Outside of not caring much for bacon or eating meats other than beef (ground) & chicken thighs, I cannot believe how similar I am to her routine; not wanting to spend much time in the kitchen cooking, not going out to eat much & being a homebody... just wow lol So many times you see what others do & feel like you're doing a poor job with variety & it just doesn't matter - it's about what we enjoy personally. Eat what YOU like & enjoy it.

@@butterflychaser4538 YES! My best friend keeps asking me to inspire her with what I'm eating - she knows my digestion problem & that I went carniv. (now meatbased) & only eat 2-4 things.🤷🏼‍♀ then she shares what she ate & it's always SPECTACULAR with variety & international flavors.. I just get so exasperated but even before my digestion went down I was always plain & stuck to just a few favorite items - like a big dinner salad with cubed chkn& grapes or mandarin oranges 5x's a week(seedoils probably ruined my biome!) or rotisserie chkn & veggie.

Lordy, girl…I feel your pain😂 I’ve lost 80 lbs on keto and ppl constantly ask me about what I eat! I’m not strict keto anymore, but I know what I can and can’t eat in order to maintain my weight. I did the elimination diet in the beginning, I also wore a continuous glucose monitor. I also worked specifically on gut health. I retired 2 yrs ago and had all the time in the world to put myself first and work on my health, it was definitely a LOT of work, but I’m worth it, right?😊 it’s a lifestyle now, emphasis on “Life” and it’s a huge commitment. I learned that I can’t eat sugar or starchy foods because they’re like a drug for me, it’ll derail me for days and makes me feel like crap. My husband can have that occasional piece of birthday cake and then just carry on as usual. Not me! This is why elimination diets are so important, you have to find your triggers.

I love to hear what foods you eat and how they’re prepared because it gives me ideas for myself. I also eat plainly. I too am admittedly lazy and though I don’t mind cooking, the clean up kills me (I clean as I go so it’s not too bad) Over the years through an accidental elimination (not planned) diet, I’ve realized some foods that don’t do me well. Cheese & Pork. Thank you for all you & Dr Berry do for us. ❤

Great, great video Neisha! EVERYONE IS different and some of us (me) have A LOT of work to do to figure out what will work for us. Strict carnivore simply would not digest for me. I had to figure out what smart carbs would work with the protein in my intestines to allow proper elimination. Once you figure out the right balance, you’ll never feel better.

Wepa, Neisha! I hear you about the Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 food, my greatest weakness. I try to limit to holidays, though, since I'm the abuelita in the family. I recently was diagnosed as possibly having CSID, pending further testing, so I'm carnivore right now until my body can heal. It's definitely a process trying to figure out what our bodies can tolerate. Thank you so much for the insights!

Neisha, this is the best you've looked ever -- no big hair or too much makeup, you look youthful and natural and very healthy. The simpler the better! Maybe YOU can answer my question that no one else seems to: Can one actually gain weight on Carnivore? Believe it or not, not everyone wants to or needs to lose weight - I'm trying to gain some to fill out my scrawny arms and not look so weak, and if I drop all carbs won't that cause weight loss? I'll never be totally all carnivore like your husband and need to eat pretty low fiber -- maybe some sourdough bread/noodles/rice and fruit added along with dairy and eggs? Please advise, thanks!

Hi from Alaska! My dad lives in TN so I visit TN occasionally. Y’all have the best catfish and BBQ! But you don’t have giant mountains or snow so I still live in my birth state lol. I’m about 2 weeks into an animal based diet. I’ve mainly watched Steak and Butter Gal and Paul Saladino. So I’m still eating fruits and a few root vegetables at the moment. But mostly meat and dairy diet. I drink coffee and water. I’ve noticed better stable energy levels. I used to eat lots of rice and oatmeal and I had to eat a lot of food. Now I have some cheese and meat for dinner or a bunch of scrambled eggs and I’m not even particularly hungry for breakfast. I would previously have to eat my last meal at like midnight and I’d wake up 6-8 hours later STARVING. So far I’m loving it. I have an induction cook top that I can control temperature in 10° increments. So I use butter and cook everything at a low temp. Also use a toaster oven for meatloaf.

Great video, and awesome advice! We all gotta do the work! If I just followed someone else's plan and it didn't work, I would blame them instead of taking responsibility for my own health and welllness. Too easy to be a victim that way! I did elimination because my right knee was killing me, my right shoulder was hurting during workouts, and my right thigh had this consistent dull ache. I was strict ketovore for 150 days. 30 days ago I gave up all dairy (except butter and ghee) and all my pains went away once I gave up the dairy! That's my trigger for pain. I'm going to stick with BBBE for a bit longer. I may add a veg eventually but I feel so darn good i'm in no rush.

