In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we return to Thailand from Malaysia and get straight into the list of boat jobs needed to complete before we can continue on our journey. Thailand is a great place to complete tasks as there are many options to find boat supplies. Whilst we were cruising in Indonesia, Yosh made a boo boo and accidentally put a hole in the tender. After patching it up himself, the continual leak has been driving us crazy so we take it to the professionals to fix. Whilst there, we get some added protection for our RIB. Its tender love day, because dinghies need loving too!

With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off from Australia sailing to the Pacific! We have since cruised through New Caledonia, Vanuatu, the Solomon islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and then onto the boat yard in Malaysia to prepare for the years to come. With a new engine, we continued onto Thailand, then back down into Indonesia and specifically West Sumatra to live the island life and chase the surf. With our Sailing plans changing, we have returned to Thailand to wait for the weather and begin our journey to the northern route of the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka before heading south to Chagos and across the Indian Ocean once cyclone season has finished and the trade winds begin! The adventure is just beginning as we plan to sail our Nandji girl around the world!!
We departed the east coast of Australia in July 2017 and have since sailed over 10000nm offshore. We have explored some amazing countries and met some beautiful people along the way. We have experienced so many different and diverse cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our lives doing it! The adventure is just beginning as we sail West with the trades around the World!

Great episode. Hope the cover wasn't too expensive. Cruising life seems to involve a LOT of maintenance; but, with Bonita around, who cares about minor annoyances. The men in your audience must just relish every shot of her. What a sense of style when she ventures out to walk the land. Totally feminine but strong enough to launch your dinghy. No euphemism intended BTW.

It always surprises me how many folks don't fit chaps to their inflatables. The UV is a killer on non hyperlon materials. Those fitted covers fit perfectly, how much were they ?

Yah Flubber, she'll bounce you all over the place. But its better than a kick in the pants. Sometimes the company has a special solvent and glue and uses exact material. It good to get set up for that, say N Octopus lances you in the Indian, or a Sword Fish, you gotta be ready ha ha .
