She went in blindly, having never seen this thing before, caught a glimpse of this gigantic creature currently sedated, attacked the alchemist, and then approached the creature with a calm voice to say she was getting him out of there. We've seen how the Hextech network can preserve consciousness, even after physical death. Remember Viktor's assistant? She was clearly killed, yet her consciousness lingered within the network. Could something similar happen to Viktor? Perhaps his consciousness is now intertwined with the Hextech, allowing him to exist in a digital or ethereal form. Maybe his spirit will be reborn as the Machine Herald.

While I agree it does preserve their “consciousness.” I think it’s more like he remakes them and takes away their “negative” emotion/traits. Like fear and anger. Notice the first guy he heals? He literally unmakes him and drains his “shimmer” and then remakes him. Salos is the same. Even though we don’t see it happen to him. We do see the result of it. He isn’t himself and appears robotic. As for Skye. I believe that it is the Rune taking her appearance to speak to Victor. She is the only other living person to be absorb by it. Unlike Victor she dies to it. It may have killed her and then made a copy of her to use like how Victor is able to possess those he healed. After Jayce kills him. The rune may make a copy of Victor without his “affections” for Jayce or his feelings to help people. Since it led him to his death. Literally evolving him and ridding his weakness. His human emotions.

Tragedy, almost in the Ancient Greek theatre tradition sense, defines Arcane. I do believe Viktor was pure, and completely uncorrupted. I do believe the writers were playing it straight by making him virtually Hextech Jesus. Ultimately, I think that's the subversion here; with the creepy elements of Viktor's healing being used to manipulate the audience into perceiving ambiguity. Beyond that, I think Viktor was right, not Jayce. That Jayce will create exactly what he seems to be so afraid of. That he hoped to prevent, by killing Viktor. That the thing inside of him wants to happen, or perhaps it urged Jayce to kill his partner because he was its greatest threat.

We don't know what smoothly is here, we don't know the end point of what Viktor is doing. Everything looks nice and perfect but Arcane has shown multiple times, everything isn't black and white, also after helping Vander Viktor was going to die, so what happened at the end with everyone losing control and Vander losing control, was most likely going to happen. Don't think Jayce just decided to blow a hole in his best friend for fun

Spoiler: But really, you shouldnt be here unless you finished season 2 Everyone blames Jayce but what actually yeeted Vander was Singed. He is standing at the end, when they left to see he injected Vander with the serum to finalize his transformation into Warwick and prepare him for his role in finalizing Viktors ascension to a god. Although that being said, if you believe Jinx survived (which I do) either A) Vander died in the explosion/disapearence of Jayce/Viktor or B) he was also on the airship at the end of Act 3 flying away. I think his death is more likely, it would be hard to imagine warwick as a odd metallic monster in a future show.
