Great video thank you for sharing. Yes, things correct. I’m so glad you mention seesaw floss to insert only then up and down to clean. I keep telling my dentist this over and over, and she continues to snap the floss in snapping into my gums. Very very painful.

This video definitely helped!!!! I'm 15 and wear braces, and I like the part about accidentally cutting the interdental papilla! I can honestly tell you that I've done it several times, and it's terrible, but now I'm getting in the habit of being careful around that area and cleaning carefully. I really love medical, and dental facts!!!❤ I'm trying to figure out if I want to be a nurse or a hygienist! I love both careers it's just hard to decide!!!!

Brushing teeth twice a day seems so basic. I can’t imagine many adults refusing to do this regularly.
@greenkitty82
@greenkitty82 3 күн бұрын
@@DELLRS2012 I think the reason is because everyone is so busy 24/7 taking time to self care with things like their oral health seems to be something people drop which I just could not do as it's almost therapeutic to clean your teeth and you have that nice clean feeling afterwards which in turn helps your mood and how you show up in the world. You'd be surprised how often I've been told that many adults don't clean their teeth twice a day but I think once a habit becomes familiar and set, it's easy to do each day. And also it's just not worth the hassle of having to have dental work done from lack of cleaning!

Sorry to hear you are feeling like you can't give yourself the love and self care you deserve. My advice is on the days you don't feel you can brush is there anything you can do that can remotely improve your teeth health that day like can you just use mouthwash or just floss or use a Waterflosser? Or even chewing xylitol gum to help? I really hope you can get yourself to a better place mentally and know that everyone in the world, yourself included deserves the best health and smile. Believe you are worth taking care of! 🙂

Depression protip: wash your teeth in the morning and later during the day before you get too tired. Don't drink anything too acidic or sweet and it'll help a lot. Water or milk is best. Sorry you're struggling, hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for sharing tour knowledge about oral higiene! I really love your channel. Is it okay to brush your teeth for longer than 2 minutes? I’m using sonic brush using sweep method and do it for about 5 to 6 minutes to feel like they’re cleaned and smooth but I’m not really sure if that’s okay. Would love to hear your opiniom about it. And btw your teeth are GORGEUS!

thank you so much for being here and commenting kind! my best advice is to confirm with your individual dental provider to make sure you're not brushing too hard! but usually with my patients, I'm all for them brushing a little longer than 2 minutes as long as they are not harming their gums by pressing too hard. hope this helps!

@@TeethTalk Thank you for answering :)! In the past I've had problems with gum bleeding. I used to wake up with taste of blood in my mouth which was horrible and after looking up for solution I decided to buy water floss and use it daily in the morning after i drink my cofee, after a while my problem was gone and my dental professional told me that they look way better (I do checkouts twice a year). About brusing I only touch really gently at 45 angle using swiping method. I would like to again you for your great content, I learned alot because of you and sorry for any grammar mistakes but english is not native language haha.

if you like it -- and it has anti-cavity benefits (such as fluoride, which most A&H toothpaste does) then I'm all for it! always use the toothpaste you LIKE, because then you're more likely to brush for the full 2 minutes :) :)

“The United States District Court for the Northern District of California ruled that fluoridation at 0.7 mg/L - the level endorsed by the EPA - presents an unreasonable risk of reduced IQ in children. This finding is based on robust scientific evidence, including a review by the US Government’s National Toxicology Program, which identified a clear link between fluoride exposure and neurodevelopmental harm.”
@TeethTalk
@TeethTalk 2 күн бұрын
It's true that fluoride in water can spark debate, especially when it comes to public health policies. However, it's important to look closely at the broader scientific consensus. While concerns about fluoride and neurodevelopmental health have been raised, including in court cases, public health decisions regarding fluoridation are based on decades of research that show it’s safe and effective at levels like 0.7 mg/L. Politics and legal rulings often bring varying opinions, but scientific research continues to support the benefits of fluoride in preventing tooth decay. Ultimately, it's always a good idea to discuss any concerns with your dental provider to ensure you're making the best choices for your dental health.

How about the colgate charcoal it can damge it too?
@TeethTalk
@TeethTalk 9 сағат бұрын
most of the big named brands don't actually include charcoal -- they either dye it black (and it has no charcoal at all) or they use a very small amount of charcoal powder which isn't as abrasive. always check the ingredients to know for sure :) hope this helps!
