Robbo's method is to assemble an all star team that belts the f*** out of the opponent. It's all about power and aggression. Works great against weaker teams, but against their equals its found wanting. There’s not too much to it really. It’s kinda simple imo, the roosters are missing a game manager and a long kicking game. Both Keary and Walker have very good short kicking games and short bombs and the trick style kinda kicks. But there’s no 40 meter plus elite kicking game. Roosters rely too heavily on yardage to work their way into good territory. For their defence, idk what they can do to fix it lol. Pretty flimsy edges

anyone that watched that game knows the ref killed every change of momentum for roosters. every chance they had he killed every opportunity. gave Melbourne every single call to get them out of trouble, multiple set restarts for the things they were allowed to do and get away with it. Losing Collins early didn't help the chooks as much as they wanted to run up the middle. Roosters again the back end half of the season chooks have played as if they wanted to score of every single play which they stopped doing for a period then reverted back to it. Collins was gone for the game so Nelson had to be sent off by the standard NRL has set. first hit up of the game, no mitigating factors, no fatigue no excuse for hitting someone high the first few minutes and Hughes not being binned for a trip and professional foul on Crichton denying the opportunity for a try. Also the 3 offsides from storm and not a single penalty given to get chooks up the field, Storm off side nearly every tackle the first 25 mins both halves hit the advantage line every time means no one was onside just like origin.
