Respect is a word and attitude that was instilled into me from a very young age. We need more of it in this world and certainly when it comes to people's final resting places.

So sad to see their mausoleum broken in to and destroyed. The living need to let the dead rest in peace. Wonder how they would feel if someone did that to them. Thank you GV for taking us here. Sending lots of love and wishing you and Sue and your families a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I know in ancient Rome, hundreds of mausoleums lined some of the roads going in and out of Rome, and they were called necropolis, I do believe! Perhaps, as the people in question were obviously of the upper class, they likely had a classical education, meaning Roman history, and he could've taken inspiration from ancient Rome! Of course, without further information, I'm only speculating here!!

It really disgusts me when I hear and see this kind of senseless damage, I was taught to respect graves and gravestones anything that didn't belong to me, but it still happens. Sad. But the angel is very beautiful as she sits there looking over the family. Thank you, GV.

The castle ruins are very interesting. Cool looking mausoleum and statue, the vandalism is disgusting. I hope whoever did it got caught. The first coffin looked empty, were the remains reburied somewhere else? Great video, thank you very much for sharing this GV. Have a great weekend 😀

How disgusting that someone should vandalize a Mausoleum like that. To rip open Coffins is unbelievable - let's hope those people are haunted for ever ! Great video yet again Cathal - thank you, and Serenity Sue, for all the lovely places you have taken us to. Please keep doing these videos - they are truly fascinating. Happy Christmas to you both - take care 🙂

you'd think grave robbers would be all business, jump in, see if there's anything of value, jump out. For some reason though it always seems like they go out of their way to do as much damage as possible for no particular reason other than spite.

What goes on in people's minds that they would decide to break into a mausoleum a person's resting place and wreck all around them.Thugs with nothing else to do.Respect is not present in some folks demeanor. If robbers are looking for valuables, why take a decomposing body? Maybe for student research back then? Cause of death was not as advanced back then. What would cause even student studies to give a free for all to any body people could find? These must have been under the table gambling type incidents for extra money.
