Just love how you showcase a little pup who's not at all trained.....Inorder to actually make others learn how to train the new pups....It makes us feel relatable and easier to also train our little ones....❤️❤️❤️

I was saying paw and grabbing the paw to shake for a good ten mins with no success. Decided to consult KZbin. Found your video and got successful paws under 3 mins with the first tip of using your hands to play. Then eventually I just put an open palm and help the treat with my thumb. Just amazing!

Well there have been power outages here in San Diego the last few days and we are expecting to have the power turned off again, hopefully just for 24 hours this time. So that is why I've not been able to answer all the comments on these videos. I'll be back here when the power's restored :) Stay safe everyone!

Ken Ramirez once said: 'Advanced training is just basic training ... done very, very well'. Your tutorials always remind me of this quote. Your skills are very, very well. It is a pleasure to watch you training your crew..

I took your advice and focussed on calm behaviours with my latest puppy. "Touch" is about the wildest thing we do right now. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge, the nuances really make a difference!

Thank you. I love your tutorial videos. You demonstrate so well the concept of how to build a reliable behaviour before adding the cue.
@kikopup4 жыл бұрын
Sometimes with luring you can get the behavior reliably happening in a matter of repetitions, but this isnt always the case with something like this trick.

And I had taught my Minnie -beagle mix - a silent command for “down” from your training. Also the calm outside a cafe (and yes she did look away and quickly look back lol).

Your work with dogs has changed my life. A bold statement, but I don't think people realize the joy that comes from living a life of positivity and encouraging steps of growth and good behavior, rather than trying to "whip" people or dogs into line. This has changed the way I work with my own dog and changed the way I practice in my professional setting.

Thank you so much for this, I’ve noticed your dogs are always so calm in the background and I’m dying to know, do you train them to do that? How do they sit so still? I almost missed them! Would really appreciate a response, thanks ahead!

i trained my puppy not to paw at anyone (along w no mouthing, or grabbing stuff from my hands) and she grew up so polite that i just COULDN'T get her to paw at my hand it took months for her to finally do it 😭😭

Do you still use the box clicker with poster putty? It sounds so nice and quiet! I really like this video, because with my last dog I taught her with picking up her paws because I didn’t know better but with my new pup I really want her to figure it out on her own terms 😊
@brixuke4 жыл бұрын
Omg, Peppa mostly figured it out in first session - we did the lid target method because otherwise she was just thinking I was luring her 😅

Can you groom or check a dog's paws without having to teach them shake? Teaching them shake like that seems like a good way to get scratched since they're doing it so quickly.

What can I do to get my dog to target paw more gently? He gives me the paws whe I make the gesture, but he's always so forceful it becomes unpleasant to train.
@kaskazimnoch95834 жыл бұрын
These are very vaulable tips, but I admit I only watched this video to see Epic. I would just eat her up. Is this the reason she wasn't a good fit for the previous family - because they were close to smothering her to death with kisses?
