Paul the apostle was a perfect example. As he approached Damascus where a Jewish massacre was happening, he switched!!!! The scales fell from his eyes and instead of being the biggest Christian killer, he realized that it would save his dirty stinking ass. Then he wrote a large part of the New Testament. Exactly like Ulysses. Later, the Romans massacred the Christians. Because Christians actually believed that God would save them from lions etc, the betting in the Coliseum was fierce for - "how long it would take for the "brave Christians" to shit themselves?" Jonathan, I want to tell you that i saw you tell your story of finding the photo of the Devine Mercy on The Catholic Talk Show. On your mailbox retelling and seeing your passion of that particular icon grabbed my attention so that I wanted to see more of it for myself. I search through many version of pictures of the Devine Mercy comparing them to the brief moment of your viewing Finally I found the exact one. I studied it and saved it and thought it so beautiful. Cradle Catholic myself I had not been to confession in over 40 years and holy Communion was only a spiritual encounter whenever I did attend Mass. Lately watching The Chosen, watching The Catholic Talk Show I developed a very strong desire to reunite with the church, Confess and receive Communion. On Ash Wednesday this year I gathered my strength with the push of the Holy Spirit, because I really didnt cherish the thought of pouring out forty years of sins face to face with a priest. But when Father reached out his hand to me after Mass and welcomed me to his church I rushed to tell him I need confession. We met and God’s Mercy washed away all that sin and shame in that little room with Father. For my penance the priest asked if I would go to a cemetery and pray over the dead. I knew I would go to the one my family uses, Resurrection Cemetery. Driving through the gates the welcome sign always drew my attention as it was so pretty. I stopped the car there and in awe saw the picture of Christ was the exact Devine Mercy as yours! The one painting that was a challenge for us both to find I didn’t know Devine Mercy until that day of penance that set me free to pray with a pure soul. You introduced me to Devine Mercy and Devine Mercy came to me that day God bless you and continue to guide you in unforeseen ways to bring Christ to those who seek mercy. ❤

I grew up in a Catholic family and attended 12 years of Catholic school. My faith was very real to me from a very young age and I spent hours talking to God about all sorts of things that came to mind. I remember telling God how very much I wanted to one day have daughters so I could go shopping with them and have fun! 😂 But suddenly an image of a young boy standing on a tree branch came to me and I suddenly knew I’d have a son, and my heart was filled with a strange joy, so I asked God if He’d give me another boy close in age so they could be best friends because I didn’t know what to do with boys, and then could I have my girl? And then He asked, what if she is just like your mom? And the thought froze me, but I replied I would make sure she knew she was loved because my mother never thought she was. Around a decade later, I married a Baptist, and we conceived our adventurous little boy, and when he was four months old, we surprisingly conceived our charismatic son, and 2 and a half years later I had the baby girl I asked for. God always had it planned! (And yes, she’s very much like my mom except each one knows how especially cherished they are!) I don’t know why I felt like sharing that story. Maybe so whoever reads this knows that what Jonathan shared about surrendering to God in prayer is the best way to pray! God is very real and He does hear everything we say to Him, but His Will is much better than our own! God bless!