Hello Neisha, enjoyed watching your video and helpful tips, I’m 78 and have had a fairly good diet all my life low card no sugar but recently have had some arthritis in hand knees etc so searched for some answers found you very friendly and down to earth and your charming husband both easy watching. I’ve been experimenting with foods and eliminating some etc. all good my eyebrows which were very thin started growing back eyelashes longer and the list goes on lost some weight although that was not what the reason I started. The main problem I have is how much fat to eat, the meat in England is trimmed of fat. So I bought fat from butcher and add it that way!,, you mentioned cooking fish if you wrap salmon or any fish really, chicken breast in tin foil add lump butter wrap up loosely but secure in the air fryer for minutes, delicious ! ! Take care, love Jennifer xx

I watched your first video in this series and now this one, and I really appreciate you breaking this down. I would consider myself a methodically minded, reflective and diligent person. And despite this, I hadn’t figured out a method of going about this for myself. I look forward to your next video and learning about the specifics around an elimination diet. I have some odd intolerances, such as chocolate (not an anaphylaxis reaction, but my throat does swell up), coffee, tea, so many fruits and vegetables cause me issues, beans/lentils (I ditched them a long time ago) and sugar, that causes some issues too. I basically only eat meat, eggs, dairy, some fruits and vegetables and sourdough baking I have made myself. However, my diet isn’t cutting it, I’m still having problems, I need to double down on a 3 month elimination diet.

I agree with you about cooking your own food. Ordering Carnivore/or Keto is very disappointing at restaurants. My husband and I have been keto/ketovore for 2 years. We thought we would miss certain foods (baked goods/wine/dairy) but surprising how satisfying (and satiating) it is to eat majority of protein as beef (steaks, hamburger, ribs, roasts) and eggs. I healed a lot of gut issues and no longer have any stomach pain!🤩

We only eat fish now and again also. I love sheep's cheese. Our grocery store has an insane cheese section. Though being in wisconsin, we have stores dedicated to cheese and a castle. I am starting bbbe ish after my vacation, we do pork now again and fish now and again. And I'm not ready to give up our date day at the coffee shop. I'm a bit nervous. Any challenges starting soon? Just had some slow cooked ground beef with keto gravy, and couple fried eggs. Ooof, that was hard work in the heat! I had to take a break halfway through - but had to finish it otherwise hungry in the night! Eating can be such hard work, lol. 😂

Had a friend that wanted to know what i ate and i would tell them you need to start with elimation diet and go from their because what works for me may not work for you they would get so mad at me. I like what you said this is a process and yes it is on going.😊

My best friend told me once “Oh I did that three years ago. If I want to feel human (yep-her words) and enjoy myself (nervous laughter) then I know that I’m going to be sipping on 7Up and eating toast the next couple of days.”…WHAT???? 🤨🤯

True statement: Anything you consume in your body…ANYTHING…is specifically going to be different from anyone else…you are unique, so why try to be like someone else… there is no magic pill…there is no magic answer…it’s an individual journey that you must follow on your own…period

I feel your pain, I live in rural Mississippi and our only options are Walmart and Kroger. I refuse to drive to Jackson because the choices aren't much better. I do miss rice but then I'm half Colombian. I haven't had it in three years now.

My thing with fruit is I’m ok without it but we have apple and pear trees. So when those apples and pears are ripe I will add them in for that season. But not too much. Apples tend to cause my stomach to be upset if I eat too much.

Yall should get an Aquafizz. It’s great. We dont use any flavoring but the fizz makes it so refreshing. After investment for the machine, using the canisters ends up costing about 1/2 of storebought fizzy water like Pellegeino.

I so wish I could moderate wine like you. Used to love Chardonnay. One leads to 2 to more then every day. Have enjoyed listening to your eating enjoyment. I have savoury tastes too. 👋🏻🇦🇺

I understand. I have to be careful with raw tomatoes. I can have them cooked, but if I have too much raw tomato, my taste buds pop out. (Ouch!)

We have Walmart and Aldi locally but I live by Rockford and DeKalb IL which are both within about 30 min but we rarely go even that far for groceries. We have local farmers we buy beef from on the regular but for fill in beef that maybe we forgot to lay something out or something is on clearance we just buy Walmart beef. It’s funny because I almost exclusively use iceberg. 😂. I love it just plain with salt. It helps fill me up and I just love it. People think I’m weird. I also do candied jalepeno. Yes the juices have sugar but I eat a few slices with my meat for that zest and it helps keep me on track.

How about eating Sardines? At home? I've just started eating them -- either out of the can (on a pork rind) or made into a "fish salad" with mayo or sour cream, egg, pickle, etc. So good for you, so satiating.
