It's refreshing to remember that there are classy sport touring cars being featured and not just ridiculously impractical spazzed out screamers doing highway pulls. Nowadays horsepower is easy, creating an iconic gentleman's conveyance that makes you want to put on a suit just to drive it is entirely another level.

"It somehow manages to be a supercar without making you look like an arsehole" , love it and it's so true. When you drive an Aston other drivers treat you with respect, they let you out at junctions and people engage you in conversations when its parked up. The entire ownership experience is truly something special.

My much loved Vanquish 2003 was incredible. I would drive it back and forth through the tunnel in Puerto Banus, what fun. The auto 'manual' box, much criticised was actually really fun too. Foot off gas like a manual but change gear with padle then accelerate. It meant you could get that double de clutch type popping you don't get from auto boxes.

I have always loved Astons. You summed it up mate - they work in the real world. Everyone falls for 0-60 times or 1/4 mile times but those are just numbers. live with, and drive a car, Aston makes a whole lot of sense when you really dig deep. long may they continue to build superb sports cars that can actually be used/driven/enjoyed on the road.

There are some really beautiful roads in the south west of England. You can enjoy them in a turbo diesel Vauxhall insignia as much as a beautiful Aston Martin V12. I live in Glendale, AZ now, but if you take the time to look at the roads there, especially in Wiltshire, you'll see people driving small Lotus cars, RR, Bentley, MGs etc. I really do have a soft spot for British cars. Oh gosh, you'd be fascinated if you ever visited.

I think by that time the styling, especially the headlights, had become over-embellished, I prefer the purer simpler lines of their cars of the 2000s. Same goes for the dashboard, it looks like something out of a Honda & were they still using that same flip up sat nav screen that was shared with Volvos even as late as that? Prefer the earlier dashboards from the 2000s. That V12 sounds epic though. Phil from the UK.
