Wow. I really do believe this is a groundbreaking perspective presented here in this video, and honestly just watching this video alone has motivated me a lot to continue pushing through despite our cultural times just as these vids always do. As I observe around me the men and women increasingly falling prey to this enantiodromia process there is still hope and there is still time, and this channel for me is evidence of that. It also really serves for me as a call to action to stand firm ground against this negative cultural katabasis you could say. I feel deeply from within that this minority of people who maintain this ground will see change if we continue to do so incrementally, and I think if we're determined we might be able to turn things around again where they are sick and have gone wrong, truly.

I've been searching for answers related to this kind of information in order to figure out how to adapt, and how to relate properly within what's happening. I've been stuck in this liminal space - for all my life to some degree from never really being able to find my place or identify with things the way other people do - and in recent years I get an overwhelming pressure of frustration with a distinct sense of slowly dying, and all I can think to do is to accept what's happening, keep learning about this information to expand my adaptability/consciousness. While externally, continuing to connect with like minded people while trying to stabilize myself within the socio-economic reality I face. In a sense I feel like I've been preparing for this my whole life. Eternally grateful for your work! Thank you! 🙏

Thank you you three for this video. As ever, a very important video and opportunity for us (viewers, students, professionals, men and woman) to digest and reflect. My experience as a man reflects many of the things spoken about in this video. These are very testing times for the masculine spirit. It can be a pretty sad and tragic picture to look at from certain angles. If humanity can somehow get through this, I am sure we will learn. It shouldn't have had to get this bad. To be honest, as someone who has stuck to his guns (in life) - and suffered for it in many ways - it has been easy for me to feel angry at the apathy and laziness, vacuity, denial and stupidity I have witnessed these past 12+ years of my adult life. While i am aware that i myself have certain things to work on re my relating function and am far from perfect, I could never have imagined how much of a mess humanity was when I was a child (re anticipation). The saddest part for me seems to be that everyone will suffer if disaster comes to pass. The tide will not discriminate. I really hope that doesn't happen. Humanity is better than what it has been. My own self included. Thank you again Steve and Pauline for your work and legacy. And thank you James for being such a fantastic host 🙏

Blessings, @zero-tension3180, thank you once again for your very considered and thoughtful contributions. We think that there can be no doubt that these contemporary times are truly historic, with a unique configuration of challenges. The catabolic field-strength is showing signs of a potential reversal, being imminent. Hence the forces driving things into collapse are no longer concealing themselves, and we can see that the political actors aren't individual agents, as such. Rather, they're being tested every bit as much as everyone else. Their inflation, is the real danger, just as Jung predicted, of his times. When a field reverses (as in for example the Earth's magentic field) there's a period of apparent chaos, before an equlibrium point is restored. The main thing now is to be as prepared as is possible, for the reversal. There are signs that the reversal has indeed started. The collective field is turbulent, but a realignment is configuring. A point of great potential danger, but also of opportunity. Kindest Regards, Steve & Pauline

I'm only 14 minutes in and overcome (in a good way) by affect and the implications of 2 things said so far. The first was "women are the context for men". I hope Steve goes into more detail further in this video; otherwise here's a sneak preview of of my next seminar question :D. The other thing that struck me was his statement re internet evolutionary biologists' lack of understanding re: field phenomenon, psychology beyond stale, reductionist models; and psychology's superposition w/ one's biology, social environment and the 'field' simultaneously. It occurred to me how Dr. Anthony Stevens is an exception to this and one of my goals for this weekend was to articulate what Dr. Stevens has contributed to my own professional development. A stack of his books are sitting next to me as I write. But instead of 'working on it' I started this morning with some creative writing. And then instead of 'working on it' I felt compelled to listen to this video and 💥! After an hour and 14 minutes of 'procrastination' , w/o cracking open any of Dr. Steven's books, I am crystal clear on what I have to say. If I'm not mistaken, this may have been super-positioning in real time.

