I do play guitar and have functional eardrums. For comparison listen to the version of this track to the right entitled "LIVE 1976". from the Rockpalast. Ted's perfectly in sync with Derek during the solo and more restrained and tasteful. The band is tight and on fire. Given that the above performance is from a NAMM show for musical instrument retailers and Ted's probably just there 'cause Derek is in Paul Reed Smith's band...it still sounds like Ted's phonin' it in. Does that make sense?

@@79tazman You, sir, must be new. I’ve seen more of TN in the 70s than you ever could. It was a fucking real band when Derek was there. You think there ever existed that kind of whoever did whatever as individuals to make the sound perfect in the Allman Brothers or the Dead, or Panic or 4800 other killer bands on the circuit today? Dude...that was a band back then. See if Ted hadn’t been in charge on this gig, his guitar would have been reasonably mixed and the trapeze would be off the table. Doesn’t take away how much Ted rocked me. I had the Gonzo poster on my wall when I was a kid. Saw him a ridiculous amount of times many times front rows. That was back when you could amp out for tickets. I am from the Atlanta scene. My sincere wish is to run into Derek sometime when I’m playing there again. I would wash that guys car for all the musical Joy his vibration has brought on. Fan boy? Heh heh.
