And the umpire and supervisor both ignored her plea for why the line umpire that went with her didn't tell her how much time she had left. It was a big fail on the tournament's side. And if she wanted to forfeit the match cause she was clearly fucked with a 1-0 30-0 behind starting a set the WTA will give her a fine and as always make money of the players. @jobuck879
@jobuck879 2 жыл бұрын
@@einarsd4 How can you think like that? Look at it like we do in the real world. When you’re at work and on your break, you have a time limit right? Isn’t tennis their job? They chose to make it their career right? So if that’s the case then they need to have some own personal accountability to manage their break times. I mean she could have said “hey how long do I have?” And not just put the blame on the person who has to stand outside of the restroom and make sure no rules are being broken. Also some players rush into the bathroom and then afterwards go into the locker room to make sure to be back in time. Think of it like you going to your break, you’d supervisor isn’t going manage your time, you are-and if you’re late coming back from break they will penalize you-especially if it’s a PAID break. I’ve had to let my employees know that it’s up to them to manage their time and in our employee handbook they know what the consequences will be if they go over their breaks.
@einarsd4
@einarsd4 2 жыл бұрын
@@jobuck879 Your statement is absolutely absurd. Ana Bogdan didn't have a phone with her, because rules restrict taking phone in the bathroom during bathroom breaks, since that Tsitsipas incident. She didn't know how long she even was in the bathroom. And tennis players can't just run outside the bathroom to ask how much time they have left of that break. It's the duty of officials to inform tennis players how much time they have left of that specific bathroom break. In this case tennis officials failed to do so, and it caused both Sara Sorribes Tormo and Ana Bogdan to return on the court very late. In such heat is impossible to keep track of time. It was organiser's and tennis official's fault that this happened.
@jobuck879
@jobuck879 2 жыл бұрын
@@einarsd4 I didn’t say she had a phone did I? No I did not. What I said is that since tennis is her career then she is responsible for EVERYTHING that will affect her including time management. Every aspect of the game is her responsibility--look it up you may not have a clue as to what the word responsibility actually means--and I do mean it’s her responsibility. She’s responsible to follow any new rule changes, she’s responsible for any new ban list of drugs…it’s her career. That means when she goes on break she’s responsible for her time management. She should have asked how much time is left and not been depending on someone else to let her know. I played tennis in high school and in college. I knew exactly how much time was allowed for bathroom breaks and I promise you that I never once was penalized due to being over the time limit. It’s her fault. She can’t put the blame all on the other person. It’s called accountability and responsibility…learn those 2 words fully today. And the person was standing right outside the door!! She didn’t have to go find them to ask how much time was left!! Don’t be absurd-your hubris is pathetic. And even if she didn’t want to go outside and ask she could have shouted out “How much time is life??!!” I mean they were standing right at the damn door. It’s her own responsibility period!!
@einarsd4
@einarsd4 2 жыл бұрын
@@jobuck879 Another idiotic statement by you. You clearly have zero fricking idea how tennis rules works. High school tennis and professional tennis are two different things. Learn it, you idiot. Professional tennis have completely different rules than high school tennis. High school tennis isn't professional tennis at all, you dimwit. It's not her responsibility to know how much time is left from that bathroom break. It's only tennis staff responsibility. She cannot shout as it might disturb other tennis players who are waiting for their turn. And if she will shout frequently, others might think that she is crazy. Also frequently running outside the bathroom to ask how much time is left also looks stupid. You clearly have zero fricking idea how professional tennis even works. Just face it. I won this argument. I have facts on my side and you only have your own baseless arguments. You keep on embarrassing and humiliating yourself. Take L and shut up.

The part I don't understand about the bathroom fiasco is the resultant score. The supervisor said that Bogdan received 6 point penalties and that both players received time violations until deuce in the opening game. Shouldn't that make the score 1-0, 15-0? Not 1-0, 30-0? Shared Penalty 1: 0-0, 15-15 Shared Penalty 2: 0-0, 30-30 Shared Penalty 3: 0-0, 40-40 Penalty 4: 0-0, AD-40 Penalty 5: 1-0, 0-0 Penalty 6: 1-0, 15-0 I'm thinking they did some quick mental math and arrived at that incorrect score instead of assessing the penalties one at a time.

In my opinion, in cases like the first one the umpire's decision is right. At service speed it's almost impossible to be affected by any call even if it comes a few splits of seconds before the raquet touches the ball. The placement, the motion etc have already been decided and a call could not affect any of those at such short period of time. I think it should be a general rule that in service, points should be replayed only if the receiver puts the ball back in.

no nonsense stuff by the umpire in the last clip, or at least it was edited that way. plenty of umpires take forever to get their points across and end up in long drawn out arguments.

Mr Ranieri needs to tell Ana simply: "Restart play now or suffer additional point penalties." The additional delay was completely unfair to her opponent. And naturally no tennis drama video is complete without a couple of Putintseva clips - worst player in the WTA (measured by ethics and fair-play morals).

I was couple of time in Switzerland , its really hard to bellive for such a perfect country which really is to see some things , I'm not talking only about restaurant near the court case , its also the way some of them treats their kids and how they don't give a flying duck for human beings in general , specially strangers I met older couple on my hicking on mountain , they were so polite , friendly , mind opened , they tell me ( when I told them how good people they are and how they deserves such a beautiful country) that not all swiss are like that , and that there are some really horrible people in the country (and its a big, big number) who will let you die in front of them without blink...

they historically don't take sides... are ''neutral'' to what happens outside of their borders... that does explain a little why they are usually considered unfriendly towards foreigners... (they don't mind taking their garbage to their neighbouring countries though...)

If there's restaurant noise that's affecting both players, so be it. Learn to deal with it. It's not like it's only affecting one player. It's ridiculous that there is a restaurant there, but it's also ridiculous that players yell at the restaurant customers to get them to stop enjoying their meals with their friends and families

In my less charitable moments I think that professional tennis players are very prissy. How can you not take responsibility for being late if you knew how much time you were allotted? How would you not keep playing a point despite the umpire not calling a ball not up? How do you vent your frustrations on the umpire with such language? Why can't you serve with a little background noise?

Kiki Mladenovic was correct both times The ball was clearly out. If you watch 3:19 - 3:21 on KZbin 0.25 times speed with zoomed in screen you will see that Nuria Parizas Diaz's serve is out. Umpire was wrong. At 4:02 Mladenovic's serve was so IN. It was clear ACE. If you watch 4:02 on KZbin 0.25 slow motion with zoomed in screen you will see that it was in. Umpire afterwards didn't even show to Mladenovic a mark at all. He pointed his finger to completely blank area. And because of this shit umpire Mladenovic lost that match to Pariza Diaz. This umpire needs to be fired.