It is sin that brings sickness into our lives so in order to overcome your afflictions you need to overcome your sin. A true Christian cannot sin nor can we ever get sick since we are someone who is born of God. The majority of believers are not Christians though since they have been deceived by the devil and they are following his lies. Their eyes have been blinded to truth and this is why they will twist or add to scripture in order to justify their sin and their sicknesses. Catholics twist scripture to justify why they worship idols since they willingly pray to statues and they worship mortal souls like Mary and their saints. They prove that they are nothing more then pagans in the eyes of God and their many sins will only lead them into sickness or an early death. There is no sin and sickness with God nor is there sin and sickness for anyone who is born of God. Scripture relates that sin and sickness is strictly of the devil and it can only be found in the souls who belong to the devil since they are disobeying God and His commands. A Christian who is born of God is someone who lives exactly “like Christ.” Jesus did not sin and a child born of God cannot sin either. This is how the term Christian originated since the disciples became followers of Christ who no longer sinned. There are very very few of us who are actually born again Christians so if you are starting to get the impression that the vast majority of this world will perish then you are absolutely correct. The believers who follow the devil often try to justify their sin by twisting the meaning of 1 John 1:8-1O or Romans 3:10, 3:23 and 7. They love to claim that Paul was a sinner and they often use the Romans 7 scripture to try and back up their lies. They fail to realize that we have all been sinners at one time in our lives and Paul was simply relating how he was a sinner until he was freed by knowing Christ. They clearly overlook how Paul related that he had died to sin and he was no longer a slave to sin in Romans 6. With the I John 1:8-10 scripture it is simply relating that everyone is born a sinner since we are all born in sin and ignorance of truth. It is saying that this is why we need to repent and confess our sins to God so that He will then forgive us. It is also stating that anyone who believes that they have never sinned is then calling God a liar. But nowhere is this scripture ever relating that a believer will always sin as those who follow the devil desire to believe. Romans 3:10 is simply relating that none of us are righteous since we are all born in sin and this is why we needed a savior to teach us how to stop sinning. Romans 3:23 is actually stating the same thing since we are all born in sin and we all fall short of the glory of God. Sometimes they will even try to use Romans 6:23 to justify why they sin and they clearly have no idea that this scripture is relating that if you sin then you will eternally die, hence “the wages of sin is death.” They also like to claim that the apostles were sinners themselves and they often use Peter denying Christ as their example. Now did the apostles live in sin at some time in their life? They most definitely did since everyone is born in sin and in ignorance of truth. But the apostles were believers who allowed Jesus to sanctify their heart in God’s truth and they learned how to overcome their sins. This is why God then used them as His messengers and He gave them His power to heal. Read John 17:6-19 where Jesus prayed for their sanctification. Now when it comes to the sicknesses in their lives many try to justify their afflictions by claiming that Paul’s thorn in the flesh was a sickness. For some reason many desire to believe that Paul possessed sickness and that he had bad eyesight. If Acts 19 and 28 relates how Paul was able to remove the sickness from everyone who came to him then what could possibly make anyone believe that he was someone who possessed sickness in his life? Couldn’t Paul just remove the sickness from himself as he did with those who came to him for healing? Plus if Paul was bitten by a venomous snake and yet it did him no harm how could anyone possibly believe that type of nonsense! Paul’s thorn in the flesh was not a sickness and these people clearly prove that they do not understand God or scripture. What does a thorn in the flesh do? Well it causes pain and suffering. So just as Jesus suffered in the wilderness by being tempted by Satan, Jesus then allowed Satan to tempt Paul in order to make him stronger in the Holy Spirit. “And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” II Corinthians 12:7-10 NKJV Here are a couple of other scriptures that the deceived will often use. 1 Timothy 5:23 and Galatians 4:13. Realize that most of these people are probably reading from a bible version that has translated the word infirmity into meaning a sickness. Infirmity means physical or mental weakness and it is not a sickness. This is how people are twisting scripture verses in order to justify their sin and their sicknesses. Look here: “Don’t drink only water. You ought to drink a little wine for the sake of your stomach because you are sick so often.” 1 Timothy 5:23 NLT “No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.” I Timothy 5:23 NKJV “Surely you remember that I was sick when I first brought you the Good News.” Galatians 4:13 NLT “You know that because of physical infirmity I preached the gospel to you at the first.” Galatians 4:13 NKJV There are over 2000 different bible versions that all have different translations and different meanings and this is what is leading many astray since some have translated the word infirmity to mean a sickness. When Paul was relating how he was stoned, shipwrecked and whipped scripture uses the word infirmity to relate the many sufferings of Paul. “If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity.” II Corinthians 11:30 NKJV Many others will try to manipulate what the John 9:3 is relating. The disciples already knew that sin was the reason that the man was born blind but they wanted Jesus to pinpoint who’s sin actually caused the blindness. Jesus did not desire to pinpoint who’s sin caused the disability and so He simply made a generalization statement that told them how things were going to turn out so that God could be glorified. Scripture relates over and over how sin will bring sickness and death into our lives. Plus Jesus did not say that it was not sin that caused the man’s blindness. Jesus simply stated that it was neither the man nor his parents sin who caused it so it may have been caused by the grandparents or from some other ancestors sin. “And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.” Exodus 34:6-7 NKJV Some will use Philippians 2:25-26 about Epaphroditus or Acts 9:36-43 about Dorcas. Once again they prove their complete ignorance of scripture. They forget that we are all born in sin and in ignorance of God’s truth. So you may be a believer who is a disciple but you can still be deceived and lack knowledge of scripture as so many are. Judas was a disciple but yet he still sinned since he was never sanctified in truth. So if you have never been sanctified in truth by the Holy Spirit then you still possess sin in your life and so you can still get sick because of your sin. Lastly some will use Job and others from the Old Covenant to justify their sicknesses. When they try to use anyone from the Old Covenant they certainly reveal their complete ignorance of scripture since they prove that they do not even understand the difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. Yes scripture relates that Job was a righteous man but once again we are all born in sin and ignorance and this included Job. So even though Job lived righteously he still possessed sin in his life since there was no forgiveness of sins under the Old Covenant since Jesus had not arrived yet. Finally some will even claim that sin has nothing to do with sickness and they deny the very words that were spoken by Jesus Himself. “But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” John 5:13-14 NKJV So if you foolishly believe that you are a child of God who can sin and who can get sick then try and prove your misguided belief with scripture. Guess what! There are no such scriptures and this is why believers will twist scripture to justify why they can get sick and why they may sin.

