The foreshadowing of this whole scenery is what made me fall in love with this whole movie .. Them waiting for Ruffin and being frustrated , Eddie having hope he comes. Eddie opens up the show with the song “get ready” welcoming the crowd while Ruffin approach ; welcoming him! Then Ruffin sings “I’m losing you” with the tension in the air of his fellow members , knowing his egocentric energy is effecting the group, they’re losing sight of him all in one. He’s actually drifting away from the group at this very last minute. This was his last straw. Man I love this movie and scene!

Estrella Chocolaté On one hand, this mini-series is what turned me into a HUGE Temptations fan. On the other hand, having delved more into the history of the group, I’m disappointed at how much Otis and the producers decided to portray the other members and how much they twisted the facts. I hope one day for a TRUE biopic about this amazing group. I still enjoy this movie, especially the musical performances. I just no longer take the story at face value. David, Paul, Melvin and Eddie deserve better.
