The first tip (Nerdforge) is so valuable for traditional art, as it is something so easy and essential (at least for me) to do in digital, yet you can translate that from traditional to digital and try all of your crazy ideas and see what fits.

To all of you, not just 10 Hun, thank you. Thank you for taking the time to do videos like this to help the little people. I've loved art in many forms since a was small. I never really had art classes in school (no one funds the art programs) so I've learned everything through trial and error and watching a lot of you guys do things. It's so helpful when you guys do stuff like this and I hope you know it means a lot. You never stop learning.

I want to add to your matt medium tape tip, as that wont work if you are oil painting (and have paint already down). You can also use the same color paint as what you are bordering. If you have a white background for example and want a crisp black line, put the tape down and do a white layer first, let it dry and then do the black. It is basically the same technique, but it can be expanded to some situations where the medium or even clear gesso, wont work for. I wonder how many people are now searching for National Geo magz. That is the most brilliant idea. Its far cheaper than going to a book store and buying photographic reference books. That's awesome.

Hullo Artists! I have been a freelance artist creating everything from a comic strip to organic sculpture for a parade float IE: The Rose Parade, New Years Day! I have done most all of these things(perhaps except all of the digital tricks, they do charge with versions or upgrades!) and I used an undercoat of paint to seal tape lines, It was years before I discovered that mediums are just as good (like matte medium). Jess’s organization ideas were so integral to the idea of me & my wife buying a house! I have always lived in trailers or mobile homes. Having a home to dedicate a room or to be able to add-on an addition to the house that is a complete studio was a HUGE turning point in my career! I am still in awe of how Peter is able to gather so many truly amazing Artists to collaborate, very cool! I hope everyone has enjoyed this video as much as I!

A lot of great advice! One thing that really got me started on working on an animation series for a channel that has been begging me to start. The idea won't leave me alone. Was to just disconnect my Internet for a while. I can still watch videos a bit in my phone, but suddenly I am working on characters and next will be stories and creating voices for each one. Somehow new ideas and styles are coming together to create characters that I would have never created. Not having my Internet on my PC is so helpful. Adobe and Microsoft along with my password software are all freaking out right now but it is good to not have that constant input and since I am not a do everything on my phone it has been great for me. Being more mature in my age probably is helpful in this too.

Im a hobby artist, but my main job is in sales. The tip of giving them a lesser quality piece before the real deal is spot on. Basic human psychology makes it so we are very rarely satisfied with being given what we think we want. In my case I can give you a great discount/deal and that's whay everyone thinks they want when they come in. I'll definitely give you a good deal, and will probably throw in a discount for no reason anyway, but if I give it to you upfront your not gonna take it. Either you feel scammed or will try to get a better one regardless of how good it is. I don't blame you, because I do the same thing. So I give you a higher number then we both know we will settle on. I get the sale and you get to go home feeling like you beat me at my own game. With art you want to feel like your input mattered. You drop hundreds of dollars on a piece and then the artist just emails it to you? I don't care how good it is, I'm gonna feel a little like they just pulled it out there ass. If I'm in loved with the process then I can't complain and I feel special. First draft isn't up to snuff? I ask the artist to improve it and they do and now I feel listened to. That's what I'm paying for and what I want at the heart of it. To interact with my favorite artist and have something made FOR me. The drawing is just a medium for the transaction.

I love kypto’s tip… I’m an old man compared to you guys… but when I was in Design school collecting Nat Geo’s was required for that very purpose. Smithsonian was also good. Sadly in the late 80’s & early 90’s the art world went obsessively insane about copyright infringement.. such techniques became almost criminal. You had to sign contracts that didn’t even allow for derivative use. Using such references… you get the picture. Now we live in tge age of Ai… he all those guys who were screaming about copyright… yah right…

Thank you all for the great tips. みなさんありがとう。 Will the tip with the clean lines work with acrylic binder instead of matt medium? I don't have one. I suspect that in order to be able to paint on spray paint again, transparent Gesso/Primer also works, and you don't necessarily need a matt medium, but this is more universal. Sporadically, I write simple sentences in Japanese so that I can learn the language better by using them.

Though I enjoyed and appreciated the tips, liked your art and the creators you picked I would like to see a video representing all ages. Older artists and less known artists would give equally good advice. Now this is like the wealthy helping the other wealthy get wealthier. Was going to say nothing wrong with that but actually, there is. Give making a video a try in which you give a leg up to beginners of all ages with tons of talent and who might be trying to get a following. Don't get me wrong, I respect you young artists and appreciate your tip and like your graphic style. Just that this world would be nicer if we helped one another out, those who are trying hard but getting drowned out by the many. I got deep there and this was just about art tips, lol. Have a nice day everyone.... 😊.

Anyone trying to discover their "style"; the answer is literally to do what's fun for you, what you enjoy. That simple and I'll tell you why. Someone who has a recognizable "style" like TenHun didn't create characters the way he did, thousands of times over, because he doesn't enjoy making them that way. I may be wrong but I think there's a misconception between technique and style. I love drawing big triangular eyes like Villain Eyes from Dragon Ball Z. Everyone, everythings got em, I'll draw em shocked, happy, surprised, sad, glaring, you name it, big triangle eyes like Oprah be handing em out! Everyone gets em!

All these sets, but still waiting on him to make some movies., we've seen you drop banger songs. You're telling me we can't get an art movie? I mean, you have a whole warehouse! Make it a horror movie about being in a rut having a writer's block or what's that one movie with Matt Damon trying to take over some dudes' life as an evil doppelgänger. Shoot make an inception parody about art and call it conception 3D print some new caps and learn how to use them and show us how long it takes for you to get use to them. Make something about an artist that keeps painting the same painting, but they're all inside the same painting. But he just keeps layering it until it drives him mad. A painting inside a painting. For a super sick push, zoom. "We have to go deeper"
