Je suis tellement content que ça passe par les vidéos. Bonsai devrait être apaisant pour l'artiste et l'observateur, je pense :)

Terry do you have a video showing your personal collection?
@TerryErasmusbonsai2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking but I have not done such a video. Perhaps in the future.

Could you explain the method of cutting the roots off a seedling to become a sort of cutting. A video on that and/or making JBP cuttings would be great.

Hi Paul in my pine playlist I have done a video but I will do another in a few weeks as I am growing more pines from seed currently.

Amazing results for only a few years from seed! What is the role of the carbon in the mix, Terry?
@TerryErasmusbonsai2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Victor. Carbon acts as a sponge for impurities and also as a pH buffer preventing the mix to become too acid.

Amazing Tree. So a minimum of 5 to 6 years before starting to cut the sacrifice branches back? Max

Great video. Hey terry when u say agricultural carbon do u mean charcoal? I cant seem to find any to buy online as far as carbon. And would this type of soil compostion be ok for a black pine in refinement? I live in N.Y. and going to repot my jbp next spring. Im going to try the half and half method
@TerryErasmusbonsai2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Chris. Agricultural carbon means Biochar also. I would not say it’s charcoal, unless you personally made it in a fire using wood. Charcoal often has chemical additives to make it burn better. Equal parts akadama, pumice and lava (scoria) is best but you can use equal parts akadama and pumice too. Good luck! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Im curious if there is a way to make hackberry cuttings. I tried it before and none has made any roots. Also searched for it on Google but i do not get info on it. I think it would make nice compact trees if i could pull that off
@TerryErasmusbonsai2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure Jaco, I’ve only done air layering which is very easy with them. I don’t know anytime who has tried from cutting either. Sorry.
