Thank you sir. We work very closely with our local emergency personnel and train with them. Most of my guys have light and heavy extrication training, TIMS training, grain bin recovery, and many others. It is my firm belief that we should all train together so that we can work together in pressure situations. In this way, everyone knows each others responsibilities and capabilities....also knowing when to stay out of the way and not be a part of the problem.

I'm a police dispatcher, This here has given me another view of an accident scene. Sitting in a room, behind a mic, we don't always know how it is on the road end (I've done a lot of ride alongs, but they are all different). I hope all involved are OK!

Thanks for watching. The people involved are alive, but could still use prayers. The gentleman is still in the hospital. The lady is out of the hospital with a broken arm and a lot of bumps and bruises. There are several parts of the video where you can see a broken tree on the far side of the vehicle. It is broken about 4' from the ground. The car was airborn when it hit and broke the tree. Wood from the tree is still embedded in the car. It's a miracle that they are alive.

Anybody who's ever questioned the use of sirens and red/blue lights on a recovery vehicle needs to watch this video. Having a major throughway blocked by rubber neckers and traffic is a detriment to everybody involved. From passing motorist, search and rescue, police and fire and recovery workers and equipment there's nothing worse than an extended stay on the side of the road from delayed recovery/removal events. The quicker you get in, the quicker you get out.

Great job on the video's Ron. You do the same thing I have done for 16 yrs behind the wheel of a wrecker when ever I was called to a bad one I would always pray for the family on my way to the scene along with prayers for my crew members on the scene with me that everything goes correctly. Ron prayers do work and can't tell you how many close calls I've had on the highways. As I tell everyone that ask me. When you have as many close calls as many of us has had in the middle of the night you find God. God bless you my fellow tow brother and be safe on the roads ahead.

I retired in 2001 softer a 36 year career as a Locomotive engineer. To this day, one of the dumbest questions I get is if I ever hit a car. I never tell anybody what happened out there. Ron, you do a good job making these videos. The comments are always to the point and even handed. The GoPro setup works well (sometimes a little dizzying watching where your eyes are going!) I watched another where you were showing a trainee how to rig up a trailer that had sunk down on the landing gear, always a patient tone and making sure you were understood. For someone who's done some trucking (and some instructing) there's a lot to learn here. Keep them coming and best of luck.

around where i live the wreckers never pick up the bumper covers that come off of cars in accidents. Always a bumper cover laying somewhere on the side of the hi ways on either side. Seems like a big safety issue to me to have them laying around on the sides of the hi ways. Is there a reason for that?

One of my greatest fears is being in a severe car accident. My anxiety is getting worse and its keeping me from driving. Unfortunately car accidents are so common and that's where my fear comes from. My son who just turned 19 waited til now to get his license and it makes me a nervous wreck, still grateful he was in no hurry to start. God bless this family and god bless you all!!

Rachel Jayne I pray you can find some relieve for your aniexty. My 16 yr old daughter deals with it and as a Mom watching their child struggle daily it is heartbreaking.
@Rachel_Jayne7 жыл бұрын
Donna G ... Thank you. Thats very kind of you to say. I'm working on it. I won't take anxiety meds as i personally feel they are dangerous and they knock me out. I hate to have this level of anxiety around driving and seeing things like this makes it almost unbearable. There's so many graphic accidents on KZbin and sometimes browsing is like slowing down on the highway to take a look... its hard to turn away. As i get older i think its gotten worse but i need to persevere because i spend way way too much time in the house and thats not living. Anyway thank you. Have a wonderful day... or night as the case may be!! 😊 As for your daughter, i hope her anxiety gets better. Treatment now will help a great deal .
@donnag49407 жыл бұрын
Rachel Jayne Thanks for the words of encouragement for my daughter. I will let her read this. She refuses to take meds as well. She said they make her feel to out of it and its hard to function at school. She is beginning to drive and experienced a panic attack just at the thought of it. I told her not to rush because she is still young and has plenty of time ahead of her. She has definitely made progress in conquering her anxiety. Some days are better than others as I am sure you are familiar with. Please take care of yourself and I wish you and your loved ones nothing but the best. Have a beautiful day and week. Good Luck with everything.😃

Man, thank goodness for seat belts and crumple zones, the spin and G forces that car went through when the right front hit must have been quite impressive. The soft soil while it probably was a causal agent at the start of the incident, was likely beneficial in softening the impacts.

