I just started uploading videos to my KZbin page about a month ago. The quality isn't so good. I think it's because Iike any task I am new and learning, I'm starting to get comfortable with doing it and I'm now learning how to edit my own videos and I know my video content will improve over time. The one thing that I commend you on is I didn't understand how hard it is to take that first step until I actually did that first step. Putting yourself out there is a huge thing to do. It's getting out of your comfort zone and learning something new. A lot of people don't understand that in life we learn many things when we fail because we adapt and keep going and learn more and more. Thank you for this video It is helping me learn how to improve myself.

That’s being an independent content creator and doing it all yourself means you have to be realistic about where you want to go. Its unfair to compare you to Brett Cooper, who has a production team behind her and got a million subscribers in less than four months! Starting out, you did it as a part time and wondered if if was for you. Then when you liked it, you stuck with it and here we are. Congratulations, Taylor you will do well and your million would be as big an achievement as your 100,000. You may not be an ex Hollywood celebrity but you make stuff people consider boring relatable and your personal stuff gets others to say, I wanna try it! People with an idea no longer need to be actors to find an audience.

Taylor, just found your channel - thanks so much for how comprehensive and honest your advice is! I can tell you put a lot of effort and thought into this, and it def delivered personality and value ;) I totally relate to the struggle of feeling “braggy” to talk about how I got into a T10 school but realized that it’s more about helping others and using the special cards we’ve been dealt! And hey what a coincidence - I’m a management consultant too 🥰

Congrats! I'm going into my senior year of high school and I'm trying to apply to business schools like Wharton and others. I hope that once I'm in college, I'm as put together as you are. It seems like you have done a lot of planning and branching out within your life even at a young age. It's really interesting to see that it is possible to actually do what you love. A lot of people make it seem to be very negative, saying things like you're gonna be working a job you hate or they're gonna work you to the bone forever. But it seems if you have the right mindset you can actually do something you love. I have no aspirations for youtube, (don't mind my dumb kid videos), but I am excited to see what the future beholds me in terms of educational and professional areas.

Here's how you get to 100K subscribers...1. Be a gorgeously photogenic kick-ass young woman, 2. Be as intelligent, educated, humorous, chill & super fun as you are stunning to look at which is appealing to all genders 3. Have a great audio voice as well (ok, well beyond triple threat territory here now) 4. Be SO genuine, humble, respectful, integrity filled AND endearing so that we all wish you were our friend, 5. Have a fabulous variety of content that stretches & grows along with said content creator & ALWAYS in an entertaining way and finally, FINALLY 6. Be willing to take risks, follow your heart while using your intuition & brain and then, maybe, just maybe you could almost model your YT channel after Taylor Bell's :) Lol, but seriously, super congrats!! Amazing video, i'm not an OG, i'm probably phase 4 from the consulting video, but I'm also a graham/iced coffee hour viewer so i kinda feel like a delayed phase 3 😂. Seriously great video btw it's not a generic clout/heart chasing comment, i really appreciate your approach and the way you analysed your whole youtube channel and the way you created a story from it and gave what I think are great tips. I'm a nobody in here so maybe i'm just happy seeing someone who can back it up with views put my thoughts into words, who isn't a channel that specifically makes videos about how to grow on youtube, just someone who makes other type of content, showing how they made it. It's not a super "sacrifice" to make a video on the topic and money/success always draws people in and it's not something out of line, but doing it like you just did with tips for each of the phases is honestly a top notch video and it really deserves applause in my opinion, and cannot be taken for granted. The tip about posting the video on facebook is super underrated and if i were one of those channels who makes videos about growth i'd probably make a video like "The Singular Tip You Need To Get Started On KZbin", it's something I think of a lot about and based on something that is pretty obvious on reflection, basically that getting pushed by the algorithm from 0 views without an external source of traffic is possibly close to impossible (i've seen exceptions, but still), but everything you mentioned there, even stuff that seems like a passing comment is sth i've been thinking about a lot and where "executing" is way less obvious in practice. Making something you can be kinda like "fuck it, i gotta share this even on facebook" is something that I think blocks a lot of people out and can be depressing and get you disappointed and disconnected with the video making process. A tip I would add to this would be that for the kind of people that are less like Taylor and are more introverted and with a higher threshold of feeling embarassed (that lack those soft skills Taylor briefly mentions bc it would sound braggy, but that are important factors), or that want to make videos precisely about stuff that they can't talk to their friends/family about, to try to find a community (online for example) and then make the video for that community. IDK like a subreddit, or a discord. Subreddits can be harder because bigger ones have rules about spam but the idea is to find a smaller one where something valuable will always be welcome. Yes, you can think of it as a source of traffic and in those terms there's gotta be a balance between size , activity, etc that you want to hit, but the main thing is what Taylor says, to make something that can be of value, so like, don't exploit some small niche community for views, but like, try to bring something to the table, but make it in video form. I also liked the comment tip. I comment a lot on videos in general and it's great to see video makers that also encourage good comments, and who actually "started" in other people's comment sections. I've certainly subscribed to several channels by finding them commenting on other people's channels. Maybe not in this genre of "lifestyle" as much , but in genres like video essays that generally have pretty healthy and engaging comment sections, in some cases it's almost better to make a video about the topic "in response to" , etc, as a comment companion than to leave long ass comments like mine that barely get engagement. Old youtube had video replies which were quite lit tbh but since those days are over, a good comment with a lead towards checking out your content (not spammy, just laying the facts, that you've made a video that goes more in depth about it) can be a substitute of that