@@mikerutkowski7265 Many great points Mike. I call what you are saying "New Age Christians". Those who teach people that all they have to do is accept Christ and then live how you want. It's so disheartening to see people make their belief in Christ as a "Church by Design". Many say "we need no Church, all we need is our belief in Christ." Then they design the Lord and his gospel like it's a "made to order gospel". That's exactly what is being done by all the different versions of the Bible that you listed. Meanings have been changed by man and not through revelation from God. The Bible has been written and rewritten many hundreds or more times since the beginning by many scribes throughout the centuries. This is why I find it difficult to see why pastor's use the you statement that we can't have any more scriptures come forth from God. Who are we to place limits on God? Yet, people are fine when those who want to make a buck take the KJV of the Bible (the most correct), and change the meanings in hundred of scripture verses. People must think mankind can rewrite it to their choosing having nothing to do with revelation from Christ through his Holy Spirit.

Question: Does God want you to make the world a better place? You see, i have a Hobby. The Hobby of trying to make KZbin healthier and safer by using the Report-Option that YT has. It would be totally cool if you could help with that. It costs you nothing, but also generates you no money, so thats that. Its just to help yourself and the plattform, you know. If you could spare just a bit of time to flag Sexists and/or P0rn-Uploader and/or Spam-Bots and/or Scammers, it would be so great, honestly... It would be so simple: I even have the Experience, so i can real quick tell you where the gathering-places for problematic people are... I know my stuf; i did a lot already, but not enough. What do you say? Would God want you to do something helpful that costs you literally no money, but also generates you no money? Is money the only for you, to reason to help strangers? Or will you help the world without a promise for money?

That was the most eloquent, touching, frank and sincere speech I believe I've ever heard. God is using Jonathon in such a special way. When I heard his story about the woman who had just lost her adult son, I just couldn't stop the tears. He comforted her in such a humble, compassionate way. No hint of arrogance or pride that you so often see in famous people. Jonathon didn't think himself above comforting a mourning mother. It reminded me of how Jesus's mother, Mary, must've felt seeing her son crucified on the cross, knowing Jesus was innocent while also knowing that Jesus had to fulfill his purpose for being on the earth. Can you even *begin* to imagine how Mary felt? And she couldn't do a thing to stop it, nor would Jesus have allowed her to. Such a tremendous, profound sacrifice for a world full of sinners, then and those that came after and have continued ever since.

