I’m wondering if Snow on the Beach will build on all the sea/nautical imagery on Evermore… “my waves meet your shore ever and evermore” “guilty guilty reaching out across the sea you put between you and me” “I’m on waves out being tossed” “Eyes like sinking ships on waters” “I’m like the water when your ship rolled in that night” etc etc. and there are more! I also really liked your prediction for it-would love if she dived into feeling like a sweet nothing/her whole good girl complex thing. I feel like the only time that she came really close to talking about the re recordings and Scooter with more blatancy was in “It’s Time To Go”. I feel like this song gets over looked since it was a bonus butttttt it gives me chills and cuts right into my heart. I feel she only did this game of revealing the songs gradually for Karma. She somehow created a tension everybody felt, but without knowing what to expect as a result or what the peak point will be. Except that she knew. The peak point was Karma. And after Karma was revealed I do not think there would have been another reason for keeping the same pace. She knew it. She kept it as long as she could and then stoped it when she thought was the time. She is really smart on this marketing thing. I also think the 4th track featuring Lana will be one of the singles.

Also regarding Snow on the beach, for me sounds like some kind of reverse thing. Like people only like the beach when is sunny and warm. Nobody think about it when the dark settles and the cold is coming. Even tho the beach keeps her own beauty even then. So I feel maybe it will be about the emotions that come when we are being left alone because of our mistakes. And keeping the same tone, the next track You're on your own, kid will make sense and I feel it will be about dealing with those emotions and accepting them.

I think Mastermind is also one of these phrases that she will flip on its head! Since Mastermind is the last track, and they tend to be more introspective and meaningful, 'closing a chapter'- type of songs, my theory is that it is going to be about being a master of your own mind. Taylor will talk about how she managed to combat her anxiety and sleepless nights by coming to terms with the fact that some things she just can't control, only her reactions are within her power to control. It's going to be a positive ending to this album, full of night terrors and turmoil.

I feel like Mastermind will have a similar upbeat production to CUFF IT by Beyonce on her new album. I think it will definitely be in detail about her overcoming the turmoil and night sweats, but in a celebratory way. If the theory about the album being split in half like Act I and Act II where the beginning is all turbulent and the latter is reclaiming her sense of being, I think we will end on an intricate and dancy tune.

Love your predictions and feel like a lot of them may very well come true! Personally, I'm most excited for Anti-Hero, Mastermind, Midnight Rain, Sweet Nothing, and Question...? If I may add a few thoughts: 1) When I think of Snow on the Beach, I think of the contrast between a super fun, summer day that you're supposed to enjoy as a young adult and the snow coming into cancel/change plans OR add an obvious sense of devastation; creating this foggy snowfall that blocks out the sun. This makes me think of perhaps certain parts of the 1989 era (the grammys night you mentioned?) and the lyric "forcing laughter, faking smiles"- all the times where she should have been happy, grateful, and having fun, but SOMETHING was weighing down on her preventing from feeling that way, OR that there was a relative impermanence that she sensed about the moment (ie, snowmelt). Then I thought about the inclusion of Lana- someone who doesn't necessarily portray herself as forcing any emotion she is not truly feeling for the sake of public image. If there is snow on the beach, she is not going to pretend it is a sunny day. Taylor, though, might, especially in the past! Maybe this is her further coming to reckon with the impermanence and emotional authenticity of those moments! Haha this was definitely a longer analysis than I thought it would be and I could be very wrong, but that was the first thing that came to mind! I also think Sweet Nothing could have similar themes... explore meaning v. meaninglessness in public image. 2) Question...? at the beginning of Side B makes me think that, in the same way that this is literally a transitional song on the record, it will be about a transitional song in her musical life. It makes me picture her in a conference room with record executives, announcing her transition to pop, and the immediate silence that followed. It's kinda giving sassy vibes! "Does anyone have any questions for me?" (condescending) I should probably go put as much effort into my school essays as I did this comment but I'd be interested in hearing further thoughts!

Ok, before I see this I'm just going to say what my very first thoughts were when seeing the tracklist all in order... It looks like a possible chronological narrative of her side of everything from the beginning of her career to now, I think possibly reflecting on her own image and emotions... 1. Lavender Haze - The start of her career when everything was too good to be true, living in a haze 2. Maroon - Going from being on top of the world and experiencing this first love, fiery, passionate, Red... Then everything goes dark... more like maroon... plus it connects to track 2 on Red being Red 3. Anti-Hero - Taylor went through a tough time for a while before her conflict with Kanye... She was beginning to see the cracks with her record label, her parents went through their divorce, she had been done dirty by every guy she dated, and then attacked by the media for it and painted as if there was something wrong with her bc she couldn't keep a man and was a serial dater = slutty 😔 All this at an age when you really start getting a feel for the world and it had to have hurt so bad, made her realize all her heros weren't what she thought, or possibly she could be referring to herself as the anti-hero 🥺 4. Hopefully about running away to her RI Mansion (about 45 minutes from Meee 🤩🥳 it's amazing, and in such a gorgeous little town and beach, that's the thing she has to be drawn to, for sure!) 5. You're on your own, Kid - moving to New York? 6. Midnight Rain - I'm thinking this is when everything really fell apart and maybe there was a particular night when she knew it was imploding and it was raining 😭 6. Question...? - Self exile - Questioning everything 7. Vigilante Shit - Reputation - Enough said 8. Bejeweled - Coming out on top - Shining/Bejeweled 9. Labyrinth & 10. Karma- I'm thinking are connecting maybe... And we all know what our thoughts are on Karma! 11. Sweet Nothing - Joe - Sweet nothings keeping her up in the night 💚 13. Mastermind - (first off - ending on her number) She's the puppet master - Always in control of E V E R Y T H I N G in every way... Actually what comes to my mind when I think about „mastermind“ is how Taylor is very very often referred to as and called mastermind by her fans and maybe the pressure that comes with it to always foreshadow everything, hide Easter eggs and always have everything perfectly thought through (also in regards to lyrics, metaphors, stuff like that). Some person said that it may be interesting to listen to it in the order of what she released the MMwM in. What are your thoughts? Do you think that this may give some new information or a new perspective of listening to it this way that she WANTED us to keep in mind? Or do you think that by now it has all been entirely random, even to her? I think it may be interesting, but that it wouldn't provide any new context other than just listening to it in order. And that a closing track, listened to as an opener might feel a bit off.

Not that she is throwing shade to Calvin Harris but is it a coincendence that Sweet Nothing is track 12. His song Sweet Nothing feat Florence Welch was released Oct 12, 2012. Is it possible this track of Taylor's refers to a sleepless night when she dated Calvin or right after the breakup?

So interesting. I’m picturing the exact opposite. That it will not be cohesive and linear and that it will be very metaphorical. I think she tries to not have songs with similar tempos back to back to avoid mingling of songs and sounds and will apply again to this album. It seems to be what she does. I think she has explained the ones that are very meaningful and that she doesn’t want people assigning different analyses to them esp if worried people would imply things about her relationship with Joe by mistake.
