They actually have their native language.the youbas are actually a tribe there and their dialect is quite different from the Nigeria yoruba.I speak one of the languages which is Ogu alada But I was born in Nigeria,Badagry so lol yeh

There's a place in Asia that's pretty much like this, the name escapes me right now, but they attract millions of tourists annually. I'm not saying this place should become a tourist trap, but it's sure got a lot of potential. Another cool thing about African countries that I love is how the average person speaks 3-4 languages. There are many sites of refuge in Africa where people evaded capture into slavery. Mountainous areas were common places of escape. The Akoko region of South Western Nigeria had many settlements in the surrounding hills as the region was constantly raided by different armies for slaves. The Atakora hills in Ghana also served as refuge from slave raids.
