I was always by her side and supported her in her worst moments and she didnt value nothing i did for her... So i deserve someone better... I've spent 3 years trying to make friends in my community (I moved here about 3 years ago). I have been rejected by every person I'd hoped would become a friend. My last of about a dozen rejections came three weeks ago when my housemate (I live in a roominghouse) told me, "I could never be friends with you. You're too boring. I can't stand boring people.". This talk made me consider if any of these people would have made good friends if they had accepted me. Probably not. This could be an example of "Protection by rejection.". I now believe that God has much better friends waiting to meet me somewhere sometime. Thank you for suggesting that possibility.

I have cut off people bc I went through so much abuse and trauma…it was hard to trust and I had a borderline mom so it’s been hard to navigate human emotions, including my own. Hurt people hurt others. I am still a work in progress but with God, I feel like I can heal and move forward. I think when you love yourself and his, the right people come into your life! What did I learn today - bad things happen, bad people happen, God's children, but Satan has a field day with us sometimes. Rejection is something I ultimately have no control over, but if it's up to me to give them a nudge to overthink their entire act, then I serve, Halleluja. See, what I do have control over, is my own reaction.

Exactly what I needed to hear! It's still impossibly painful when family, particularly the parents, show rejection though. I finally flat out said "I'm done. No matter what I do, I will never be enough with you, so I will no longer prove my integrity to you" I've become the outcast of my entire family simply because I finally learned to set boundaries (it only took me 53 years). To this day I have no idea what I did to deserve this. I didn't drink, party, do drugs, nothing. My sisters did but they're the ones who are respected. I was the workaholic and the designated driver. What's wrong with this picture? It's beyond painful, but I'm okay because I have the love and respect of my #1 - my son, and my friends - even from my ex in-laws and I've been divorced 27 years!
