The US fishing industry is already heavily regulated.

It may say dolphin safe or sustainably sourced but no one can really know that's true. The fishing companies know it sells for more money so what's to keep them from lying.

Hoping that one day more people consider going vegan and letting wildlife be. It's not just good for the planet either.

I respect somoene being vegan but I think its too hard for me to consider going vegan let alone being a vegan considering how i still like animal based food despite its mediocre impacts on the planet.

Super interesting and it's great work you're doing. However, whenever we talk about a problem with the political approach ("our governments...") then we're limiting the message to the people that actually live under the same, let's say "type" of government as you... So the message loses power on a global scale. What can I do as a consumer to support the protection of our ecosystem, if I live in a country in crisis, where restaurants literally serve what they can, and there are no regulations whatsoever over fishing practices, etc, because the system is totally corrupted? It's the case of many countries in LatAm or Asia for example... So, it's a very important work you're doing and thank you for that, but also based on your experience you can maybe try to look at the bigger picture and give a message that is going to be as powerful globally, in the end, that's what platforms like TEDx are a great opportunity for. Cheers and all the success!
