Your personal brand is a reflection of you. • The value you provide. • The way you treat others. • The way you perceive the world. It's important to make sure you are in control rather than having others choose for you.

1. Figure out your goal 2. what do you want to be known for 3. know your audience 4. create a mission statement 5. create your personal brand online (Doesn't seem like 5 steps to me, since 1 and 2 are essentially identical and 5 is "prompt stealing") but 3 useful steps : - A. goal: what do you want to be known for - B. who is your audience - C. create a mission statement
@andyLS4

Thaks for your helpful summery. I'd say 1 & 2 are similar but essentially different. I'm in the creative industries - So my goal is to 1) find freelance retainer clients, and then 2, decifer what I want to be known for -which is either a branding guy, advertising guy, designer, or overall creative manager. I think an easier way of saying it would be, Figure out your goal, then define yourself to make that goal more achieveable. 5 is essentially Choose which platform best suits your audience and build your brand there. I don't know what you mean by "prompt stealing"
@japossert

@@andyLS4 Nice to read your reply! I learnt about prompt stealing as a concept from college essay writing: in this case the question is a variation of "how to create a personal brand" and the answer is also "create a personal brand", no new information has been added by the response...

Who you are is evolving every day. Take care of yourself by tending to the basics. Sleep, hydration, nutrition, movement, rest, breathing, and gratitude. Keep to these tiny steps, and over time, you will emerge with a tremendous body of wisdom. Your vista is expanding, not just here across the Fabulous landscape, but for who you are in the world.

The topic is very interesting how my reputation or how people perceive me is an important part of my personal brand. Answering the question "do you want yo be the one Who is driving and shaping the history or do you want chance or algorithms to be doing for you?" I want to do it myself, create a solid and completely own brand while having control of it because i know better than anyone what I want, where I want to go, what makes me unique from others and where i want to go with my brand. Thank you very much for this video that made me understand how important it is to show others who I am, leaving a good impression from the first conversation.

The video is pretty good at helping people build their personal brand so that you really have an impact on other people and the way they perceive you. My favorite part was when Ted helps us be more specific. Regarding making our resume, in this way your personal brand will improve in the eyes of both others and yourself.

I consider this video so relevant for our lives! Creating a personal brand is vital as it molds how people see you, both online and offline. Our personal brand is akin to our reputation, and it should be purposefully crafted, not left to chance or the whims of algorithms. The essential steps involve determining our purpose, specifying how we wish to be recognized professionally, spotlighting our unique qualities, zeroing in on our target audience, and setting up an online presence through a personal website and relevant social media platforms, all while delivering value to your followers. Besides, our personal website and social media afford us control over our online reputation, allowing us to display our personality and provide information into our life and career. When leveraging social media for personal branding, we have to opt for platforms aligned with goals, share meaningful content, actively engage with the audience, and consistently strive to offer value to others. By adhering to these steps, we actively shape others' perceptions of us and construct a robust and purposeful personal brand. Thak you for share with us this information!

I found the issue of personal digital branding interesting, I liked it because it is something that we do not take into account much, the 5 steps that we must follow are, identify your purpose and what do you want to do with it, make it clear that we are not just people with university degrees, to understand our qualities, have a specific audience to give the message, and without leaving behind the impact that social networks have to focus on them and use them to contribute to society. Finally, we must maintain good control of the social network because this is what allows other people around the world to get to know us.

I liked a lot your video, let me share a short summary I did: What is it: it is about reputation, how people percieve you, everyone have it. It is important that we control it even nowdays with social media. Understant what do you want to be recognized for. Be clear. Make mission statements. What is not: is not only self promotion Isabella RodriguezB Maria José TobariaH

It was a nice presentation but his ethos is off. A Personal Brand is not your social reputation. Your social reputation isnt something you can control with a nice profile, content or media. Look to politicians for the most extreme example. Many have horrible social reputations. However their personal brands, the thing they use to grow status and maintain their streams of revenue, are objectively immaculate and. Have a littany of accomplishemnts, professional references, media articles, etc. A Personal Brand is a tool that you use to grow streams of revenue. It is a caricature of parts of yourself. A personal brand is not a representation of you and your character, it is a character that can share your face. In past companies literally did this with cartoons as charaters, McDonalds created Ronald the clown, etc. A Personal brand is just one tool that can be used in the game of economics. It requires management, adaptability, strong communication skills and self-awareness so that you always remember who you are.

It's unfortunate that people are incentivized to think this way. Don't worry about what other people think about you, or try to construct an image or brand. Just be your authentic self. Don't listen to fools like this.
