i think this is just one of those award shows that dont let audience laughter (and other general sounds) get through into the video audio. im not sure if its about the microphones or if its post recording editing, but this isnt the 1st award show video i saw where the monologue seems to be bombing because you cant hear audience response, but the audience is indeed laughing (i guess its a way to filter audience chatter, but they do go overboard with it sometimes)

@user-dj7rm5kz6g6 жыл бұрын
It's not so much that they don't get them, it's just that he's telling them in front of a room of jaded performers and comedians; comedians are always the toughest audiences. But I feel you, especially since Andy's so charismatic.

A lot of it is going over my head. I'm assuming it's 'cause I'm not from the US, though. Still super funny, and I love listening to the laughters slipping out from those in the audience who get the jokes. Dunno why so many are claiming he's bombing; it's an awards show, not a comedy show. I.e. they were likely filtering out a lot of the noise coming from audience.

Most beautiful actors and people aren't really smart enough for Andy's kind of humor. Most beautiful people get by on their looks, so they don't need to develop their minds. It's rare when someone's good looking as well as smart and talented. Those are the great ones. Brando, Poitier, DeNiro, Pacino, Day Lewis, Bale, Hamm, Theron, Adams, Wiig, Fey, Poehler, etc. These people are standouts in a huge crowd. Plus American Awards shows are so uptight. Everyone's gotta look perfect. No one wants to make the show or the studio look bad. There's too much Money involved.
@tomshea83822 жыл бұрын
@@CUStudioFilms That's a cheap shot. Good looking =/= stupid. A lot of these people aren't laughing because they're just nervous. The awards shows, while they mean squat to the real world, have an actual economic effect on the people who get nominated and win them.
