This is a FANTASTIC song!! Love it so much. This whole album was made during Covid. Justin Vernon (Band Name: Bon Iver) wore a scarf because of the pandemic. He had a full camera crew in his studio. He didn’t go to the Long Pond Sessions because of the travel restrictions. Aaron Dessner is friends with Justin. Taylor is a HUGE Bon Iver fan and was too shy to ask him to do this duet with her. Can you imagine? Of course he said yes, and he came up with the bridge of the song. She kept telling herself that this song wasn’t going to happen because it was such a big dream of hers to work with him. She was thrilled that he agreed. His vocal range is incredibly large. His voice is just phenomenal and they harmonize perfectly together. She knew exactly who she wanted. I think that is why Jack Antonoff (piano) was smiling a little bit during the video because he knew how happy Taylor was with how this song turned out. Jack is phenomenal in his craft, too. Taylor and Jack are a well-oiled machine who push and trust each other to make the best music. Love everything about this song. ❤❤❤

I wish this song lasted another 5 minutes. The 'cry' in his voice is killer. Taylor showed up at a Bon Iver show in London at the end of 22. Justin had just started singing this song and she walked up on stage to sing her part. There is a fan video on line.Must watch. It was a big surprise for Justin, because at the end, he says..I don't know what to do now. Aaron Dessner is at the piano and I don't know how that happened.. It is magical and the audience went crazy

So true! When you said that they were together but at the same time in totally different worlds. I find that very interesting that this song was so amazingly able to capture the ending of a relationship- and how both parties are technically experiencing the same arguments and hard moments in their relationship, but at the same time their perspectives are completely different so the way they see things are almost completely opposite as well. With Selection Sunday action, I forgot it was Swift Sunday! Fortunately, I'm subscribed, so I got a notification and got right to it. I'm glad we all liked this studio session video. The lyrics are great, as expected -- I think I wish there were more. Him switching from "'Cause you never gave a warning sign" to the duet's "I gave so many signs" was an odd choice. His voice is distractingly slightly muffled at a few points, but he's a good pairing. Overall, this is a very good song. Good job with the reaction! I enjoyed it. 😊 My team got the best seed it could expect 😅, after closing the season strong 💪 and losing its first conference tournament game 😢. Only 6 more wins to go. 😂 It's been 12 years since they've been able to do that. 😰
