I remember that, when I was a kid, I was crazy into the Pokémon anime and used to hum this song all the time (Butterfree's goodbye hit me like a truck). I normally wouldn't upload this but since I already made the loop for myself and this version hadn't been extended yet...Wynaut.
Anyways, this is the movie version and...welp, RIP this theme outside of Japan. TPCi decided to replace most of the OST of the movie as it has been doing with the anime as well for the last seasons. Wish we could get more CD releases of the OST of the anime to have Snowbelle City or Laverre in good quality.

this, to this day, makes me shiver. I had a pet chameleon, had him since he was super young, bought him at petco. Poor guy died about a month ago, and all i remember is he used to sit on my arm while i'd turn pokemon on the tv. We did that about every night. That very episode was the last one we watched before he died a day later. Ivy, wherever you are, I miss you, and dont worry, i never grew up from pokemon.

I just said goodbye to my best friend who is moving to another state. He and I grew up loving many things together and that includes this show. This song and the time has come came to mind when I realized he was leaving. I’ve known him since my jr high days, as two 13 year old kids, all the way up to the age of 29, and it’s all thanks to a simple game of hangman with him being the only one to guess the word, Pikachu. Growing up sucks, I wish I was a kid forever, and Ash and Pikachu would stay in the anime forever too. I’m thankful I got to watch these two growing up. I too think that Ash and Pikachu will return someday, but they probably will focus on developing the new protagonists for some time, maybe for a year or more. It would be nice they bring Ash back at some point as an older Pokémon trainer, maybe as a teen or young adult. And maybe he would serve as a mentor/role model to the new protagonists. (It reminds me that someone on Twitter posted fanart of Ash as an adult and it looked so legit.) Having the characters age and go through different life phases as the series progresses would be pretty cool.

This was the painting when Ash Ketchum was about to get attacked by a group of wild Spearows until Pikachu save him and a massive thunderbolt came and shocked Ash Ketchum consciousness before their adventure. This was the very first episode of the original Pokémon anime series from April 1, 1997 in Japan and the following year on September 8, 1998 in the United States.

I’m dedicating this comment to my Pikachu, Mellow from the Nuzlocke I’m doing in Pokémon Yellow. I went into Erika thinking I’d be fine with my Charmeleon and Hypno, but by the time Erika’s ace Gloom came out, both of them were too low health to do anything. I tried to weaken it with the rest of my team but nothing was working- either they would get crit upon entry or they didn’t have any good moves against it, and so I was down to my Pikachu and Wartortle. I couldn’t bring in Wartortle because it had Petal Dance and had already done some crazy to my Nidoqueen with that move, so I had to send in my Pikachu to hopefully do enough to either win or die. I was able to lower its accuracy with Flash but Mellow got down to 2 HP from one of the Petal Dances. I thought it was gonna be the end of my starter right there, but the Gloom missed its next Petal Dance and I took it out with Body Slam. Somehow we pulled through and I owe it to him. Thank you Mellow.
