There is hope we'll get a scenario like "The US outgrows the UK in the early 1900s (peacefully)" instead of, e.g., the turmoil when Germany became the powerhouse of Europe beginning with the late 1800s.

Anyone watching this I hope you appreciate the gravity of the messenger. Hans Rosling's tone, facts, and demeanor was/is that of an adviser to the world. He didn't have one slip of the tongue, or foot in the mouth, statement in his presentation. While the whole time he spoke in a manner as if to advise what the best course of action would be. Then he predicted (arbitrary date) that power and responsibility has already begun to shift. King making on video.

Manner is a relative term. I am an Indian living in Europe , I see many Europeans complaining about American tourists manners. If you ask me American tourists manners were better than Indians. However American manners are not enough for Europeans. That's why I said Manner is a relative term. It depends what you are comparing with.

since what i remember this was not what i was discussing (although it was a while back) i was discussing monopolies forming by themselves. There might be times that monopolies function better then competition i just find that most of the time it is the case because of already existing gov regulations. Phone company (at&t) use to be a monopoly formed by government and costumer service sucked and prices were higher then after it got resolved. Companies now use tricks to share networks.

Based on that fact, does not someone in Asia or Africa deserve to have the same rights and living standards as someone in the US or Europe? I think so, and I'm glad others feel the same way.
