Mr. Dominic. I was lucky enough to find this I did follow you on your 1st venture with your buddy Connor. 2 episodes out of the gate now. Good show promising start love the format. Glad you guys were able to extrapolate yourselves from the ashes so to speak. A lot of those KZbin podcast I would support a little more but I'm in Niagara Falls Canada and being rather severely physically disabled don't have the means to participate in that way. Been a fan of Star Trek since the 80s seeing TOS in syndication and the original series movies. I do think enterprise was on its way to becoming a worthy successor and just needed more time

I was working at Paramount at the time"Becker" was in production. Their soundstage shared a back alley with ours & people would gather there to smoke or just take a break outside. Had the pleasure of meeting Terry once there. She was every bit as natural and charming as she is here. I'm glad the hosts spent so much time on her career around "Deep Space," as I indeed remember her from "Paper Dolls." I really enjoyed hearing her journey.

What a great episode. Love Terry, was lucky to meet her 7 ish years ago at a con in the UK. She was so lovely and I treasure the photos I have of her holding my few month old son who is about to turn 8! So lovely to hear more about her life and her career. My favourite character on DS9, I was so sad she wasn’t in season 7 but I have to say, what an amazing thing she did to fight for herself (and her character) like that. Great to have you back Connor and Dom and love the name! Thank you all 🖖🏻

This is a lovely surprise to appear before us, as Dominic said of Terry, like a "Chimera" before us. I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to hear her Describe her life and career. I have always enjoyed her work, especially as the beloved character Jedzia Dax. She is as lovely as ever and so charming as well. Great name for the new show and good to have Dom and Conner back in the saddle. Thank you new producers Dave and Michelle for brining this experience to the fans.

I shared ST with my daughter when she was young. she liked TNG (Data) however, DS9 was/is her jam. Dax resonated with her and to this day DS9 is our show. Good to see Connor and Dom back! Great episode and always nice to see and listen to Terry!

Loved Terry's stories about working with Rodney Dangerfield. I just heard a great Rodney story from an interview with Eddie Murphy. Eddie said when he was starting out he did an open mic night at Dangerfield's, and back then, Eddie's act was laden with f-bombs and racial humor... after his set, he said Rodney came up to him and said "You're funny, kid, you're funny, but that racial stuff and all the f this and f that, that ain't gonna fly. You gotta lose that." Eddie said seven years later he did a show in Vegas, came backstage and was using the men's room, and Rodney came in and silently stepped up to the urinal next to his and a few silent moments just said "Who knew?"

I met Terry at a con in Toronto in 2015. I was at her media scrum but I was not there to see her. After her scrum, while she signed merch for her next session, we just struck up a conversation, not speaking about television at all. Schooling for Max and maintaining gardens if I do recall. It was a delight, as was she. And like Erin Gray, who I met at another convention, gorgeous while aging gracefully.

Oh wow I was a latch key kid too. When we were in elementary school we learned how to cook or we would not get dinner until 10:00 pm sometimes. We would at least start dinner or defrost something. Mom always had instructions. So all of us my 2 brothers and I learned to cook and for my brothers it is a passion today. Lots of gourmet cooks in the family but only My Aunt and cousin did a restaurant.

DS9 was my least favorite on original airing but re-watching it again more recently I can now appreciate the depth that went into the ideas, the stories, and the characters. It was a whole different thing to what had gone before, and even what came after. Terry's portrayal of Dax is one of the best examples of how good DS9 truly was.

The thing I get from these interviews is, real people are doing the work of storytelling and building our culture.

1:09:58 It makes logical sense to me with why it's "okay" to depict someone being murdered vs a same-sex love affair. I mean going with the mindset of impressionable children are watching the show. I can obviously only speak on my experiences with my children (and first hand stories from other parents); when it came to violence, the kids understood that was pretend, and not something to emulate. When it came to same sex sexual stuff, it confused them immensely. Things such as wondering if a baby can be conceived by a man and a man or woman and woman. Early on, I was against my son playing (extremely explicit) violent video games, but my very old school liberal minded wife explained to me that it's fine as long as they understand that's fantasy and not expressing volatile traits. But when it comes to sexual stuff, that's a whole other ballpark. I mean it's not good to expose small children to _anything_ of a sexual context, but the same sex stuff just adds a layer that doesn't need to be there. And again, I'm only talking about this stuff being watched by children, so teens/adults aren't the issue. This is where I think the woman that was complaining was coming from. *And I genuinely don't mean this in some political divisive way, I just wanted to share my own view. Being an (often unintentional but there it is lol) empath, I can understand all different points of perspectives.