Thank you 🙏 all.This means a great deal to me. Something I have also consciously watched develop and warned against. I agree entirely with the views put forward here and can be explained through many different modalities. (Your superpositioning concept) However, what Is lacking is practical solutions that James tentatively enquired towards but, yes ultimately we must find them in ourselves .
@JungToLiveBy Жыл бұрын
Hi again ernestberry-songsrestored56, thanks for your comment and continued support or the channel. Progress needs to incremental. Firstly, the realisation of what is actually happening, which takes time to really engage with. Then, there’s the understanding that ‘practical solutions’ will be resisted, by those catabolic elements that will only ramp up in intensity, the closer things move towards a potential reversal point. Then, of course, there’s simply time constraints for a video. Longer videos may not be watched through and important points missed. Kindest Regards, Steve 🙏

Where James explains he dreams of Lilith and is told, "Wake up!" (I'm paraphrasing here). Once you grasp the insights here - should you wish to - there's such explanatory power available; and an opportunity to transcend the continual polarities that a culture struggling to make sense to itself throws up. Understand how the 'field' operates through the collective on deep levels (biological, psychological & social) and you will have the right tools to frame what's happening now - without 'collapsing' into 'conspiracy theories' or various associated polarities. Absolutely brilliant work guys, and personally very resonant. I'm super grateful.

I discovered this channel in my youth at 16 years of age. I've gonna through the fall, rise and then fall once again. And then a couple of more times. Sometimes I feel lost in this world, the interia of my past and of my family (separation), and breaking down multiple times. In metaphor,, "losing my life" or that connection to it. Yet, I have nothing but 'hope' left for the world and myself. I get back up and look towards the future, even if it feels numb. It doesn't matter where I might land or go too. But, here in this community, I see a simple calling of people trying there absolute best to live and wake up again (with the help and support of outstanding individuals within this channel and the cadre of students and teachers). To understand 'meaning' and see the future. You guys are doing something way beyond my own understanding. In due time, (hopefully) I'll be ready to understand and stand with a humble heart. I remember crying at my worst times/breaking down and what kept me sane were the smiles of others around me, a happy couple walking with each other, a family inviting me to play with them, and seeing myself as part of these people. Maybe I've have been alone for sometime now, because of this journey. And the certain things I can't readily explain to others in my context. Now, more than ever the future seems so much important than the past. So I just want to thank you guys for the help and opportunity. Grateful as always 🙏

Once again. Wow. Helps me make sense of my own process and final epiphanies I've been having. Ill share another dream I had 13 years ago ... I was going down a cave and the path was rocky riddled with skulls... The path led to a chamber where there was a man dressed in formal attire kind of victorian times .. the man had a moustache.. the chamber inside the cave was beautifully decorated in luxury again victorian style. Back then I came to the end of a relationship... I felt crushed by society and was the beginning of me repressing my instincts and losing territory in the world. Felt very inadequate since I felt my protective instincts, my ambition, my competitiveness were wrong. Recently I shaved my beard and left the moustache felt it was time to reclaim that treasure of who I really am that lied protected yet unlived within me in that cave. I spent the last 14 years untangling my instincts to finally watch this video. There goes my confirmation.

A lot to say about this video, and lots to take in. Thank you. I was mindlessly scrolling tiktok the other night when I saw a video that stopped me in my tracks. It was a video, about someone scrolling on tiktok, video after video, until they hit a video of Jocko Willick, saying, "You have made, no progress. None". The woman moved her thumb to scroll, but chose not to, and put the phone down. Low, lonely, discordant beats played as she stared, with horrible audio tracks overlaid. One of these audios, those most relevant to themes of your video, was, "I think an atheist.... gets to lean into the idea that when they close their eyes and breathe their last breath, it stops. And I just think thats a big gamble man, and I don't mean because you go to hell, I mean.... how nice would that be!? If it just stopped!" These montages, and audios, were common, but when I first saw them some time ago they had very little likes, and views, they weren't mainstream. Do you want to guess how many people saw, and how many people liked, this video? Within 10 days, this video has 5 and a half million views, and 1.4 million likes. A video like this whose final audio is just unarticulated agonized screaming, is that resonant among my generation. I began to think, this really is mainstream, this is real, and what are the consequences of this, what's coming? I know at least, and see you agree, that this can't last. After this video, strangely, I don't feel so bad about it, I feel inspired, and understand it more in this collective entropy, this thanatos.

Hi again, @magikman3586. ‘Archetypes' minus their instinctive context have no meaning. Meaning is the ultimate motivator. In an emergency, there are no archetypes (they appear later, as representations of superpositioned factors) but there are instincts. Meta-instincts provide the context that organises the genome's delivery of the activation chain: gene expression - Pankseppian instinct - Meta-Instinct- Affect - Meaning - Action in the World. Cognition (intellectualisation) is properly an 'after-thought'. So long as the activation chain, lines-up, by a sense of connected superpositioning, the right action, and result, will follow. Kindest Regards, Steve & Pauline