Hello Jonathan. I just watched this video actually today 3 January 2024. I listened to so many interviews you repeated your life story so many times. Almost every interview was a copy paste. I watched it’s ok. But this time I was mesmerized you really took my heart and soul, paying attention to what you said. It was so well read and said that it was fabulous. I loved it so much that I started to cry watching you. All came from your heart nothing acting or artificial. I am from Egypt my father was Greek Orthodox from Greece. I was baptized orthodox then went to private Catholic Nuns school I had to have my first communion to convert to Catholicism, my mother was Armenian catholic. So no problem. Then came to Canada married a Coptic orthodox man my hubby may he RIP 20 years ago. We got married in the Catholic Church. Then I started attending the Coptic orthodox mass fell in love with it. But I was refused communion in the Orthodox Church I had to get re baptized for a second time , yes again and I was immersed in a tub my whole body with my two teenage daughters and we became orthodox. After my husband passed for other reasons I went back to the Catholic Church and I am still there. I am still living on the memory of my beloved husband. Long story but interesting. If you ask your dad he will tell you that what the Orthodox Church asked from me was true. Must get baptized to have communion. May the blessings of Our Lord Jesus Christ be with you now and forever. May he protect you from every evil.✝️ If you ever visit Montreal Quebec Canada I would love to see you! 🌹

Roman Catholics are NOT Christians. This false teacher you watch needs to be saved from his sins and so do you. Read the bible. Salvation is by Grace alone, through Faith alone, in Christ alone, to the Glory of God alone.
@pamelagold9013 жыл бұрын
The "alone" was a later addition to the bible.
@PR-cq4zc3 жыл бұрын
Roman Catholicism is NOT, never has been, nor ever will be a Christian denomination. The official dogmas of this religious system deny the fundamental doctrines of historic Christianity. These are; Salvation is by Grace alone, through Faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone, as described in the Bible alone, to the Glory of God alone. The Bible is absolutely clear about the Gospel. God is Holy, man is born in sin. No amount of “good works”, including giving to the poor, attending church services, praying to “saints”, praying to Mary, rosary beads, candles, confession, so called “priests”, infant baptism, doing the sacraments, and numerous other rituals demanded by the Roman authorities will satisfy the wrath of God against sinners. This false “church” had the arrogance to remove the 2nd Commandment in order to justify their pagan statue worship. The Roman Catholic Church in the Catholic Catechism teaches that we can merit grace necessary for salvation and that eternal life is attained by faith, baptism, and keeping the commandments, which this demonic religion had the audacity to alter by eliminating the 2nd Commandment of “no graven images”. They also arrogantly added 7 to 11 books at the council of Trent in the 1,500’s which were NEVER considered to be Scripture and often contradict the True Word of God. 1. CCC 2010, "...Moved by the Holy Spirit and by charity, we can then merit for ourselves and for others the graces needed for our sanctification, for the increase of grace and charity, and for the attainment of eternal life." 2. CCC 2027, "Moved by the Holy Spirit, we can merit for ourselves and for others all the graces needed to attain eternal life, as well as necessary temporal goods." 3. CCC 2068, "The Council of Trent teaches that the Ten Commandments are obligatory for Christians and that the justified man is still bound to keep them;28 the Second Vatican Council confirms: "The bishops, successors of the apostles, receive from the Lord . . . the mission of teaching all peoples, and of preaching the Gospel to every creature, so that all men may attain salvation through faith, Baptism and the observance of the Commandments." 4. Paragraph 85 says "The task of giving an authentic interpretation of the Word of God, whether in its written form or in the form of Tradition, has been entrusted to the living teaching office of the Church alone. Its authority in this matter is exercised in the name of Jesus Christ."47 This means that the task of interpretation has been entrusted to the bishops in communion with the successor of Peter, the Bishop of Rome. This obviously faulty teaching in the CCC is hugely problematic since it contradicts Scripture. 1. Rom. 3:28-30, "For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law. 29Or is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, 30since indeed God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith is one." 2. Rom. 4:3, "For what does the Scripture say? "And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness." 3. Rom. 4:5, "But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned as righteousness," 4. Rom. 5:1, "therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." 5. Rom. 11:6, "But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace." 6. Gal. 2:16, "nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified." Why is the RCC teaching that you attain salvation through observing the commandments when the Bible says we are saved apart from the works of the Law (Rom. 3:28-30; 4:5; Gal. 2:16)? 1. Why would the Roman Catholic Church teach that you merit for yourself the grace needed for eternal life when that clearly contradicts Rom 11:6? There is a great deal wrong with what the RCC teaches. We must look to God's word and not to what the RCC says we must do to be saved. Our salvation is not merited by our keeping the commandments! The Roman Catholic Church needs to repent. Salvation is achieved by the substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ, God in human flesh, who died on the cross and rose again to pay the sin debt for all who were chosen from before time to be His people. It is faith in Jesus alone which saves you. In addition, the Roman Catholic religions is responsible for murdering untold millions of true bible believers who refused to agree with it's heretical beliefs and practices. By God’s Grace I was “born again” after 40 years as a devout follower of the pope and all Rome’s teachings. I blindly trusted all the “priests”, nuns, “bishops” and family members without question. Then I read the Bible. I urge all Roman Catholics to read the Bible and to trust the Bible alone to be the source of Truth. I encourage you to question everything you have been taught regarding the false religious system of Roman Catholicism. Jesus promised, “you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free” (John 8:32)

