Love this racquet! I just switched from the Youtek Radical pro and was pleased to see more power without sacrificing feel.

Hey guys, was just watching this one again. As a youngster I have played with Agassi/Kuerten Ti. Radical and always loved it. Was now thinking about going back to Head racquets and this seems like a good choice. However, I have some doubts regarding the overall weight and polish through. At the beginning, you start by saying you like “head heavy racquets”, however the measured specs were W:330, SW:314 and you later added the advantage of head lightness for serve. Am guessing this one offers more control than power, cause of the lower swing weight, right? Many thanks!

Hi. I bought two raquets at tennis express and both of them weights 325gr (exactly). It's a great raquet.

That's a journey for you to figure out. I'm personally enjoying lynx 18 and confidential 18 at 55 lbs but I know a lot of guys that string poly in the mid 40s and swear by it. I like the firmer feel coming off Kevlar from some years back.

what is the string tension you used on it ?

Poseo esta raqueta y me gusta la sensación de rigidez que aporta. Va muy bien en tiros planos o con un poco de forward spin. Raquetón.

hello, am I hesitating between the yonex vcore pro 97 310gr and the head radical pro 310g? I tested them both. what do you recommend to me? Thank you

I currently have those 2 racquets in my bag. The main difference is in the hitting sensation. With the softer beam of the vcore pro, you can really hear and feel a longer lasting vibration, but it's actually less shock on your arm. Between the two, the vcore is more comfortable, slightly harder to swing (still swings very easily and quickly). Power seems similar between the two, actually. The hoop of the Radical feels more hollow, less substantial, but the stiffness and easy swing helps you to generate power on full swings. The vcore pro served much better for me. Something about the distribution of the mass. Im going with the head, and just purchased my third racquet. That said, the vcore pro is still in the bag and may come into play more.

SW is supposed to be near to 325 grams, that one is far off... but happens with Head and most of the big brands ☠️

Hello, how would this compare to the pro staff 97 315gramsin terms of head weight and ‘pocketing’?

I switched from my PS97, Radical gives a lot more top spin, pop, and more forgiving string-bed. But less manoeuvrable. PS97 is better inside the service line and also digging up low balls and volleys.

I hated how stiff this racquet was - felt like an iron pole everytime the racquet contacted the ball!

The flex rating is 68. Way too stiff. Nothing like the old radicals. 314 SW is not good enough for completion. Why call it a radical PRO. What a joke.

These graphene radicals are too stiff and hollow. Hope they can fix it.
