Ted is a wonderful person, and I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging with him, as well as speaking on the phone. Humble guy, with the right attitude and brain for the business as it was in the territory days. Jim Cornette puts it best- "How can I miss you if you won't go away?" Ted needed a fresh start, he needed more NWA exposure (for the possible NWA World title run), and Mid-South needed a chance to push a different heel at the top to revitalize their product as well. It was very common to jump around territories, unless you were in the ownership circle. Duggan had wrestled for a bit before his Mid-South run- in Hawaii and Southwest, so he wasn't fresh off the football field, but was still green.

Dibiase was my favorite. Loved when he feuded w Grappler and Khan, hated when he turned on JYD...never saw him in GA as we were too poor for cable tv

Thank God Ted's rich uncle croaked and left him all that money back in 1987.
