Yep, same problem with mine as well but a lot more than just the finger print not working. S-pen doesn't work properly, keyboard doesn't work right and games are also affected. frustrating to say the least. debating on trying other screen since I bought a 2 pack or go out a buy something else. never had this problem with whitestone glass in 8yrs using them on all my other Samsungs, just the S22ultra for some reason.

Hi! I already mounted Dome Glass on Note10+ 2 years ago and now on S22 Ultra, and every time I have a very annoying problem: light leaks at the edge of the glass. This glowing frame, right after putting the glass on, is usually broken in some places, slightly chipped or thickened. What am I doing wrong - washing off excess glue too much before curing or what? I am asking for advice.

First off this vid is super good, mad props. I will say tho, I tried to install this twice on my phone before any install videos like yours were out and it was a hellish nightmare, I followed instructions to a T still glue everywhere, maybe my third time I could get it right but one screen broke out the package. So I ended up with 40 bucks down the drain and bought a TPU protector. The company should legit pay you for this installation guide and post yours as the official video man. Needless to say, I'm sure the product works good that's if you can install it... Anyway, awesome video, but to anyone buying this protector just know it is tedious and if you don't wipe the glue properly it can ruin your phone buttons/ speaker. Oh and whites stone dome customer support is the worst i've ever dealt with.

Thanks for this, man! Great guide, way better than the silent one that whitestone did. One tip for people going through, it doesn't hurt to grab a level and check your table before your start. I had to start over because my table was really unlevel and the glue ended up rolling to the absorption pad on the side and I lost like half. Not the fault of the video, I just didn't realize how fast the liquid move.

Great video but WARNING!!! I created a trapped air bubble by tapping on the glue too much. The last drop from tapping created an air bubble so I had to start all over with the second screen protector after cleaning everything off the phone. On my second attempt I tapped lightly once. Removed the glue harness very carefully. The results are amazing. So, if you see an air bubble try popping it with a needle / toothpick before continuing. If that doesn't work paper towel the glue off, clean everything up and start again because if you commit dropping the glass on it hopping to push it out it does not work. Oh, one last thing make sure the table surface is very level it makes a big difference on how the glue settles. Mine was not level so I used a couple of credit cards to make the tray level on my table.

How long do you wait for the glue? I bought and returned them. The first screen got what I thought was a bubble under come to find out I was able to scratch the "glass" with my thumb nail. The 2nd one I did later that night and I think I didn't wait long enough. The liquid moved and covered everything but then it kept oozing out so I pulled it off

This glass is brittle. I know that because of the curved display, the integrity of the glass structure is vulnerable on the sides. However, I was trying to put on my case after installation and my nail pressed on the side with little to no pressure. It caused a chip that later turned into a triangle of the top layer glass breaking off. I have another glass, but I'm not so confident in this product anymore.

Man, this is an absolutely hellish process and I ended up with a tiny bubble speck where the glue is initially dropped. Also, can't stress your work station being level enough! The glue moves rapidly at the slightest tilt!

I did this for my Note9 and it was the best thing I ever did. Totally protected my screen and I had a clear case for the back. 4 years later when I turned it in I took off the glass, the phone was like new.

Everyones complaining about the process. But I have tried multiple different screen protectors for my Samsung with curved screens over the years and none of them would stay on the phone they consistently popped off especially if I had a case on it (even if it was case friendly). I bought the s22 ultra and a friend recommended the whitestone. This is by far the cleanest I have gotten a screen protector on a curved screen. Its not bummping up against the edge of my otterbox case so its not going to cause it to pop off. So far this is the best success I've had with a screen protector.

Just got my Ultra. I went screen protector-less with my S8+ and things went mostly fine over those years, but I'm not taking any chances with this one. Need to find a great case, too. Great video!! Literally followed this step by step and it's worked perfectly. Previously had a cheap one installed but the finger print reader never worked. The only thing I was recommended to do with the Whitestone protector was, after the first 15sec light bursts, press down on the fingerprint reader for a 5-10 seconds, then do the 60sec light bursts - seems to have guaranteed the fingerprint working better than ever.

After the protector is installed....I wouldn't wipe the entire glass with the alcohol wipes. U will be compromising the oleophobic coating to minimize finger prints. I would clean the sides where the glue may come out, and only use the microfiber on the screen itself.

Perfect installation, got my s22 ultra today and followed step by step. So happy with result but fingerprint now only picks up 2/10 times . Re-registered twice but no luck. Screen is so perfect I'm leaving it and using face recognition. Screen sensitivity turned on too 🤷🏿

I skip alcohol wipes and just use a normal microfiber towel.. no lint, and they clean glass off the best.

