That's pretty awesome. I kinda wish they would add the BLE Midi stuff to the OB-4, I have read it has MIDI in there. Would be fun to control looping remotely, though the ortho remote handles pitch control and transport very well.

really enjoyed seeing this video! i was wondering, have you played around with the update much without any other external controller? would also be cool to try and use midi from the tx-6 sequencer to play the loop points on the tp-7....

I haven’t tried any other controllers yet. I think next I’ll use Ableton to get finer control and record things as I go. I have been thinking about adding TX6 but I still haven’t learned all of the multitracking and editing functions on TP7 yet. Have you tried using TX6?

@@PBgeoffrey i've never used midi with my tx-6 before. i generally don't involve other controllers or a laptop into my workflow. but will for sure see what the tx-6 can do combined with the tp-7!

Did you figure out config to just make transport and midi sync work with TP as master or slave?

When I set MIDI config to SYNC, TP-7 followed the OXI's transport controls. I don't know how to do that the other way around

that'd be a nice feature. i was hoping to be able to make endless loops and maybe even tape delays with endless looping and cueing. it's really turning out just to be a field recorder that I don't want to take into the field 😅

@@kitespongan my phone was 500 bucks and is capable of an incredible amount of things.. even for the the camera it's worth the price. This thing on the other hand is a little toy that can do like 5 different tasks that you could do with very cheap devices..