I think you're underselling just how good your videos are. I can really see the thinking behind how the videos are made, specifically how you really lean on your strengths and add specific quirks on delivery/editing/shots. Hi Taylor! International viewer here. What I like the most about your content: the simplicity when showing your life. I've seen pretty much all your videos in less than 2 months. I think the best videos in this phase are NYC lifestyle and travel. Now that you have more time to create content and travel is one of your passions, probably try a new type of travel content like "In this place, the sun never goes out: Barrow, Alaska", "The US city that is trapped inside Canada: Point Roberts, WA", "Trying $1 food in NYC", "... street food on chinatown", "Visiting Chernobyl" or "the city of aliens: Roswell New Mexico" something different that shows travel and interesting new stuff. As your travel content is interesting, not only travel vlogs but something different would probably work as well. About NYC, the videos that work best about the city are about living there. And some of your best videos are the vlogs too, I'd say to show content like "Living alone diaries", "What I spend in a day in NYC", "Living in NYC with $10/day", something like that. I've seen that it is interesting to see what is it like to live there. About the next phase and constructive criticism (or negative): The worst thing about your channel is that you haven't hired me as an assistant and editor yet. how dare you Last thing, I don't live in the US, but I'd really love to have a photo of a handwritten letter by you. That'd be so sweet! I would save it on my floppy diskette. ❤✌

KZbin threw up some suggested videos on the home page and I clicked on your nyc apartment tour video. I'm not sure if I would have seen your content otherwise but grateful I clicked! I think I keep watching because I'm from the NYC area and I enjoy the city! Also, you seem authentic in your presentation and I find the lifestyle you choose to lead pretty awesome! I liked the videos on consulting because I can see myself going into consulting for software development process and automation in the future (if writing software gets boring down the line). I don't really have any constructive criticisms yet. I didn't come looking for your channel for anything specific so I have no expectations and just sort of enjoy the variety and get a little something from every video you post. They inspire me in different ways and that's pretty cool. However, I think it be cool to get your take on how you study/learn new things optimally, cool and fun things to do around the city and the personal finance things given the crummy financial climate... but mostly, keep doing you! @matt.perrelli 🗽

Congrats on the 100k! If there's any regret here is that is not discovering this channel any earlier to belong to the OG squad. This channel is really refreshing because you seem to be having fun most of the time. I get that there most likely stressful things in the consulting role and big city person life, but you don't seem to have ranted about it so far, and always took up the difficulty change as a challenge (apartment hunting, some client/project consulting examples, etc, etc). That. Is. Refreshing. I mean, you can also see this with your video thesis "always provide value", because you always have something to learn. And if you have something to learn, you always have something to share. I love that there's a healthy balance of privacy and sharing in on your videos because the things you share are also things that almost anyone, anywhere, with access to internet, can also learn. They're not just exclusively about you. I also love the rhythmic themes on the videos you post. They seem to cycle through work/money, lifestyle vlogs, travel. Make it seem relatable and multi-faceted. It's not your just your typical KZbin channel that talks about one thing and that thing only. Also, the semi-deadpan humour/personality adds a touch of quirk to the videos that just makes them so Taylor Bell. Here's to 250k to Turty squad 🥳

#Agreed! 💯 I just #subscribed 4 weeks ago while in a course for starting my #CreativeJourney! Surprisingly, I realize now I DID recognize Taylor as, I used to follow Graham's videos and Podcast with his brother and remember watching both her Tinder date interview and then even better, her follow up interview that included her significant other! 😂 It was #golden! So cool how things come back around #FullCircle sometimes; especially now that I am #SharingMyWork as well and trying to continue to #BeMyself as well as Taylor does in her content! 🙌 I will continue to; 👀 to #learn and #GrowMyContext and #KnowledgeBase. 🙏

Taylor! Love the video, and can relate to the position your channel was in during Phase 2 (right after gaining many new subscribers "inorganically"). My channel had something eerily similar happen! I made a viral LinkedIn post and it funneled ~5K sub to us over night. And I'm still on that journey to figure out how to best add value and retain + grow that audience! But as usual, great video. At first glance, I would've assumed I actually wouldn't have enjoyed your content too too much. Mainly because I already know about consulting and am normally not the one to watch vlog-type stuff. However, I think you strike a unique balance of valuable information, down-to-earth-ness, humor, and vloggy-ness that makes your content quite engaging! Plus, your editing is very impressive. I've tried taking many notes on it myself to adapt to my own videos. Here are some things I'd think about if I were you: ---To continue: including your humor, using editing as a way to introduce your personality and liveliness, adding tidbits of your personal life (b-roll with friends, shots from home in LA and NYC) ---New stuff to think about: talking about more existential topics (what motivates you, how have you grown since college, etc.), content around how you actually learned to make and edit YT videos, how you (will) manage work and YT Best of luck going forward! Hope this helps @neelisreddy

Yo Taylooooor! I followed your Channel since your move to NYC, the first thing I thought was.. ’New York is looking sooHOT this season!’ and kept me going through the entire video😄 I was more astonished with your video editing skills and the identity you created for your channel. Nice variety of content while keeping up with your journey. Your video ’How to create casual & Spicy outfits’ was a KILLER for me! And what I like most about your videos are your intros, outros and inserts not to mention your presentation skills. Keep it up Taylor & Congraaaats!! 🎉

I found your channel after watching the apartment tour guys video and seeing your comment! It might not be your niche but seeing how you plan a video and the process of making one would be useful. I’m always coming up with new ideas but I’m bad at executing them I’ve made a few vlogs however I’m not quite sure on the unique selling points or my ability to tell an entertaining story yet.
