Any smart business minded person would know that, companies don't care what the FGC think about its players and who represents it. Its a reality show, its about what brings money and views to their business because we do know that the FGC alone doesn't help any of the companies make any money which is why Echo Fox is bleeding money right now. Esports for fighting games just isn't profitable compare to other gaming leagues. I can almost bet that haters and fans of LTG watched the show just to see how it would turn out. I don't let blind hate for a person stop me from giving a person credit for when its due. Lets be honest less people would have watched E-League if LTG wasn't on the show. His announcement caused drama and as a result put more eyes on E-league because everyone talked about it on youtube. Smart marketing strategy. As for his merch, hate the game and not the player. LTG is no different than an E-Thot. Everyone get mad at the E-Thot but ignore the fact that there are people who are willingly to give money to the E-Thot. If there's a market for it, then why not exploit it? I'm not defending the guy, I'm just calling it for what it is. Yes, he's an asshole but he's a smart one no matter how much you hate the guy. Everyone complains about the guy, and yet people pay money to see him act a fool on stream, he noticed it and now making capital off of it. That's what separate him from the average person who watches youtube. All of you make him relevant by making content off of him and the people who make channels using compilations of his work knows there is money to be made off of him. That's why LTG called his detractors clout chasers, everyone hates him but want to use him to gain a reputation or 15 seconds of fame. If everyone just ignore him he would fade away but nope none of you can't do that. Hate the game, not the player my friend. Pointing out the obvious or giving credit where its due doesn't make me a cocksucker of an individual. I just don't let my bias or a hate for a person stop me from seeing how a person can work the system and gain from it no matter how its executed.
