My own feelings on this is that she widens whatever divide there is. She just points out some of the obvious issues and doesn't talk pro actively about ways of living as a community. I feel there are better spokespeople out there, Trisha Goddard comes across as a person that can listen, think and debate issues in a calmer manner and get her point over. Shola seems to fire people up in a way of anger.

Dr Shola I just wanted to say does it seem to you that on these interviews about racial issues, whenever you hit a strong point about the problems we face, most of the interviewers tend to want to skim over it or try to downplay your comment or change the subject or even end the interview in an incompleted way? It is exasperating! But I love💜 you for persisting! Your voice encourages me, your strength moves me, your pride makes me prouder! I wish you only God's blessings! Shola Mos-Shogbamimu's decision to leave Nigeria-a country rife with corruption, poverty, religious and tribal prejudices, and discrimination against LGBTQ+ communities-to champion activism in the UK raises questions about her integrity and priorities. Instead of using her platform and "activism skills" to tackle the deep-rooted injustices in her home country, where her voice could make a tangible difference, she has chosen to fight in a more stable nation like the UK. This selective activism suggests a focus on gaining fame and relevance in a Western context rather than addressing the urgent struggles of her own people, highlighting a disconnect between her professed values and actions.

The Indians have a colonial past too and many came here unskilled and with very little money. They study, do the right things and do don’t play the victim card, low crime and climb up the social ladder. We see doctors as quickly in 2nd gen. I'm happy for Dr Shola mos-Shogbamimu. Great talk but this where it ends. History has shown us that we repeat the same cycle. We are given the platform to condemn the behaviour but true change never occurs. It is in all their narratives from nursery rhymes to highest universal standards especially in storytelling. Hence the thinking never changes. Dr Shola mos-Shogbamimu will just be another season until the dust settles again. Don't hate the messenger.

She is damn on the money things I experience from these illiterate and lazy group of people. Hiding their racism in so called dyslexia . S/he should say oh am sorry I am dyslexia could you help me to pronounce it so next time I try to be better. But none of these groups bother to try. It's your responsibility to make sure the individual do not feel uncomfortable because their name is different. So please atleast try.

I have never understood this mentality, that when a person suffers some adverse circumstance through no fault of their own or something haha they cannot change, they should not speak of it and somehow it is their fault not the person(s) who put them in their unfortunate state. That mindset is just a way to convince victims to be ashamed and to not call out the perpetrators. This allows the perpetrators to victimize in perpetuity. The victim can make the best of their circumstances but if the perpetrators continue to opresss them they should take it quietly and be praised by others who are not suffering? That makes no sense.

@@Msboochie2 In 2020 are you honestly trying to claim there isn't equality of opportunity? There is. There has been for 20yrs. The only people still claiming the system is stacked against them are the inept, the lazy and types like Dianne Abbott. Skin colour predjudice is a weak card to play in this day and age, but the left lap it up. They love it. They perpetuate this myth of ineqaulity to keep themselves current. It's the easiest card to play when they aren't able to keep up mentally and commercially with their peers. It's pathetic, utterly pathetic.
