The energy absorbed by that chassis has warped the entire structure. Aluminum memory is not the problem. It is the strength loss of the material once it is bent and corrected. Salvage the reusable components from the SLC and scrap the remainder. The F355 is a tremendous amount of work. Put your time there.

It’s a mono-cockpit with tube style framing. Drift, time attack, nascar, f1, f3, monster trucks, funny cars, jet cars, all use tubing style framework for faster efficient repairs. For as much as a slc cost I’d buy the 2500$ in parts and rebuild. It makes absolutely zero sense in why this is a write off. It isn’t a regular ole Honda street car with Parallel running square steel frame front to back.

I had a Mazda rotary pickup way back in 1976. Put a Racing Beat intake and Holly carb on it along with their recommended headers. It was noisy, fast and could not pass a gas station without pulling hard to the left or right. Rotor tip seals went south just as I was getting ready to move half way across the country. So I bought a German made Mustang V6 engine and transmission oy a yard and a swap kit from some guy in San Diego. Had a flat bed carry it to the muffler shop and waited while they did the job. Drove it home, hooked wp my trailer and hit the interstate. Kept the truck for another four years it layed down one day on my way to work and I had to shoot it. Rotor tip seals were a big problem early on but I am sure that problem has been solved.

For the SLC partner up with Vtuned/Rather be welding and repair the tub/Frame. “You will most probably need directed heat on the bottom of the tub where it’s warped to make it Malleable.” Or buy sheet aluminum as thick as the lower tub, cut it to shape, and weld the rest of the frame to it.

As for the chassis pan cut off the bent pieces and start bending it back in small sections and then TIG weld it all back together. Get your TIG on Travarish... You can do this without breaking the bank.

Hammer out what you need to, build a structure to support the racing sim goodies (pc tower, pedals, steering wheel, monitor/tv mounts, etc), and cover the rest up with a clam shell rear. Throw in some LEDs and paint it. Take what hoonigan did with their drift sim to the next level.

If it is a platform that was made specifically for this manufacturers needs, I would look into a triple turbo for it. If it is engineered for a racing application already, you might be able to easily get 1000 to 1500 Hp or more, out of that beautiful 3 rotor engine. I've even heard of getting 2000 Hp from some of those engines.

I can rebuild the Aluminum frame for you and would be happy to do it if you shipped the frame out here (Las Vegas) ,we have a frame puller/lift/machine BUT MORE IMPORTANT i have a CNC plasma cutter table which is 60" X 60" Table with a 60amp 220 Plasma and 2 AC/DC TIG welders, i can cut new Aluminum pieces and TIG them together just as the original frame was made! It would just be a matter of recreating the original pieces welding them together , test fitting them in place THEN the Frame Puller/Lift can be used to square it up. Its a SIMPLE frame compared to many super cars and boxed frames for air bagged trucks that ive built and i would do it for you as a FAN just for the challenge just cover the Metal Cost (It would be a perfect project for my new CNC plasma table which i built myself and have been planning on doing small quantity Prototyping/Fabrication also i love TIG welding and building cars and trucks). I have built turbo kits for my KA and SR (Manifolds), supercharger kits for BMW E36's and LT1 Chevys v8's in a 73 Mercedes 300D and FOX body Mustangs ( 1 Lt1 stang i built and coded my own trans controller for Paddle shifting a built chevy 4l60E trans with OD+ Lockup ), ive done airbag suspension on trucks and currently a 75 c20 4 link Notched and boxed rear with tubular EQUAL length front A arms (ZERO camber change as height changes also my land rover LR3 i lowered on 22's 2" drop while retaining stock air ride and the offroad height is still the same (custom mounted the Air struts for increased travel). Let me know what you think and if your interested we can chat on the phone about it and figure out the details. Maurice

I would get some tube aluminum and rebuild it in your own image. It is a lot of work but with a frame puller some aluminum and wielding it could be a great car and well worth it.

I would strip the race car for parts for your Lamborghini build. Those rear axles especially might be useful for that. And if you mapped out the basics of the body, you could probably piece a new one together from scratch with tube aluminum. Speaking of which, I'm really eager to see how that Lambo build will go. So I really hoping you make another video on it soon.

The car body looks cool. I think you should replace the crushed portion and keep on moving.... if your budget allows for it. If not put that motor into a RX-7 and add a big turbo, add a couple more rotors. Major points! Jkjk

Rebuild a 5 liter v8 or an LS1 and put in the LSC race car! Would be super cool! Put it on a frame machine straighten it out. Rebuild it... I think a full rebuild on this car would be eaten up by your viewers! It's such a rare futuristic (albeit old) race car would be an awesome rebuild and it would truly be something you'd enjoy for years to come!!! 😎👍👍👍

Check your youtube analytics, focus on the project that's getting more hits. If the SLC is doing well enough, get SLC to build you a new chassis and essentially shell swap it.
