Great videos. FYI, my friend, exercise does not release CNS endorphins. It does increase systemic BDNF (a contraction-induced protein) that passes through the BBB and increases dendritic arborization, a marker that correlates with the resolution of depression and more flexible thinking.

I had an interesting visual effect happen when attempting to do green kasina meditation that I now use as neurofeedback. I started out staring at a blade of grass and focused on the green color. After just a few minutes the whole yard seemed to be filled in with the clump of grass that was around the blade I was focused on ; it was like using the clone tool in photoshop. The tiling would shift from small/many tiles to larger/fewer tiles. I thought that trying to maintain the tighter pattern would be a way to exercise my attention since it would provide visual feedback. At the same time, I would still try to think about the color green and imagine a wall of green in front of me. After doing a few sessions, another effect started happening. The grass would go turn more yellow and then kind of dim/gray, then it would start to glow white. This occurs in cycles. After about 10 minutes, it stops happening and I'm back to only the 'clone tool' effect. I guess there's some neurotransmitter that gets depleted at that point.

At our clinic since 1997 we have been using full neurofeedback training, which is not a wearable. We have found that HRV home training to be very helpful to our clients. We now ask clients at home to use the Heart Math Innerbalance, which can be used with the app inner balance on the phone, clipped to the ear. The feedback is the breathing pacer goes green when good HRV coherence is reached. Also the EMwave, with the thumb, has been around for 20 years. For golf you may find the old youtubes teaching EMwave HRV to medium golfers interesting. Lots of literature showing learning to go green (high coherence) and then using it when you go to hit the ball (there is an ear clip) leads to 20% improvements overall. Thank you for talking about the pulseto, didnt know it was around. As you will know they are looking into blocking injections into the stellate ganglion block. Seems to me stimulating this has promise.

As someone who is a very consistent and long term meditator I have a muse device and although I have thousands of hours meditating with the muse device it definitely isn’t very accurate with some of the deeper meditation experiences. The brainwaves science is fun and interesting but as you dive deeper into meditation the very act of trying to track it keeps my brain distracted haha 😆. The power of non attachment and letting go of the world in meditation definitely helps. I still use the headband for at least 30 minutes a day but I truly like no devices for real peace. I do think in terms of teaching people about triggers and anxiety and such it’s good to see what that looks like on paper but also definitely not necessary for healing and meditation.

In general the concept is not the best; It is rather expected that it will only be a reading of the neuronal frequencies, not inducing them... because: it is invasive, in the sense of starting the brain's ability to learn, for example, we plan to go towards deep meditation, theta waves, and through an element, vibrating when we move away from the purpose: this is how we truly train so that the BRAIN LEARNS to generate these states, when we do not have the element of neurofeedback vs. neurostimulation, which is desirable. With an ideal device like this, we would go, why not, to the state of ENLIGHTENMENT. The feedback referred to can be either visual, auditory or sensory, better yet: triple feedback! ✨🙂💭❗✅

Also, you are are a physician and you know that it’s only an electrical impulse delivered, to say there’s different settings to treat pain, head pain, anxiety, and sleep a.k.a. insomnia is Ludicrous because the device only gives one electrical current and the only other variable is time so it’s also false advertising with illegal claims, you are physician that is now promoting this device and it is not approved for any medical intervention or treatment. Not so great.I was a medical device national expert investigator for the FDAfor the last 22 years. There is a reason you have to prove effectiveness for any devices going to treat medical conditions.
