Sometimes we need to push ourselves. I'm autistic and very introverted. I realized early on that I needed to force myself to do uncomfortable things so I don't let my issues control me. I took speech classes in junior high, high school and college. I hated it but I forced myself to do it to grow. I volunteer for speaking opportunities at work even though it makes me nervous. The feeling of pride in myself after I give a presentation is wonderful. Dr. Justin is right. We all have a message to share.

Dr. Justin Mosley' lecture about the fear of public speaking was relatable. Firstly, he reiterated that we all have something unique to say that other people will learn from immensely. This realization gives us the righting power to see our experiences as valuable. Mosley also emphasizes the need for us to turn the spotlight away from ourselves and to our audience in building some sense of purpose into sharing ourselves. He talks about how the body reacts similarly with fear and excitement. It helps him justify how we should reframe fear as energy rather than a block. Through personal stories, he shows that overcoming those fears creates a big positive change in other people's lives, which reinforces the ripple effect of sharing our stories. Finally, his closing message to find our voices reminds us that even the smallest of contributions can have far-reaching effects.

1. Everyone has a message to share - even yourself - you have experience and lessons learned which others might need to learn - so you are there to share your message to the world, that's it 2. Sharing your message is not about you but others - so don't focus on yourself but only to serve others 3. You have the same physiological symptoms when you're excited and nervous - make fear your friend and tell yourself that you're excited