You did meet Jesus. You simply met the devil in disguise.

@@PR-cq4zc you are no different then a Catholic and you write nonsense as well. There are no scriptures that back up the nonsense that you write. Where does scripture ever state that salvation is by grace alone, through father alone, in Jesus Christ alone? There is no such scripture and you are simply a fool who is adding to the word of God.

I have read and listen to everything I can find about the chosen. This talk that I listened to was uplifting to me. I am a Baptist and my daddy was Catholic. I follow the Baptist religion. My faith is through God. There was a time in my life when know as a Mary time with the demons. I went to the world after my divorce. Because I had asked God to change my husband and J Lee kept getting worse and I was falling further away from God until in 1989 I decided on a Divorce. I left feeling like A God didn’t love me and I could do what I wanted and 22 years later I found God again. I hadn’t lost him. He was just waiting for me. I will never be there again. Yes He is a merciful God. Thanks for reading. Amen

Jesus, I trust in you! Thank you for sharing with us. It was beautiful!! The Divine Mercy is so important in mine and my children's lives. We prayed it at my husband, their father, side who was battling cancer, and within 10 minutes of finishing the chaplet, my husband opened his eyes wide, stared at something beyond us and smiled the biggest smile we had ever seen. He proceeded to followe what he was looking at until it was right above him. He was still smiling as he took his last breath. I know without a doubt that Jesus's promises were kept. For He told Sister Faustina, "When they say this chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying, not as a just judge, but as a Merciful Savior" Jesus, I trust in you! Blessings to all on this Divine Mercy Sunday! Also, I loved how when reading the chapter from Matthew at the end, you used your Jesus voice. 💕💕 The Chosen series is incredibly and I have watched Series 1 over and over. Blessings upon all of you.

Sorry for your loss, may he RIP You sound as if you are Catholic? I was a Roman Catholic four many years until the Lord pulled me out and into truth, The lord showed me that Sunday, is not the day he wants US HIS CHILDREN to worship or honor him, Saturday is the CHOSEN day that GOD himself picked. It's in the Ten Commandments, "remember the Sabbath and to keep it holy" these are God's words and not man the Roman Catholic Church decided upon themselves to change GOD commitment and changed it to Sunday, if you're struggling with this I would just ask you to search this out pray about it read about it look it up in scriptures for yourself, so many years I was deceived the Lord has open my eyes... I so enjoy the Sabbath been truly blessed by observing it. GOD BLESS you and your family.

I once prayed for some sort of Catholic blessing to open up a discussion about my Catholic faith. A few days before I received it I also prayed for diamonds from someone who truly loved me. I was thinking of the Catholic husband God promised me. While on my morning walk saying the 4th joyous mystery I said “Blessed Mother, God has made me some big promises, too that I’m trusting Him for. Immediately in front of me on the sidewalk I found a gold Virgin de Guadalupe medal surrounded by 18 tiny diamonds. I also once asked God for some sort of religious icon to concentrate on while saying my rosary out on my patio. A few days later out on my walk saying my rosary, a barbwire cross 14 inches long with beautiful crepe myrtle blossoms stuck in it was right in my path . I almost stepped on it. God is awesome

The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, shoes with the preparation of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the word of God which is the sword of the spirit. Being a soldier of Jesus Christ. Love and truth. They are inseparable. Never one at the expense of the other. On your feet soldier !!
