@Tennisnerd, what I like about your videos is the silent play footage you provide for several minutes. It's not edited to show super winner shots or crazy camera angles. It shows how people would play in the real world including mistakes, mis-hits and winners. Cheers.

Used this racket for a season. I would definitely recommend it for more advanced players. The sweet spot is not very big (which is quite expected) but when you get it right it delivers.

Jonas you will playing the pro circuit soon the way you were hitting in the second half of the video. I will look out the Radical Pro just bought Ezone 98 and Ezone Pro 98 off eBay waiting to try them currently using Babolat Pure Strike 98 16 19 and have 18 20 also. If I don’t like the Ezones I will sell again on EBay. I did buy two Head Speed MP’s but don’t like the 100 sq inch head can’t really hit it well also seems to jar my wrist more than the Pure Strike which has a more solid stable feel. So selling one and maybe the other after I have tried some lead weight on the head. Thanks for your videos good info and helpful on the tennis journey. I am in UK

Good review altho you missed the Goldilocks of the series...the Radical "S" model is 102 sq inch and a 61 RA....a brilliant design that reminded me of the Wilson Pro Staff 97 "S".....I foamed up that racquet myself and am playing a few notches above what I thought I was capable.... just a thought

@@chadallen3211 I feel this racquet is a bit more versatile with the 98 sq inch head size and offers slightly more spin thanks to the open pattern. It is a tough one though since it was a while I played the Speed Pro.

@spoonfed1548

Hi! Thanks for another great review. In my search for a racquet, I've been through heavier frames, both softer and stiffer (Hyper Prostaff 6.1, Volkl C10 Pro, RF97A) and a few lighter frames such as Wilson Ultra Tour and Yonex DR98. Though I've eventually added lead and a leather grip to these lighter frames, they lack a bit of power because of the flex. So this new Radical seems like a nice version of a type of racquet I haven't tried: the lighter, stiffer kind of modern players racquet. Do you mind answering a few questions about it? - The RA is pretty high. What did you think of arm comfort? Had a recent scare with my elbow playing with old Luxilon in my RG97A. - The TW-reviewers complained about lack of stability, how did you feel about stability and plow? - I'm looking for a more control-oriented racquet, but does it at least offer more power than the Wilson Ultra Tour (even with a bit a lead)? 😁 Thanks!
@Tennisnerd
@Tennisnerd 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Pål, thanks! The arm comfort is decent, but if you are feeling your elbow with the RF97A, I would try to test before I buy. There are plenty of more comfortable racquets out there. I thought the stability was pretty good on the Pro, but if you are coming from the RF97A you are going to feel the need to add some lead tape. It does offer more power than the Ultra Tour, not a huge deal, but enough. If you want a bit more power in a comfortable package I would consider Angell racquets or the Diadem Elevate Tour. The foam-filling is good for the arm...
@spoonfed1548
@spoonfed1548 5 жыл бұрын
@@Tennisnerd Thanks for the great answer - and advice to check out Diadem and Angell. I think my elbow issue in part was due to the luxilon being too old, but it still made me want to be more careful in general. My search continues. Thanks again!

I recently rewatched TW's review of the Radical 360 MP and Pro, despite having a decent swingweight of around mid 320-ish, they said the racket felt unstable. Did you have this experience, if so it is because of a low twistweight?
@Tennisnerd
@Tennisnerd 5 жыл бұрын
Chuong Do The twist weight is a bit low, but I did not feel any stability issues. I don’t expect a 310 gram racquet to be rock solid so for me it played great and Nik thought it was one of the best racquets he had ever played with...

Tennisnerd I’m also a bit confused about the terms muted and dampened? Are they 2 completely different things? (Muted being you can’t feel the ball as much on the stringbed and dampened means less vibration sent down your arm, wrist?) Or are they somewhat connected, with less dampening you feel more connected to the ball?

Playing with both and to me the XT has more power, also a bit more polarized wheight distribution. The 360 has better control and a more pingy kind of brittle sound on impact, also more mutad feel. I am also like Jonas finding the 360 more sensitive to strings and tension. Can easily feel boardlike if strung too high with full poly. Now playing it at 50-51 pounds with a multi-poly hybrid. It is a toss up between the two versions and I have still not decided if the gains in control, esp on backhand, up wheigh the loss in power esp on forehand...both very good sticks.
@joakimharlin9030
@joakimharlin9030 4 жыл бұрын
Have now decided to stick with my XTs. The higher swing weight and more polarized weight distribution gives me a more solid feel on impact on all strokes and especially on serve. There is something magical about the XT Radical Pro in that they are so maneuverable, stable and powerful at the same time. Hard to beat that feeling. Only real draw back is the drop in power on off center hits and the cosmetics which are too noisy for me. Control wise the 360 version is a notch better but you need to string it low, in the upper 40 pound range if using full bed of poly to get any feel and power to your strokes. I played around with lead tape on the 360 but did not find that it improved the response. I will stick to my XT guns until the Radical 360+ version arrives. But who knows .... the XT just might be my thing, and they are still playing better than me :-)

If you mean Tecnifibre 305 XTC versus this 360 Radical Pro. I have both and the main differences are that the TF has a marked lower launch angle, higher swing weight and even if both are more of control and low power in nature the TF gave me more pop with the same strings and tension. The Radical is more maneuverable though and more headlight which I preferred. The TF has a softer and in my view nicer feel on impact so both have their pros and cons.

@Tennisnerd

Wow, that is a tough one. They will play very close. The head size of the MP will give you more pop than the Radical Pro. So if you want more control - Radical Pro, more power - Speed MP.
@joakimharlin9030
@joakimharlin9030 4 жыл бұрын
Tennisnerd I concur, have both. They both have a kind of brittle sound on impact, the Radical more so. That translates to the feel on impact more on the Speed 360 MP than on the 360 Radical Pro of some reason. The Radical Pro is lower powered and has more mass and swing weight so I think this plays in. The Speed is as Jonas says more powerful and apart from the frame flex I think it has to do with a larger head size and a more open string pattern. Toss up which one to choose once you have strung the Radical with the right string and at a low ca 48 pound tension. If you want some room for customization go with the Speed MP.
