bought nexon ev on 28-5-21. next day itself we knew this piece had inherited problems. the battery dropped by 30-40% while parked multiple times. we took the car to workshop, they said its a software issue, they updated, no relief. we took the car again and again, every time they said its this or that but the problem wasnt solved. also it wasnt charging on fast chargers. out of 25 days, 10 days the car was in workshop. so much mental agony, so many phone calls daily, approx 20 workshop visits, this car is a pain. cars are supposed to make life easier not worse. finally they changed the battery pack 2 days back, we thought its over but NOOOOO....... This car wont let u breath.... there are new issues now. even with 95% battery, its system is detecting 0 battery and the car is locked with limp mode. we have been contacting tata motors for a replacement with no response. we want a refund now. U can get stranded anytime, anywhere even with full battery.

Great review! Just wanted to add this info that might be helpful for prospective buyers of 2021 Nexon ev XZ+ variant compared to 2020 model: 1. Missing rear Center armrest 2. missing rear adjustable headrests 3 non foldable rear seats 60:40 missing 4. No ESP, traction control like it’s ICE counterparts 5. Price increased by 40K It’s definitely not a progressive step fromTata motors. Dealers show you XZ+ variant from 2020 and take your booking and later we realise these features are missing after coughing up lakhs of rupees more than the petrol/diesel variants. :(

City you got 197km only? What kind of driving style did you do? You must also tell how hard you accelerated .. EV range depends on various factors.. you didn't do proper testing. I thought your video had more about range test.. but half of your video had details about the Car. It's 1 year now people know the specifications.. they want the actual real world tests.

sooooo true. i was really disappointed with the video
@GauravChaudhary093 жыл бұрын
220 range if you drive at 60 with less acceleration. The harder you accelerate it consumes huge chunk of battery. I saw 1 percent dip in 1km during acceleration. Once you reach at high speed try to maintain that Speed. That's the key to get 200km.range
@PratikKumar_blade3 жыл бұрын
Is the mileage tested with AC on or off. Considering the tested range figures, it looks like its off which is not so ideal scenario. Also one thing that is sticking out is how the highway range is more and city is less. Usually in highway you will be cruising at constant speed with very less regenerative braking at work to recharge the batteries and in city its other way around with comparatively high regen. braking and thus extracting higher range atleast in theory. Or was the car driven in eco mode during the test. But in that also, the above statement still stands. Now before all Tata fans jump on me for writing this. I am trying to understand the facts stated in the video. So please spare me from that perspective.
@nextdooryoutuber3 жыл бұрын
Trust me, it has less than 200 kms of range. And yes people say that in city you will get more range because of regeneration but thats not the case. When i took its test drive, i asked representative how to get that 300 kms mark range, he said and I quote “ sir in order to achieve that range you will have to keep driving at constant speed(coasting) of 80 to 100 and if you drive normally 270-280 is you can expect from it. Well if you drive at that speed max range is 160 kms. And fyi it does not have eco mode, just drive and sports.

If mileage is your thing then trust me this is not what was promised by nexon ev... Far from the truth real world mileage depends on factors like brake Regeration, ac used city or highways cruse and luggage and passengers on board.... But mg ez ev is better that this in a sense it has better millage per charge a bigger battery pack, more space in the inside and lots of tech features and voice assisted controls and a massive sunroof.. On the down side it is a bit costly and mg dealers are few pan India..

@CarWale3 жыл бұрын
The package offered by Tata is the best compromise between range, charging time and, most importantly, cost. A portable battery will not add any significant range to the car, it may not charge quickly or at all and it may not be as safe too. Unfortunately, till lithium-ion battery tech improves in terms of storage density and cost or an improved battery technology comes along, this is one of the best options we have.

When the car shifted from sports or drive mode to neutral, the car can cover a distance of 1 km by simply coasting or may be more. May be there is a Solution for EV users. Drive upto 80kmphs in "D" mode and shift to "N" and put it back to D when reaches down to 50kmph. Some range can be increased. As it is said (drops of water creates an Oceans)👍👍 Think about it 👍🙏 Talking about normal roads which we drive on which we don't feel the decline. Don't think that I am talking about hill station roads. In normal taxiwala use this trick while driving petrol or diesel car or even CNG to increase the Range. This Coasting or Neutral should be done in Highways or Open Roads were less traffic.
