YES!!! Cannabis and Mushrooms are both Adaptogens, so they work synergistically together. I have been using them together for five years on my rescue farm (dogs, chickens, pigs, geese, bunnies)

Angela nice to hear you are using this together as I am just starting to add MM to my pets diets along with cannabis oil. My dog who has thunderstorm issues even with Cannabis oil was much calmer when we had a storm the other day. I never connect it until now.

When Covid started I had a lot of spare time to learn new hobby’s. I learned how to grow medical mushrooms like lions mane, reishi and turkey tail on wood blocks. Dr. Christopher Hobbs has an amazing book on medicinal mushrooms loaded with information and instructions on making extract powder. I have mason jars filled with various mushroom powders and put 1 gram of powder in my coffee everyday remembering to take a week off every couple weeks. I’m truly amazed at the difference reishi has made on my stress. I feel calmer, and just feel better mentally. I’m thankful for you guys getting this information out there.

What’s your opinion of Dragon Herbs duanwood reishi? Triple extraction
@RealMushrooms
@RealMushrooms 24 күн бұрын
While we can't speak directly towards other brands, here is what I can tell you, At Real Mushrooms, we only use the mushroom (fruiting body) for all of our extracts. This is what has been used traditionally, as well as what the bulk of medicinal mushroom research is based on. We highlight the fact that our products come from mushrooms because many so-called mushroom products on the market do not actually contain any mushrooms at all! This is the norm for companies selling mycelium biomass (mycelium grown on grain). What they always fail to disclose is the grain that the mycelium grows on which ends up in the final product. Much of what you're paying for is actually grain! This results in a product that is high in alpha glucans (grain, starch) and low in the immune-modulating beta D-glucans. Fungal beta D-glucans are one of the most well-regarded and studied compounds to date surrounding medicinal mushroom research. There is almost no research that supports mycelium on grain products. The truth behind Polysaccharides It is a similar situation when you look at liquid tinctures. Tinctures are mostly comprised of alcohol and water with very few of the active compounds present. On the other hand, a mushroom extract powder is a tincture but with the solvents (water and alcohol) removed. None of your money is paying for water and alcohol; just pure mushrooms. You can read more on this matter below... www.realmushrooms.com/mushroom-tincture-or-powder-for-pets/ Lastly, here are some good investigative questions to ask yourself when searching for the highest-quality mushroom product. > Is it extracted from the mushroom (fruiting body)? > Is it certified organic? > Does it measure levels of beta-glucans (preferably in the supplements panel)? > Is it guarded against fillers? We hope this all helps and gives you ponder 💭 🍄 Cheers :)

Chaga is typically referred to as the “king” of medicinal mushrooms, reishi is queen and is the most studied of any mushrooms.
@RealMushrooms
@RealMushrooms Жыл бұрын
The "king" title has changed many hands over the years. If you speak with Jeff Chilton, founder of Nammex who has been in the industry for over 40 years, he'll tell you that: - in the 80s shiitake was king - in the 90s maitake was king - in the 2000s reishi was king Now chaga seems to be called the "king", likely due to David Wolfe's book "Chaga: King of the Medicinal Mushrooms" and other brands furthering Wolfe's narrative. Ultimately, we'd say reishi is the true king, with the longest history of use and biggest body of evidence.

Can Reishi power extract cause liver toxicity? I have read that it does, can this be confirmed?
@RealMushrooms
@RealMushrooms 3 жыл бұрын
When it comes to reishi and it's potential in being toxic to the liver, it's important to understand that there are many health factors to consider. Such as past medical history, past medical diagnosis, liver function, kidney function, allergies, sensitivities, existing health conditions, synergies of intake etc. The key thing is to make sure that the reishi has undergone extraction to draw out the beneficial compounds that reside in the cell wall of reishi. Dried-up raw reishi powder (unextracted) has the potential of being harder on the body. The reishi mushroom we use has undergone dual extraction, aka they're not raw. In fact, reishi mushroom extracts are known to be hepatoprotective (liver protecting). Many of the health benefits reside in extracted compounds like beta D-glucans and triterpenes. There have been one or two case studies documenting reishi and liver toxicity but limited information was given RE: dose, company, frequency. This is why it is important to use a regulated natural health care products that are approved by governing bodies, have good GMP's, have an adverse reporting system in place and that come with a certificate of analysis (COA).
