@VaSoapman billy mitchell has only lost the one high profile court case. He is probably going to lose to karl in the next couple months. But, otherwise billy's lawsuits are actually strategic since in america civil suits are very costly and often a jury verdict is not beneficial for either party. Billy weaponizes the legal system against smaller creators who cant sustain the costs of lawsuits. Thus forcing them to settle out of court (see twin galaxies and that one youtuber i forget his name). Effectively billy is able to use the threat of a sustained lawsuit because he actually follows through with it, everyone knows hes in the wrong, but knows that a long battle in the american court system to prove it would win them absolutely nothing other than tens of thousands of dollars down the drain.

@@magno172 Ah man Marvel drama was something else 😂 It was just straight beefing over skill or maybe some match colluding or stealing prize money at worst. RayRay vs Fanatiq, Fanatiq vs Joker, FChamp vs KBR, FChamp in general haha, Cloud vs Flux, Viscant vs LTG(it was SF but still same era), I think Neo was accused of stealing money from a backpack once. RayRay sleeping with Noel Brown's girl and Noel rocking his shit over it was the closest thing to this video but it wasnt all this weird awkward creepy shit. She cheated, the dudes threw hands, and everyone moved on pretty fast. Not to defend it but at the time it seemed like the audience loved it. It was toxic but you couldn't look away because it was kind of exciting. The shit you see now tho with Smash and the anime fighters is just creepy and weird tho. It's disturbing. No one wants to see this. These people probably wouldve legit gotten their ass beat in that old era of Marvel drama. Those guys were aggressive but it was mostly about the competition. Imagine if they found out people were sexually assaulting each other or messing with minors. One of the main Marvel locals in NYC is in the Bronx (Bum's House of Crack now known as House of Chaos). I know people from the Bronx. Some of my coworkers are from the Bronx. They're cool dudes but they do NOT play that shit. Ever since the FGC went e-sports they had to start censoring all that stuff and toning it down. Degeneracy is what they proudly used to call it iirc. When the FGC first started going e-sports there was a lot of criticism about that. A lot of people felt like it was ruining what made the FGC special and left over it. At the time we thought it was for the best but look what's taken over in it's place. Maybe they were a deterrent to these weirdos, because it seems like now that they're gone these people feel safe to get try and get away with this behavior.

Tempest was in the wrong, but it shows the lack of human interaction when people get made to feel uncomfortable and they feel the need to try to cancel someone or post a twitlonger when it is something that can be hashed out and moved beyond. I'm not defending Tempest or minimizing what happened to Claire because is clearly made her uncomfortable, but I see this stuff happen consistently with FGC people and it puts a bad name out there for real victims of assault.