The car actually was airbourne when it struck and BROKE a tree, then it spun and hit several smaller trees. It doesn't show up very well in the video, but you can see a tree that is broken about 4 feet from the ground. This was truly a miracle that both occupants survived.

glad to see the folks made it out alive...the car was a bit funny though. one flasher....still clinging to life the poor thing was. looked like an asleep at the wheel sort of wreck. if that was the case i hope the driver learned from it and pulls over when tired next time. if doing the smart phone thing though....i have no sympathy. too many people texting and surfing while driving. i am also no fan of "infotainment" systems in cars. drivers should be paying attention to driving...not digital devices. too many wrecks i have seen because f that sot of distraction. makes the commute a very scary thing when you see a driver looking at a phone or display instead of the road. technology can sometimes be a bad thing.
@RonPratt7 жыл бұрын
If I'm not mistaken, this accident occured after the driver suffered some kind of medical problem. The passenger got out of the hospital the following day with a broken arm and bumps and bruises. The driver didn't fair so well. He survived. The last I heard he would have a long recovery. As far as the distracted driving, I agree 100%. It is probably the most common reason for accidents.....I see it far too often.

I used to have a small wrecker, (one ton,) and while hooking onto a car on a busy highway, the lady driver was getting something out of her car. As she was going beside the vehicles to get back in the tow truck (safety) I grabbed her coat and yanked her towards me in between the two vehicles. She said with a horrified look on her face, " I felt that car touch my coat" Made me feel good to be able to prevent serious injury that day.

And another experience in Ontario, when i have hang out with a lodger guy with his machinery of wood and his truck, i was loving the cushion passenger seat. in another life, i was a trucker wife, maybe! its miss me... so i'm just in shock... discover this and i will love hang with you for see all those rescue all in one! i never really figure out what i want to do in life, because i am slightly handicaped mentally. i am slow learner and not affraid of blood. i always wanted to bring help... but people in Quebec-Canada are too much ass hole for me... i can't talk and i can't hav a nice discussion. i believe i am not born in the right country!!! i am unable to make friend and build a nice trust... they end up wanting my money and break my heart and my trust... even if i doesn't have a lot of money. so i end up watching many video on KZbin... and knit! i am scared of socializing at it is just a game of manipulation and i doesn't want it anymore. i like to take risk, but its always a psychologic game in Quebec... i doesn't wanna talk anymore! they reverse EVERY THING I SAY! Be lonely and in my stuff is my only escape and safe place for build up back my security before trying back again to socialise. and i doesn't want to tell my other problem i have at home... for a 36 years old i am. And i am missing a lot of gucci-touki-hugs and petting time with a cat. i like to smile and find no where reason to laugh instead crying or broking too much neutrality face i am doing. Enjoy your ride and breakfast sandwich! Milk to go is always better when you doing STRAWBERRY! 😊😇 friendly kiss and thumb up. 👍 life is beautiful! 💛

Seconds separate a nice car from scrap and life from death. We can pray for the recovery of the injured and we can pray people are more careful, what is missing here is never knowing how or if they recover. Seeing your machines in action, the devastation, the destruction, the challenges and the techniques used in your recoveries is all very interesting. It might be difficult or impossible to track down and follow up your stories of those who were hospitalized. Maybe you might persuade some volunteers to help you with that, then add a short piece even if only a few words to those videos where its applicable? I know you stay busy with your work and family and with your channel etc., and as a viewer to ask MORE from you is unreasonable but just thought I would offer that suggestion.