Tried the install all the glue went to the top n then to clean it up was a pain in the ass got pissed off lol n threw everything away n just went to best buy n paid to get a zagg installed n I just realized why I failed I didn't lower the glue to the circle I thought it was weird for it to be in the top but I saw the old ones were place in the middle n when I got this one it was on top instead o having the bridge in the middle so I thought thats how it was supposed to be uh oh well later on I do it need to catch up on my payments first

Great instruction video. I've been using Whitestone on my Samsungs for last 8yrs and never once had any problems with them. bit of a pain to install compared to other screen protectors but they always worked great and never had problems with them till now on my S22ultra. fingerprint will no longer work, won't even register on my phone in order to set a new one. also have found that the pen barely works as well. typing isn't right and games are even affected even with the sensitivity turned on. idk maybe something didn't properly work this time with curing or something so thinking about trying the other screen since it was cheaper to buy a 2 pack. hesitate to try other screen thinking I may end with same results but also tired of everything on a $1500 phone not working properly.

This is the second time I watched your video along with installing the screen protector. I'm a mechanic and my phone gets pretty abused but to both your credit in doing this video I had the confidence to do it again (with a little less anxiety) and although I've dropped my phone quite a few times this screen protector has really done it's job and not let a scratch onto the actual screen. Removal of the old screen protector was really easy too, just start peeling and it all comes off.

Got the S22 Ultra last week and had gotten a film type protector from a company i had gotten tempered glass protectors from before. Was okay, but not even a day and it had visible scratches and I was constantly pressing out air bubble along the edge. The whitestone was the number one recommended tempered glass protector so I went this route even though the idea of liquid adhesive made me nervous. I watched the silent one they did and then you're once through each before attempting the install. Watched the video on my old phone as I did it and the install went near perfect. Only hiccup was when the glue immediately started veering left even though i had checked the desk with a level before hand. Turns out the phone had gotten a little loose from the frame during cleaning. But quick reaction time had me tilting the phone in time to save the glue. :P But anyway. Video was wonderful and super helpful, and I was much more confident going into the installation process after watching it. So thank you very much. Also. That feeling when you go to put on the black protection stickers and realize that you never took the new phone film off the sides. 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you for this video. It was really clear and helpful! I ended up only having a couple issues, after following the instructions - I ended up with a tiny bubble where the glue initially deposited. I'm not sure how to prevent that from happening again... Also I had a LOT of glue leak out on all four sides of the protector and got all over the sides of my phone. Luckily the stickers were in place to protect everything, but it was still surprising.

I'm probably missing it but what is so great about this specific screen protector compared to a protector like Spigen?

Not many can do screen protectors for the curved display. Lots of them aren't full adhesion and only stick on the top and bottom.

Super helpful video! I just ordered a cheaper screen protector to get it here faster. Wish I had seen this video sooner though! What's your thoughts on the camera lens protector? I keep seeing recommendations for them but I thought if you keep a decent case on you wouldn't need it.

Thank you, watched your video and followed the steps one by one and it worked out. Using a flashlight will help with finding dust / and I used a credit card to get rid of the air bubbles before using uav light. Thank you for the help =)!!!

Fucking A dude..... Excellent tutorial / install guide! I love that you did this because Whitestone produces installation videos without any audio.... ONLY ENGLISH SUBTITLES / ON SCREEN COMMENTARY is provided throughout and I found this to be a huge potential pain point for me initially. By only offering an instructional install video with NO AUDIO COMMENTARY whatsoever, I immediately thought this could be a major drawback to this product for folks who learn best through processing auditory instructions rather that visual alone. Anyhow, Whitestone left me a bit baffled by their decision to make PURELY VISUAL INSTRUCTIONAL CONTENT, precisely because it means their customers are forced to keep their eyes glued to their laptop/PC, tablet or other mobile device [pun intended] in order to read & understand the incredibly verbose textual commentary (which is inconveniently displayed in an impossibly small font on smartphone btw), thus creating additional complexity & opportunity for failure by prohibiting user from paying thorough attention to detail & being mindful of the high degree of complexity with regard to the individual steps required to successfully complete this install. UV CURED LIQUID LOCA GLUE IS NO JOKE BECAUSE IT REQUIRES PRECISION & EXTREME ATTENTION TO DETAIL.... otherwise it becomes a total mess that can be permanently damaging to buttons, speakers & various ports on mobile devices. Whitestone's approach is a RECIPE FOR DISASTER! For this reason, I thank you profusely for tthe time and care you put into this very detailed and incredibly helpful tutorial and imho, Whitestone should contract with you for English-specific productions of their installation videos rather than cutting corners with the universal audio-less vids they provide! You might even reach out to them and send them an example of your work. Can't hurt to try.

Lol I definitely agree with you about trusting the gorilla glass version, doesn't matter what version it is, it's still glass and I will continue to use cases. I been wanting to use white dome for a while now but I'm incredibly clumsy and not quite smart enough to apply it 😅
