Great video with up to date info. I'm 7 months into a forearm tendonopathy issue that's means I can no longer play guitar comfortably or for any length of time (my passion). This video has caused me to question the diet and medications I've been on whilst trying to heal.

I'm in the same deal except as a percussionist (who messes around on guitar, can confirm it doesn't help), it's been around 18 months and cycles of pain and recovery that never really seem to go away. Ive been in and out of physical therapy, being dismissed twice (for tendonitis, which I suspect now is tendonosis) and yet the issue still presides. Is there anything that has helped you in the quest for recovery that would be potentially useful for me? What is the best thing you've done to help yourself progress in your tendonopathy? Thank you 👍

@@jonrattenborg1907 Don't lose the faith, it will heal, the body will find a way. My advise, try and go for a very long period with a complete lifestyle change. Just forget musicianship for months, possibly longer than you even think necessary. I basically had 10 months out. It worked.

Thanks for making this. I have not been able to run for the past 4 months due to patellar tendon issues. The recovery is frustratingly slow, and it's hard to find the right balance of activity and load, but not doing too much. Looking forward to the next video!

I have RA and was on methotrexate for about two years (until i could no longer tolerate it) and now, about a year later, I have been diagnosed with tendinosis in several joints. could these be connected?

Oh my god. You are the first person to ever make sense to me regarding this. I’ve had “tendonisis” for about 7 months now. Started with wearing shoes that were too tight, exercising too vigorously, lifting weights twice my own size and now my mobility is basically limited LOL. Oh and I also have a thyroid disorder to throw on top of it all. So in a way, it was kind of like the perfect storm. I have constant pain all around the outer border of both my feet. If there is any way I can get in contact with you I would love to, because I’ve exhausted all my options and you’re the only one making sense at this point.

Hello Doctor, for someone that has developed an achilles tendinosis post levaquin in both achilles tendons, how long should one wait before PT or eccentric workouts? If at all?
@drbeaubeard3 жыл бұрын
No wait need, just strategic progress forward.

I had an ultrasound that showed severe Achilles Tendonitis in both of my legs. I have no inflammation but I do have pain especially at my heals. So even in this scenario you would still recommend PT treatment with no wait period? I am eager to get started and fight through the pain I just don’t want cause further damage. Thank you again for responding and your videos. I will subscribe to your channel.

@@fouadomar4288 It's impossible to not have inflammation and have tendonITIS. Itis means inflammation, if there is no inflammation it's either tendinosis or reactive tendinopathy. I am not your physician so I cannot give you medical advice. Best of luck.

I assume the radiologist looking at the images perhaps misdiagnosed this as a Tendonitis, or perhaps maybe a Tendonitis and tendinosis look the same under ultra sound? I’ve never been evaluated by the doctor in person it was one of those independent imaging labs. So I’m Not sure. Thanks for your response

I have low T3 and just started to take liothyronine. Although my tendon problem started 3 months before I started taking this medicine and nothing was healing. I have tendon problems from my achilles, to patellar tendon, to tennis and golfers elbow, to bicep tendon, and a couple others. I’m only 17 and it’s taken me away from sports and it makes no sense how this happened. Do you think getting my t3 at a good level would benefit me in tendon regrowth?
