What an authentic athlete. Love his mindset. He's always true to himself. Kudos to him.

I am so glad these interviews are on KZbin, so those of us who can't get the Tennis Channel are able to see them.

My favorite guy in tennis. Very surprising that he didn't win a Grand slam. Wawrinka lost but Murray is in. Good luck Gael.

Most entertaining player on the tour, even when he loses.

Great player, great guy, best and fastest athelete ever in tennis. Wishing the best for him and some big wins still to come.

Monfils is one of the most entertaining tennis players I’ve ever seen play. He’s been playing so well. So happy to see him having such success.

What a guy. We often tend to over look players like Gael, frankly just for lack of achievement, but the game really will miss him when he officially hangs the rackets on the wall.

No serious tennis fan overlooks him. He's won multiple masters and many titles. He's just not won a slam but definitely has brought a lot of joy and consistency to the game. We love his charisma and unique style of play.

"lack of achievement" seems a bit of a stretch...the guy's won 12 titles, made over $22 million in prize money, and was good enough to be ranked as high as #6 when Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray were all playing. 90-95% of the players on tour never reach these heights over their careers...that's some achievement!

He, to me at least, embodies the full arc of what it is to be a man. He is so generous in allowing cameras a view of his life. I don't understand French at all but having watched his channel and of course just taking all of his media press/etc, this is the man that I can and will look up to.

@@waldolydecker8118 Lack of achievement in terms of big tournament wins. He's i think the 34th highest earning player in history so he for sure has achieved great heights in that aspect, but Im willing to bet he wishes he could have won a major or a couple of masters, and just overall more than the 12 titles he has, that's all i am saying. Gael's one of my favorites and I will miss him dearly when he's officially hung up the rackets, I just wish there could have been a dream run somewhere in there.

@@Wes1128 - I hear you, but I do think that we as fans probably over-emphasize the importance or necessity of having a Slam or Masters title. Sure, any player would want one, but if it wasn't in the cards (as it wasn't for dozens of players during this unprecedented Federer, Nadal, Djokovic era), yet you still manage to win a dozen titles, play on tour for 20 years - half of that time at the top of the sport, and also make over $20 million on the court and more in endorsements and NIL, you really have nothing to feel inadequate about.
