxiety ? 12 times Range Anxiety !!!
@soloflick65792 жыл бұрын
I think that EVs still Will never be the MAINSTREAM car in future (10 years).. Evs should have ranges of like 4000 kms-5000 kms and showrooms should have enough Batteries to replace instead of charging these.. (like gas cylinders).. but guess what Evs will also be taxed soon.. with taxes this 15lacs car would have been around 20-25 lacs or so.. (may be)

20 lakh for 300km without ac is not average Indian can afford, to include middle class, the price shoud be between 8 to 10 lakh and range of least 350 km + ac which is impossible.
@sanalkumarvg26022 жыл бұрын
looks like he got paid from mg ...Who will test the range of a new car? which is a media drive vehicle ? Even if you test the mileage of a new maruti swift media drive car, it will show poor mileage ...did you have done this same range test on MGzs media drive car?or are you just want to defame tata only ?
@sachingalagali5032 жыл бұрын
The range is not good. Its very low for EV MAX only 250max and that too with lots of power saving mentality. The company claims 400+km.
@deepsharma39092 жыл бұрын
U think it's worth spending 20 lakh for range just 250 km while they claim 437km...almost half the range they claim... Better wait for cheap international standard car to come
