RANDOM THOUGHT- How incredibly blessed are we that we are able to openly practice and even openly discuss and better yet brainstorm and learn with fellow witches? Just felt so much energy in this video and want to publicly give thanks to every witch who has came before me and were denied these privileges. I love this. ❤❤❤ I see you lifting other witches up Olivia. It's beautiful.

The only problem is when you are young and your parents are religious
@lizloukiss4 жыл бұрын
@@sadkidfromacrossyourstreet7162 hang in there. I was a teenager in the late 90’s and experienced this as well. I know it’s SO hard. 💔 My parents are fundamentalist Christians and I had to hide my practice, my tools, and any research books from my parents. We had really crappy internet then and no KZbin. But I know a lot of things are a lot harder for you too, because parents are even more controlling and can monitor your social media and online phone activity. I’m so sorry you’re going through this too. You are not alone and you are no less a witch, because your parents prevent you from being you who want to be right now. Please continue to follow your heart and spirit and know there will come a time when you can practice for yourself, freely. It might take time... I’m a grown woman now with my own children and I’m raising them in the craft and allowing them to make their own spiritual decisions while learning. You are so brave and inspiring to be pursuing the craft, and in any capacity you can. Use this time to get to know your shadow and journal if possible, and work on your intuitive, intention, and manifestation skills. Remember the most important thing about witchcraft... YOU are the magickal element of any spell work. Keeping reaching out whenever you can safely, and witches in this community will help you. Sending you my love and protection. Keep moving forward and learn what you can about the magick inside of you, and know one day you will be able to practice your craft freely without control from your parents. 🖤✨🕯🗝

We need to make the "level up spell" a thing! I did something similar to a girl I worked with in retail many years ago. She was a pain in the ass shrew. BUT that was my concept of her and I've always thought, if I don't like a person that's a me problem not a them problem. So I made a bracelet and focused it towards her finding a new, better job. I wore it to work every day and since we worked side by side it worked as an intention amplifier. She ended up with an office job and a pay raise. I ended up with a more peaceful work place.

I was 8 when i began practicing. This was in the 80's. I might say 1987. I began this journey long before charmed and so began practicing a raw and natural form of the practice untouched by reality t.v. of any kind. The fear of being persecuted was real in the small town I grew up in. The fact that I walked around the block with 5 cats following me in a straight line did not help at all and, in fact someone walked out of their house and even asked me one day, "are you a witch?".

I absolutely love the idea of blessing someone to solve your problem, instead of banishing or hexing! I don't do baneful magic (I'm fine with anyone who wants to) but it didn't occur to me you don't have to just ignore it and abstain, but find a positive way to solve the same problem. I'm very much in favor of, you don't know a person's life, they might need something, a blessing, in order to work thru the thing that's making them awful, and that adding more negativity to that situation might be worse, cause harm to someone else etc. I must read this Teish book! I enjoyed this so much, thank you as always for introducing wonderful people to follow and learn from!

I'm a practitioner really new to the Craft and Aly's story of how she got into it really mirrors my current situation. Like, my church and community is fun and all, but the teachings don't align with how I feel people should be able to live. There's tons more similarities as well :D When I started digging into paganism and witchcraft I felt a lot more connected with that and I feel a lot better living the way I am happiest. My daughter who is now 15 has been very earth rooted for a few years now, and has just naturally gravitated towards witchcraft. I always try to be very accepting and guide her to grow into her own self awareness no matter what she's been into over the years. I grew up in a very religious Christian home, but as an adult, have strayed away because it just does not resonate with me logically knowing the background and history of Christianity as a whole. I am happy to say that thanks to my daughter, we are now both learning more and more everyday and are very much connecting to practicing the craft together. I took her to her first metaphysical shop for her birthday this weekend and am so happy we can do this together! I am hoping we can find a local coven to connect and socialize with in our area soon to really learn and grow more.

You know? Years ago, I came to a realization. My girlfriend's ex husband was a horrible, miserable guy who has done some things that were downright evil. I'm sure that at some point, I thought that the world would be better off without him, but I realized that there is a better way. He is miserable and he wanted to make my girlfriend and her children and probably even me miserable too. He was not happy if someone was having a parade that he couldn't rain on. I changed my way of thinking this realization. The solution is for him to be happy enough that he no longer feels the need to make everyone else miserable. This is the cure for miserable people is to wish them well and hope that they can be happy without having to make everyone else miserable.

I love this. Her explanation about herself realizing those things about church as a young child hits home. I remember being around the same age when I started realizing the hypocrisy of it all. That isn't to bash anyone's religion. It isn't my place to do that. But I realized that the people in my town who attended church regularly were horribly hypocritical. Around the same time, my sister started collecting witchcraft books (what few there were in the 90s). Now, for my sister, it was a phase that she quickly outgrew. But, for myself, I read her books and it resonated so strongly with me. I didn't begin practicing until around three years ago, but since stepping out of the "broom closet", I feel like I can finally be my true self without hiding it and that made it easier to start my journey. Anyway, sorry for the long-winded comment, but I love this particular video.

There is a study on plant conciousness. It was done on cabbages. They hooked electrodes to read the energy of the cabbages. They put them beside each other and hooked the electrodes to the one NOT being copped up. The other cabbage stressed out. Then they lined people up and paraded them into the room with the cabbage that was left. It freaked out when the man who chopped the other I entered the room!!! Sabrina the Teenage Witch was my Charmed! :D I completely relate with Aly! I've been working up the courage to tell my parents that I'm a pagan. Mostly because I need to be authentic and true to myself. My very religious family is very insistent about everyone (including guests) present participating in whatever religious activity they have going on (be it church, praying during Christmas, etc.). They take not wanting to take part as laziness or just being unsociable. I have nothing against catholic religion and I actually enjoy some of the stories and values, but I've known for a long time that it's not my thing. I don't connect with it like I see the rest of my family do and I felt like a fake.

12 and 13, wow! I was about 16. I'd heard of paganism since I was a kid but I was never made aware of how many people still practice paganism today, I believed it was just an old religion that had died out, as every time I heard about it it was mentioned in historical context. I'm now 18 and a very proud pagan witch :) I'm still so new to it all in the grand scheme of things, but I have learnt more than I ever imagined in that time!

I don’t really talk to my plant’s, except when I plant them, then we have a whole discussion about their new home, but I sing to them. I sing them lullabies at night when I water them and clean their leaves. And I make them pretty little topiary tables that i wood burn and oil paint for them to sit on.

I really appreciate these subtitled Olivia! I consider myself pretty fluent in english but sometimes american english speakers speak so fast I can't understand what's going on. these subtitles really help!

I have been questioning Christianity since I was like 5-6. I always thought they were fairy tales and they didn’t make sense to me. In 6th grade, witchcraft was introduced to me by a friend and I was immediately interested. I was a natural and had a really easy time with it. Then, I spooked myself and stopped for a year. Then I picked it back up and I’ve been a happy Pagan witch ever since!
