My biggest issue with Salvation was the fact that they took John Conners role in the resistance and reduced it to pretty much nothing. Like John is the resistance, he is the reason for it and they made him a standard grunt in it

⁠They couldn't just make him a General right off the bat. There had to be other military leaders still alive. Just because John had a history with those machines and knew something of how they worked and where they're from, that wouldn't have been enough of a reason to make him a global military commander at 18 years old, especially with people still around who were real military trained soldiers. Conner would have had to earn his place in the fight just like anyone else. He was an important asset, but no one would've bought his story about him being the leader to win the war. That would have had to play itself out to conclusion despite the losses and gains along the way. So Im glad they showed Conner as a leader to some, but still answerable to a military hierarchy that still existed and where he hadn't climbed all the way to the top yet. That could have been something we would've seen in later sequels if they didn't drop the Salvation storyline.

@@jlomesou but you're missing the point of what I said. He is the whole reason for the resistance. He created it, he organized it when he was an adult. That's the whole reason why Skynet was hell bent on killing him. It killed him, no resistance and Skynet wins. So again, that was one of the things that disappointed me about Salvation. That and I feel like they reduced the threat of the T800 just so John Conner wouldn't die to it at the end.

@@Fee-Nix tis true. Like if they took the time to build up some story of like; Conner started it but as time went by some older ex-military jerks felt they could do better and forced their way into command and demoted John. That would have helped it work.

The only thing I didn’t like about Salvation is that McG didn’t adequately flesh out Sam Worthington’s character; he should have included the scene that got the character on death row. Instead, Worthington spends the whole movie saying that he’s not a good guy, when all he does in the movie helps others. It would have added far more depth to his character if we saw how truly bad he was in order to provide more meaning to his penance in the future. The rest of the movie was good, but that one small omission is what failed to make it great.

I liked Genesis more so for certain fights sequences the old arnold vs original Arnold. The return of T1000... John Conner T3000..But not so much storyline

What I ain't go lie I love all them they all had they unique thing about them. Now I will say some scenes was redone from before films but they all was great to me (some better then others) . They all had potential to keep the story going. To this point cause once Arnold and Linda gone from them them I might leave it alone but for what it's worth they all was good to me.

If there is a Terminator new movie, it would make a lot of sense to reboot the franchise. I mean completely, new cast , new director and new story. Give new fresh life .Remember Halloween 2018 that movie brought new life to the franchise . The terminator needs a new direction, outside the box type of story. If done right , it can be revived. No Arnold, no, Linda. They should start with the origin story of the Kyle Reese or John Connor. Just have the movie focus of those 2 important characters to start with . I would board for that type of reboot.

Sarah has share to everyone how she found out about skynet took them to place it was born and files she had about it and pop wad also helping but others didn't know he was a michine..then had John being g born around judgement day or already born few years before judgement day .then had t3 take place were john learn truth about sarah past why John never met his grandparents on both side of family tree get mad take off on sarah he end up meeting his soon to be wife kathern bruiser John later learn that her dad is part of sarah past as well from teenager years who didn't like sarah because she expose person who created skynet who a twist was related to him firce that person to run from police fbi Cia. Told kathern about it and dad and daughter got into fight she learn he had plan to kill John and sarah even her if she refused to help him .at same time sarah learn she might be pregnant by john.t4 set up unclear war attack John kids were born a son and girl kathern had twins .t5 genisy take place were someone try rebuild skynet sarah John kyle kathern kids and pop go battle take it down .but someone took files before it blew up .set up t6 dark fate were john sarah pop dini her brother kathern and pop battle legion and pops dies .t7 take place my guess could be were john dies and sarah but dini take over learn legion capture her brother build new army met grace taught her everything she knew about legion how war with michine started .it becomes final ultimate war get inside legion huge base and factory dini met leader of legion who create it learn it is miles dyston son or john so. Turn against his family became a terminator himself because he was sick how his sister got all attention. Want take her out .my view .

Terminators 1, 2, and 6 were great, especially 1 and 2. Terminators 3, 4, and 5 were crap. Why were 1, 2, and 6 great? With 1, 2, and 6, almost the whole movie is an incredible chase and action scene, and a relentless terminator drives the chase and action. Why the writers/directors of 3,4, and 5 did not follow that example and instead produced crap, is hard to say. But it sounds like terminator 7 may again try to fix what ain't broke and end up producing more crap, instead of further developing what made 1, 2, and 6 unusually fun films.
