The Dalai Lama is totally open to science, and many other Buddhists are too. Not all of course. People who have meditated deeply, sometimes for many years, have experienced what seems to be the same epiphany that Dr. Faggin speaks of here. It is a deep mystical experience of total understanding, the experience of "oneness." Others have experienced strong mystical experiences while taking psychedelics like LSD or Psilocybin. I find these connections to be really fascinating.

Scientists are always trying to use quantitative methods to find or measure something that is purely qualitative. And when they cannot find it they say it doesn't exist. They claim that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence without realizing that the extraordinary is beyond measure.

Federica, I'm intrigued by 'quantum consciousness' and applying the concept of super-positioning to a non-physical phenomenon. I studied Maurice Merleau-Ponty on Phenomenalism for my degree. And thank you for putting links for further reading. Look forward to more of them. Best wishes, Steve

Thanks Prof. Federico Faggin, Is consciousness an epiphenomenon of the brain? NO! Consciousness exists independently of brain/body matter. Objective and repeatable experimental tests: I build images in the clouds or, varnish. - UE: Extracorporeal Exit = see through two objects, other, who is interested I say it face to face. This phenomenology could help us understand the role of consciousness, quantum physics. Behaviors of the subatomic world influenced by consciousness/mind, behaviors that would affect the world as we see it. Consciousness is not a visible object. We can observe the effect: physical and cognitive = building images in the clouds or, in the varnish, faces, spoons, cats, Pinocchios, etc. In the interactions between my consciousness and two objects = Passing the barrier between my eyes and the Target to be seen (see video). They show that I'm in two places at the same time. As? I own, we own two bodies. Another example: I staring at the sun to see a part of my second body hand(s) placed in front of right eye, left eye is uncovered by hand of flesh, is covered by second hand, built in 5 seconds so by protects the left eye from the sun's rays and to demonstrate the concreteness of the second hand/body. The phenomenology produced is objective, repeatable. Another example: the interaction between my mind and the others or, between the second bodies. (NDE without the near-death experience) All this non-ordinary phenomenology, unknown to me, I recorded. What is it for? These Test proving that the brain is not the seat of mind/consciousness. Consciousness is extended beyond brain/matter. The theories of the quantum physicist Prof. Federico Faggin help me to acquire the nature of consciousness on a scientific basis
