I understand if you don't like it but you gotta understand why so many people like it. You got guys with some real problems like Paul, Rudy, Eris, norn, Rudy grandma. And we follow them and see them learn shit slowly and improve. Ofcourse the fightin is good too. I just like it because it feels realest and it doesn't shy away.

@@Learner_29 never read the novel for MT did for TBATE, but the vibe I get from watching the anime makes me feel like a big diference between the two is the depth and that uncomfortable angle. MT had alot of character depth and development, but it often felt uncomfortable to watch Rudeus take advantage of girls since not only is he an adult, but he sees himself as one, I havnt read the novel, so I cant say how well this is protrayed in later aspects, but from what ive seen other series have done the inner conflict more tactfully. However, this could be seen as better than TBATE, as I never got the feeling that Arthur had this level of growth. Overall my experience has been that while MT is more uncomfortable it does its job in showing character development better than TBATE has. The question is whether that growth was worth pushing so many people away. (You seem like someone who enjoys one or both the series, so wanted to share my view and see what you think)

I like jobless mostly because the world building is fantastic, but the characters besides a handful, feels really oddly placed in that world, such as Rudy himself, his personality is just insufferable and disgusting, Arthur is at least redeemable as a middle aged man in a child’s body and takes his place in the world seriously. Tessia (TBATEs sylphie) is a far superior character than sylphie, I love her but again, her personality in the world just feels really out of place compared to Tessie’s character the grows from a childish love struck girl to a pretty hardened soldier that’s still love struck.

TBATE... kind of suffers from being in a more serial format. From what I read of the webnovel retroactively put me off the webcomic. It's like the writer was so desperate to keep it going and not make him overpowered, that he threw everything but the kitchen sink at him. Different characters different story. Rudy was a 34 year old homeless bum while arthur was a blood cold king. Literally yin and yang, complete opposites. Mushoku focuses on characters and world building while tbate focuses on action and fights. Not saying tbate doesnt have world building and characters but its clearly focusing more on the main character gathering power throughout the story compared to mushoku where we get like 4 volumes just on rudy's life at the university.

Even though he have a good power system its not the focus.

Has TBATE gotten to the point of seriousness that the MC was literally just a few centimeters away from killing himself, and how that entire attempt-and-prevention happened in the span of a few moments? Just because you don't like Rudeus and him having a perverted side, doesn't mean his story and personality ain't all there too. Also, if Arthur was that good right off the bat, no flaws, no nothin, then what fukin personality could there even be? Rudeus starts off shitty and much more perverted, but that's coz' him getting Isekai'd is his second chance in life, when he could finally go and develop himself into a better person. Rudeus got over his trauma of going outside, learned how to treat others better, RE-EXPERIENCED trauma with what happened with Eris, got over that trauma with help, experienced deaths and other horrible situations, and so on and so forth.

do you know why I think mushoku Tensei is better cause MT fans have so many problems to point out in TBATE but 99% per cent of TBATE fans have only one thing to criticize and that's rudeus' or the world in Genral's personality which is funny because both were intentionally put by author cause first one shows mc's character development and latter was just how a medical world actually worked and is very close to what actually happened at that time and also showed that people have both good and bad sides while in case of TBATE everyone in that is just monotonous goody two shoes or straight up evil with no in between