@theartofseeing4422 Жыл бұрын
My thoughts exactly.
@JungToLiveBy Жыл бұрын
Hi again, @agentmysterian1461, we'd regard this as a field-phenomenon, that superpositions representation of these dystopian stories, in culture, at the same time they are present as active ground-state 'informational'-dynamics within both individuals and groups. Consciousness of the 'field' as an Objective Wave-Form' (OWF) allows us to process the latent (otherwise unconscious) dymanics, active within the field. Subjective collapse of the field of our individual consciousness (the SWF) doesn't have the carrying-capacity, to grasp the superpositioned state of the wider OWF. It takes effort, and an increased attention to field dynamics. Those who do not make the effort, will be directed by the dominant trend in the field. Its a clear choice, but only if we know that consciousness is not only subjective, to our personal awareness. Kindest Regards, Steve
@Nigma93 Жыл бұрын
We need more powerful souls like you 3. In a time where the world is going mad and being fooled by evil(unconsciousness) those who are conscious are the bearers of light and a hope for the future. People are stuck in ideologies, constructs and illusions of all kind. They are identified with their intellect and possessed by their instincts. The nature of instincts makes it so that people don’t want to face them but runaway from them. This attempt to run away from instincts creates external chaos which is only a product of chaos in the psyche of individuals. Mind programming and the new pseudo progressive ideologies directly attack the fundamental male instincts which are intimidating in nature both for men themselves and also for a culture that brainwashed woman into thinking that being “strong and independent” is honorable for them but the problem is that this is an illusion which is not in alignment with fundamental female instincts. So the identity(ego,superego) is at war with the instincts(id) which can only lead to misery and catastrophe. This is a product of past pathological expression of masculinity in the form of the authoritarian dogmatic rulership of the church for thousands of years and thus, through enantiodromia the feminine principle has rebelled through the social movement of woman’s empowerment. The pathology here is that the concept of equality between man and woman is not in alignment with instincts. The concept of being “equal” is a social one which does not align with human nature. But a failure to acknowledge our nature does not make it go away but instead pathologizes it’s expression because of a split between logos and Eros. The devil being the one who separates and fragments is having its way right now. Archetypes are playing out in the collective through individuals that act as unconscious vessels of ideas and thought forms. Evil spirits are possessing people and are creating havoc in the collective and the key to freeing the world from this madness is CONSCIOUSNESS so that people, in touch with their fundamental selves , stop being possessed by forces they do not understand and instead connect with their fundamental natures primarily instinctive and connect with the most healthy and aligned aspects of it and also their divine or transcendent natures and bring heaven and earth together. As we speak, not only is the devil doings it’s job BUT there is still many fellow conscious souls that are helping the collective awaken and we need to do this ourselves(which you are doing an amazing job at with your channel). True masculine and feminine equality is about alignment of our being with our instincts and aligning the intellect and identity with our fundamental nature in a functional manner in the context of society. The past of pathological masculine expression makes it so that the WHOLE of masculinity is being demonized and rejected and for this same reason we now have compensatory movements of man that act as a response to the dogma of the so called “woke”. And so, polar opposites are entering a war with no end because polarity creates only more polarization until we reach a point of absolute catastrophe. If we want to avoid that we mush bring consciousness to the collective and humans MUST wake up out of their ideological madness into unity with the Self or else we could witness very ugly things going forward. It is our job to shine our light, and by being aligned with ourselves, inspire other souls to align with the most adaptive expression of their instincts. We must embody the divine and most glorious, healthy and integrated version of our respective instincts in order to show the world the natural harmony that this will lead to. If humans keep going down this road of chaotic slumber being attached to false ideas and being brainwashed into tribal thinking and waging war on those who they falsely identify to be their ennemies under the illusion of the separate self what we will witness is an unmitigated catastrophe. So again we need to show the example and inspire sleeping souls to awaken. Keep fighting and shining your light no matter the darkness floating over society. And above all, we must stand together as conscious individuals.

I think there's a lack of definitive definition of what you guys mean by singularity. The extinction of humanity? The collapse of civilization? I'm assuming you mean the former since the collapse of civilization would be a near-death experience, although one pretty close to death. I think there can be near-deaths at different levels as well, I feel like we'll have more than one crossroads when going towards extinction, each leaving us with a worse outcome than the one before it. For example, the death of 80%, or even 99% of human population could still be a near death experience, provided humanity springs back and succeed in rebuilding. Edit: Alright, Steve answers my question about the definition of the singularity at around 15 minute mark.

