In a country of 23 million, there are only over 9000 americans. 2100 Canadians, 1553 French, 838 Ozzies and 313 Kiwis. I think the convenience store has more Kiwis for sale than number of actual Kiwis in Taiwan. The first time I ever met Linus, three years ago, he had this look of shock on his face that he actually got recognised in Taiwan. Now he sees me and just thinks *Oh no, not this guy again.* I'm kidding. Most western foreigners hang around Taipei and Kaohsiung, Other than that, there just aren't that many to support the numbers. I would argue most people in Taiwan are foreigners... Mainlanders who came over in the 40's or 50's, Taiwan is a cool place, been twice now people pretty friendly, plenty to see and do, not too pricey.. Hope you hop over to Okinawa as much as you can nice change of pace, cheap flights be a shame not to.. you can probably add Kyushu to that list too, you are a lucky man to be based there its pretty central to most Asian cities just a short cheap flight away.... I'm still burning about the Iphone Screen protector I bought in Guanghua Digital Plaza that the shop attached (but not well) which fell off just after I left Taiwan, of course it shattered as soon as it hit the ground..Damn you now I got a craving for Xiao Long Bao and Beef Noodle Soup.

What was the cost? Was there a documentation fee? How much was the Tax on each individual part? Or do they just charge you a flat fee for everything? Is it by weight? Does the year of manufacture matter for the taxes & tariffs? Are u better off bringing back certain pc parts rather than others? ✈️ thx 🙂

If you want a review about them, find review about the Cougar LX500 (almost exactly the same inside), Fractal Design Integra M (they using same platform, just different in rated power output) You can find the platform review on Google. I personally using a KRPW-SN600W/85+, which is a Seasonic-made (you know them, right?) with the famous GB Bronze platform, and they are great. The aesthetic is bad because they are all potato and ketchup wires, but they does the job very well.

Okay, dude, what _is it_ you spray on electronics to clean them. I've heard people mention brake cleaner, which is a solvent I can't fathom would be good for PCBs and other components, and others mention WD40 which as the name says is "Water Displacing", but it's also a penetrating oil which would at the very least leave a greasy residue on the board, and attract hella dust. Hard off for newer hardware is terrible, I stick to repairing junk and pre-2000s machines!, good to see you over here in Japan though! You should check out stores further away from major cities or stations as the closer you get to a major city/train network the higher the prices become, you're in effect paying a surcharge on the convenience of getting the item closer to home or a transport network. Additionally, the majority of people take things to sell on a Sunday so during sundays most hard off stores will have a bunch of baskets laid out in front of the main counters filled with stuff that they've hastilly priced to flip quickly, these prices are significantly lower and normally the good stuff will never make it to the store shelves before its purchased, if left till monday when things are slower, staff have a tendancy to do a better search on bigger ticket items before putting them on shelves, basically adding an additional markup. Hope this helps!

Looks like most new & old PC components are going up in price in Japan this has been happening for like 1-2 years now.
