He should not be allowed to hide his tattoos. When will society begin to protect victims instead of predators?

About the tattoos - people want to message something to other people with their tattoos. He wants to look scary and evil. So let him be. HE decided to put those on FOREVER. So why do we need to dance around and plant flowers around his bad choices? Many of things we can't choose, for example skin color, but doing this to his face was HIS OWN choice. Bad one? Well... It's on him.

The questions about his tattoos can be explored during the trial. Finding out when he got them and why he got them. If possible they could ask the tattooist to testify. If he got the swastika 10 years ago when he had negative feelings against Jewish and ethnic minorities, but since then he has demonstrated positive behaviour towards those groups.. then that can be explained away. I doubt it, but it could be a cause for reasonable doubt.

That's all fine and good. I personally wouldn't want someone convicted of killing my loved one because of how he looks. That isn't justice for the victim. I would want jurors to not be prejudiced and to focus on what he did. Some can't do that. He looks hideous but maybe he's innocent.

I wonder if the three jurors from the Parkland case realize that they screwed up so bad…. Sometimes it seems like a bunch of idiots end up on jury duty. Like the Casey Anthony case, I lost my faith in our judicial system completely after that one. They should have the potential jurors take an intelligence test to qualify.

This could very easily be a play to appeal a conviction because if the jury mentions the guy's tattoos, that could be grounds to throw out the verdict.

In Alec Baldwin's case the person responsible for loading/unloading that gun ie the person responsible for "items required by actors" is totally responsible and they should be on charge for the gun going off, not the actor. My opinion anyway.
@jessijflyАй бұрын
Absolutely, they literally get a nice fat paycheck for doing exactly that. If that were my job, I would do it right and double check everything. That’s the whole reason why they are hired. Pretty obvious if you have common sense. I don’t know why it’s so hard for people to understand this, glad to see someone else who has not completely forgotten how to think rationally.

My primary issue with the Alec Baldwin case is his lack of remorse. I agree with your assessment of the case but it’s distasteful to see this tragic accident turned into a trick and pony show. I mean reality tv? Where is the sorrow for the life of Helena? Even if it wasn’t criminal show some respect and decorum for the family.

His tattoos should've been covered long before the jury had a chance to see him period, it's too late now.
@mnmkmkm5 ай бұрын
The main reason they switched to a 9/3 for death penalty- was due to jurors not being honest about this during voir dire. Some falsely claim they would be willing- if appropriate,to find in favor of a death penalty. Interviews with jurors who deliberate tells a different story.

I understand the 1st thing to do is blame CPS for not doing anything to parents when heinous child abuse/neglect happens. What isn't understood is that the laws bind the hands of CPS. They have no authority to do much. The police and DA have to step in. As a former CPS worker, the agencies with the authority don't do much.
@wuncieadams13525 ай бұрын
CPS should have been checking on the child’s welfare at least weekly by visiting the home, seeing the child and talking to the child without the caretakers being present.

The Alex Baldwin Rust trial will be a mess. 1. AB is his own worst enemy. Everytime he opens his mouth, he comes as an arrogant know it all. 2. The reality show is clearly a PR stunt to swing public favour in his direction. 3. Prosecution attorneys are terrible. That Kerri lady will be eaten alive by a competent defence team. 4. Hannah is a terrible witness for the State. Her bad attitude in the jail calls is what landed her prison time in sentencing. She will come across like an entitled, vengeful brat. Not a good choice of witness.

I say let him cover his tattoos. That way when he’s found guilty, he won’t be able to appeal the conviction with the excuse that his tattoos were prejudicial because they inflamed the jury and caused them to convict him based on his appearance. Then he can go rot in prison until he goes to Hell.