Hi @Verschlimmbesserung, thanks so much for your kind comment, we learned personally from the late Professor George Engel, that even holism, is a kind of reductionism, as a focus of resolution of scale. Another very insightful video, I actually came from one of the conscious fields among the collective consciousness you mentioned. There is a community deep within the red pill followers that I started following in 2019 a few months before the pandemic, I followed him for 3 years and adopted him as a mana personality mimicking the personality he displayed with other people I would talk to on the internet and it sent me in a "cave" for awhile that I was fully aware of but didn't have the guts to get out of until earlier last year. Anyway, he's come to similar conclusions that you all talked about in this video minus it being from the ISPA standpoint, thank you for all that you do. I want you guys to know that I am very grateful for the wealth of mental health you've all provided me, I get closer to being myself every day! Love and peace to all.

33:58 - I fully agree that this is traditional (and historically) practical gender manifestations trying to reassert themselves. Here's hoping that we are able to find applications for the 'right side out' masculine and feminine that are stable enough too survive exponential technology including more democratization of disaster weapons, meaning we won't be able to do this in the zero-sum way that we used to.

@@JungToLiveBy Precisely. I am optimistic in a sense that there will be humanitarian visionaries that will aim to progress society forward. My guess is that they will be scrutinised and resented but they will be the ones to clear the way forward. I see JTLB as part of this vision of an affective world where adaptive relating is a chief principle. What is important, now, is that we all must try to be on the right side of history. Keep up the good content Steve, Pauline, and James, because you are getting straight to the point of an adaptive biopsychosocial life rather than reducing everything to psychosis-like theory...like what some people are pushing. Honestly, you are a blessing to this world.

I was unsure if I should ask this in the discord or not, but I think here would be best for others to see. I have a question regarding when Steve and Pauline were talking about the "men who are competitive" and how the women would then select those men. What exactly is it meant by those men who are competitive. I understand the obvious need for status and securing resources, but if there is a current push by a few parties globally to cull the west, is it inevitable (as another commenter asked) that men of the west will have to engage in war. I understand somewhat the dynamic from women and the culture to divide men into either over amping themselves or becoming "wimps" and either not asserting their masculinity or allow masculinity as a category to be defiled. in approaching this situation as a field phenomenon, how would one approach this while operating externally in the world? Would going down a middle path and not allow yourself to be pushed to either extreme and by slowly over time changing the objective wave form. I wrote this earlier, but my connection cut out so it never posted and I'm trying to recall what I wrote. Thank you again for the 2 videos (so far) in the series. Gave me a lot to contemplate and reorganize how I see this dynamic situation and its actors. Cheers 👃

Been contemplating what I wrote for weeks now, though I got confirmation from my unconscious for it's help as (won't be too personal) my right thumb was freaking out and twitching during and after watching the video for days before I finally asked for assistance. After I did I got the confirmation of assistance and the twitching stopped. Experienced this before during, in retrospect was an unhealthy adaptation toa prominent celebrity psychologist, and I ignored those signals sadly from the psyche as just "odd muscle twitches" and of no importance.

I have a genuine question that worries me, in fact, it terrifies me. Are there any other academic circles that share similar insights to psycho-systems-analysis? I ask this because this knowledge is so esoteric and it’s explanatory power is overwhelming. IPSA has it’s own metaphysics and epistemology. If it were to be criticized from outside, I feel that Steve would have a highly technical and nuanced response to every criticism and thus render it meaningless (That’s how well thought everything seems to be and how robust the system is). Has there been any academic or person that has criticized IPSA’s ideas? I want to know if IPSA’s considers that it has limitations on it’s own system. Let me frame it this way, it’s absolutely terrifying to think that most if not all academic institutions are basically indulging in an epistemological delusion, in a misrepresentation of human nature and how it tries to solve human problems. Thus, IPSA is the truth and everything else is false or partially true. That’s how it has felt for me listening to Steve and Pauline through these years, but I may be magnifying it a bit too much. Apart from all of that, I genuinely am grateful that you guys keep sharing this knowledge for free in jung to live by.
@JungToLiveBy Жыл бұрын
Hi @1yanyiel, thanks for your comment, and your support for our channel, these last years. The IPSA model has a built in error-correcting feedback and updating element as one of its 'Four Pillars'. This means that the approach 'must' continuously update itself, and be pressure-tested against other models. This means too, that it should never be in a final form. Each practitioner is encouraged to follow this process of 'Dialectical Syncretism' and to test this against colleagues and peers, but most importantly, against the empiricism of real life, including other people's contexts and experience, through depth psychology and psychotherapy (as examples). As we're continually following this process of refinement and development, and have done since the 1980s, we welcome new inputs and experience. Our field as a whole is less amenable to continuous development. One reason for this is 'psycho-reductionism' which is mistake 101, as that leads to a collapsed ego-centric perspective and eventual abstraction into ossifying dogma. Kindest Regards, Steve

I cant remember which video in the series this was, so my apologies if it isn't this video... But I'm struggling with my understanding on a couple of things. After the video I was left with the impression that fighting in a war would be a good thing. The comment about the men who would NOT go to war, staying behind putting there hair in buns aided in that. But if these wars are a Darwin test then wouldn't it be better to NOT go to war and figure out a way to be self reliant and sustainable? If the women saying the dont like toxic masculinity are creating toxic masculine men. Is to past the shit test not to become a feminine man? Amd istead become a masculine one by being someone who would go to war. I am someone who could be swayed into going to war if I felt like a man doing so, but I could also imagine myself rejecting the concept because why would i foght for a nation that doesnt foght for me. Because the people on the other side of the war havnt done anything to me and are being herded into fighting a war the same way I would be. It's nothing personal between me and an opposition solider. I also don't understand what other shit tests are going on relationaly, maybe because I'm failing the test. Clarity would be much appreciated. Thank you
@JungToLiveBy Жыл бұрын
Hi again @leefletcher8489, there's no moral or ethical position taken on war, at all, only that we cannot escape our biology, and that its better to come to a conscious understanding of its adaptive demands, otherwise we will likely fall into selective conflict with them. There is a resolution of 'consciousness' that is not that of the Ego, or indeed of our social instincts. Its the bottom-line, of adaptation, that will superposition itself 'un'-consciously, from the level of individuals, right up to the highest level of 'group' (species-wide) representation. If this remains unconscious, then 'Darwin' is left to direct everything, and will do so. It isn't easy becoming conscious of the realities of impersonal collective forces. but that is part of the selective pressure test. Are any of us conscious enough? Being prepared for any challenge, is not the same as acting out instincts under their pressure, like an automaton. It is however, the best state of readiness an individual can be in, to find peers, and adapt to the chaotic circumstances that are likely, when a system approaching its singularity of collapse, generates the opportunity for a field reversal. Jung called this (borrowing from Heraclitus) 'Enantiodromia'. Kindest Regards, Steve

Fascinating video! It's been my opinion that society has divorced itself from nature and the farther we get away from it, the sicker society gets and that, eventually, Mother Nature would intervene to preserve life on earth. Which leads to my question: you mentioned China and war and I wonder if they are experiencing this call to war and expansion due to their one child law that has lead to an imbalance of male children and aborting their female babies? I remember being shocked as a young mother realizing how differently my hubby and I parented and how we balanced each other out.

Wotan emerging with the face of a woman? I see much of that mirrors in the 'Kali-Yaga', her time ruled by death, disease, and loss of instinctual boundaries as humanity essentially tosses it own trash (with some of that trash sadly becoming humanity itself). I do relate strongly to having been at that event horizon and actually come back, though what I'm coming back to is unfortunately the very scene of sickness which caused this. Darwin. Consciousness of self is the answer, but what is self besides yet another raft to be out in sea again.

The way our culture works (especially in decadence) sight is for losers and misfits (as is any 'unneeded' knowledge - such as compensating for bad genes or weakness of some kind), sleep is for winners and people with 'good genes' who were strong enough to never need to grow up or gain perspective. While I'd love to think this will turn out well I think all of the incentives are against that.

I appreciate putting these views out there, understandably stronger than much of the content you share. But in line with the inertia that is pulling us away there isn't a topic more important now. The collective frustration beneath what's happening is not far from me either. I imagine the collective pull will be to collapse in the culture to make sense of it, separating, going more unaware. The resolution seems at the level you describe. I would say though, that perspective can only be a starting point.

I disagree. The Tate Brothers and the reaction against them just proves how polarizing masculinity is. That "masculinity" is defined as this loud, brash, nearly hateful caricature of what it means to be a man, with all the reactions defining him as being "the problem" with masculinity despite the fact that very little everyday people could actually draw anything useful from him.
@Mocool68 Жыл бұрын
@@patrickkish6662 That would be awesome, though admittedly I have no idea what that would look like. Similar to James I've been with the guru scene since it's inception in the four horsemen/Atheist youtube days and it seems that whenever any total organizing principal emerges from within the culture another binary emerges to tear it apart (Atheism+ and the social justice scene soon after) and that pattern is even more pronounced with any male dominated movement.
